Another portfolio idea: Title cards for your favourite movies/short films/music videos/tv shows! You could even experiment with motion graphics for a short opening credits scene
A quick one I love is design a simple postage stamp for your hometown or cities you've visited
Project Idea: Cover artwork! or branding for a Musician's/Band's latest album

Another Idea: Movie posters and music album covers, either variations of existing ones or for fake movies/bands. I’ve done this before and it’s really interesting trying to convey emotions and genres.

An idea that maybe for someone who is more illustration centered could be tarot cards! or going for a new theme of cards for the game magic! you could play with the name of the tarot cards, also play with the description on each magic card, the colors, etc.
Also making a stationary branding could be really fun! from making sticky notes, or envelopes, etc.

Question: For example I would like to do a magazine design, so what should I do with the magazine content? I can come up with photos related to magazine topics but have no idea about writing content. Should I use generator or write it myself? Let’s say it’s a fashion magazine.
You can use a word generator or even placeholder text! No need to become a writer just for a design project haha☺️

All great ideas. I'll be doing the ones for social media design, that's one of my favourites to do but to stretch myself I'll explore the campaign design idea
One question: Images? Where to get them? Let's say an ad campaign for a fashion company, as you mentioned. Where would you get pictures from? You can't use from their website, because pictures are a main part of a campaign and at this point, you just copy the old campaigns. Also you can't use their pictures on your own website portfolio.
Stock images help! I utilize the stock images available through Canva, both free and pro options are great.
pexels is a great resource! And yes, that's with two Es, no I :)
Pixabay has a good variety picture
"Dupe" photos is a new site, copyright free images and videos in Pinterest or Instagram reel/story style.
You can use websites like pexels, pinterest, unsplash etc.
Personally i use pexels because here you can easily get your desired high quality pics

Collage is something that probably won’t be the 1st thing that comes to mind when making a portfolio but oh boy if it isn’t a refreshing idea esp given how much fun u can have with it

most mockup sites will have photoshop files to download, so I’m actually not too sure about other apps!

this is probs a stupid question, but how do you find the products? like are you photoshopping it together or finding something that’s already online?
For physical things I like to make them and photograph them myself! But it depends on your style of course☺️
