As a self proclaimed nosey brand designer I love videos like this as I get to see (and learn) how other creatives structure their projects! Looking forward to seeing more 💛
Omg hiiiii 🙈 Didn’t expect to see you in the comment section, been a fan for a while! Totally! Everyone has their own way of doing things. Thanks so much 💞
I just want to say, as a graphic design student who wants to start taking clients and build my portfolio, THIS IS SO HELPFUL. I’ve always wanted to take clients and had no idea where to start 😵💫 I’m glad I stumbled upon this series and I can’t wait to take this info and put it into action!!
omg your deserve so many subscribers! you are amazing graphic designer.your process is amazing, complete and extremely professional. ty so much for this video!
thank you so much for sharing the whole process❣ can you make a video about your first client, how it went and do's and don'ts to avoid mistakes...it will be really helpful🤗
I've been wanting to understand brand identity design for so long but i haven't found anyone who describes each process so well!!! This was an amzing video extremely informative and clearly shows your passion and dedication! Love it!! Thank you so much for the help!
Can you please please make a video on how to use specific tools on illustrator like the pen tool and the pencil tool? I am an aspiring designer and I struggle really hard with these tools, especially the pen tool and I cannot find anywhere where they explain in a beginner-friendly manner. I would realllllly appreciate it, I am sure a lot of others will too. Love your work so much, true inspiration x
Hey Ms Condy, great video by the way. Very instructive. Can you do a video about how to design a questionnaire for clients? Setting really guides as to what exactly the prospects should provide you with inorder to see their visions becomes stressful i was wondering what are your principles about this step. Thank you.
this video is actually incredible and your process is soooo much more buttoned up than any agency I've ever worked for! Thanks for sharing, excited to see the other parts in this series drop!!
Oh this was an amazing video, im new in the brand desing world and it can get pretty stressing yet you made it look so simple and clear, so so helpful!
Thanks for your tips and I really appreciate your attempt of making this video. Love your colorful vibe and attitude. Hope in the next video you can turn down the background music volume a little bit 🎁
I really needed to hear about iteration on paper without looking at Pinterest - I need to do this. I agree that seeing other work really can take away your own creativity x
New subscriber here! The logo you came up with was so pretty! I love your design style, this is such a helpful series, especially for aspiring designers (like myself)
Hi!! This is super heplful. I´m just starting and I still don't get the courage to start cause I want to be well prepared with a decent portfolio. I love the way you organice your tasks. Beautiful designs
I am new to Branding. How long does it take you to walk a client through the process? Do you have a video that talks about once they make initial contact, how long the process takes, start to finish?
Thank you for the great work! Love to watch other designers work flows. I love that you research colors, typography sets and photography styles before designing a logo. That’s genius! I usually go in reversed way and sometimes it’s frustrates me and affects my decision making.
Yesss it's definitely a game changer! I used to do the same thing and it gives me WAY less decision paralysis 😂 Totally! I think everything should be considered holistically, parts are still bound to change of course but it definitely makes it a lot easier to design. Thanks for watching!
quick question.. not related to this video.. I visited your website while watching this video.. and I love how it is beautifully designed. I also see that you have gradients on your website. My question to make a long story short is.. 😅How did you implement beautiful gradients on your website?
@@gloriacondy cool cool.. I'm currently on the old Squarespace 7.0 and working on making the switch to the 7.1 version. I love gradients and I definitely will want to add that to the website to make it look a little snazzy 😅♥️💯 thanks for the reply.. really appreciate you
This is great content. I would only advise to lower the volume on the music in the video. At points it's quite loud and makes it hard to hear what you're saying clearly. At other points it's just distracting and had to go back to listen to what was said
Question about mockups: when I export mockups, and try to add them to branding presentation for behance or for clients, they are so large that they become really weird in a 1400px wide presentation, so is there some guide that I can use to understand the sizing and resizing of mockups?
As a design student, I'm really confused about what files should I export and in what format like ai file or pngs? after completing the entire branding from logo variations to brand stationeries, merchandise n packaging etc... and as we use different fonts of different sizes and other design elements across all the like business cards, merch, clothing, packaging so what should I do so that my client could easily understand what size of fonts should be used for particular stuff example- for business cards, on packaging , tshirt etc
Absolutely! I totally understand where you're coming from. It can be difficult to figure out exactly what files to deliver to the client. Generally, you want to give them everything they need so they never have to bug you for files in the future. The frustrating part is that every designer does this differently, there is no one set of file types to export, and every client will require different files. It also depends on the types of logos you have created for your client... (a wordmark vs a logo with a mascot might have different orientations).. so the process even changes then. It is a completely custom process for every project, all of my client logo folders are different. Generally, I will organize each folder with the top layer being all of the orientations > then filetypes (AI, JPEG, PNG, PDF, SVG) and if there's a lot of different colours > I'll break down the colours. If it's a vector file, I only export one size. If it's a raster file, I'll export the same file - small, medium, and large size, with the size in the title of the logo. Your job is not to worry about explaining the different sizes to the clients, you should explain what the file types are and the typical scenarios they would use them, but typically clients will not ask you what resolution file they should use - if they're working with a printer the printer will typically ask for vector files. If they're working with a designer, the designer will ask for vector files. If they're doing something themselves, they will probably try each file size until they find one that looks clear. 😂
How do you go about any maintenance a brand might need? Like for example, updating and maintaining their website or creating additional collateral after the offboarding process?
hello gloria you're very sweet and lovely for putting this out there but may i request a full stream walkthrough of a client project there really isn't just a full unedited stream type of video for making a brand design for a client

Dear Gloria, kindly turn down your background music, we are here to listen you 😍 not the music . Thanks you so much

Squarespace! They recently released an update that allows you to change the background to gradients of all sorts. Love it 🫶

Do you have a template for sale for the end document, to show clients how to use the files. Need it but don’t want to spend extra time on it :)
Do you find printing those gradient s difficult? Had your client told you anything about printing them?
I am quite concerned about the vibrancy...
May i ask how many hours you spend a month on pre-call work that do not lead to landing a client?
This is great content.

What about when they refuse to provide feedback and they just want to rely on your expertise ? 😅

We create a new contract and I create a new folder for each new project!
Whats the best place to get help writing ur own terms of service and contracts?
I’d like to get better at research and also making contracts
Great, thanks for the comment! New video on that coming soon 🫶✨
