You have an amazing english!!! At first, I just listened to this while working, and there were a couple things in your pronunciation that told me you might be Swedish. But then I watched it a second time to take notes, and I saw that your InDesign is in Swedish, and I felt so excited that I had nailed it 😆! By the way, this guide is absolute Gold, thank you so much.

Heyy Kayla, thanks so much for this , I just subscribed and I’ll be on the lookout for new content. Also I can’t seem to find the Lin to the templates in the video description. Thanks
I am so loving this ❤🎉. 😊. Thank you so much for sharing. I have taken down notes, understand the process (and maybe add some of my own 😊). Question: 1. Other than Google Scholar and Google Search engine, what platforms can you suggest in doing the competitors' research and the market trends on branding for a specific industry? 2. How many social media template designs do you usually make for the client for brand development? 3. How many HOW MIGHT WE questions/goals should be included? These are just some questions that came up while watching your video. Hope you can help shed light on this... Watching for more of your videos❤
Hi! I'm so happy you found the video helpful! 😊 Here are some answers: 1. Pinterest trends, Trend Bible and places like Statista can be really helpful. Social media can also be a great place to find comments and interactions from the audience. 2. It depends on their needs but we usually create 1-5 depending on the type of content they post. For example, Instagram stories might need 3-5 templates while carousels might only need one. 3. I suggest no more than 5 to keep the project focused. I hope that helps! 🙌
It's clear how much effort you put in creating your videos. Thanks for inspiring us to be better in our design work and sharing your insights into how we can improve. Your videos are always a gem. Absolutely amazing work. I have one request though, can you walk us through how you typically design a website for a real client? Will appreciate it if possible. Thanks a bunch. It was great and very informative video to learn all about brand design process from scratch. Loved this and your Smiling face 😄. Thanks to Kayla for this one !! ❤👍
Hi Kayla , i really love your content ... You really describe everything so easily. I just had a question regarding brand proposal . So we need to show them the proposal on call or we just send it to them . Also after they select which package they are choosing, do we need to change it means do we need to remove other pricing and update that with selected pricing? Please let me know.
Hi! Great questions 😊 I usually have a call before the proposal to give me enough information to really create a custom suggestion. I then email the proposal and if they have not answered after a few days, I follow up over email. Once they have chosen one, I remove the other options and add the approved proposal to the project management tool so everything is clear. I hope that made things clearer! Thank you for watching and asking such helpful questions 🙌
Its always great to get to know another designer's entire process. Realsiing that it is SO DIFFERENT than your own. Amazinf deatil and value added. Great video.
It woul really be amazing if you could specify the video section. Would help us if we want to get back and watch any specific topic of the video Thanks!
Hi...This is very useful content that you have shared. Thank you so much.I would like to know while exporting the logos is there any standard size to set up the artboard?
Hi! That is a great question, I have wondered the same thing and Googled my way to an answer that has worked for me :) I tend to share a few versions with my client, including the Adobe Illustrator file if they need a very big version. My standard is around 300 px on the shortest side. However, I often provide a favicon (16x16 pixels) and a social media profile image (usually around 320x320). I also make sure nothing looks pixelated but I want smaller sizes since it means a smaller digital environmental footprint. I hope that makes sense! :)
Hey kayla, I hope you are doing well, i am stuck with a basic but very irritating issue, iam facing problem while dragging images from pintrest board to adobe illustrator. Please guide me that which extension or method is for dragging image directly on illustrator. Thank
Thank you for this awesome class. I had a question. What is the difference between the first initial call and the Discovery call? I mean, what are the question differences/categories? I'm kind of confused. Thanks!
Great question! :) Yes, the initial call is very casual and just a way for us to see if we are the right fit for the client and if they are a good fit for us. We ask about the project and what they are looking to get help with. Essentially, we are asking questions that help us create an effective proposal. The call is usually 20-30 minutes. The discovery call is the foundation for the brand strategy. It is much longer, usually 2-3 hours and we go into depth about their customers, goals and offers. We want to understand what makes their business different from competitors and how we can create a unique brand for them. We made this video on the discovery meeting, maybe you will find it helpful! ruclips.net/video/-e-7Cggc1sY/видео.html&ab_channel=Kayla

This could be related to me having adhd but I struggled paying attention to the info because of the background music. I read very good review comments but I can’t focus, so after 3minutes of trying, I’ll stop watching. Hope this helps
Great question! RGB is for digital use and CMYK for print. Most clients need digital versions for places like social media and their website so RGB is good for that. If they also print (like business cards or t-shirts), you can send a CMYK version as well. I hope that helps!
Hello , here for some advices , ive been a chef for 13 years, im looking for a change of career, and ive always been passionate about branding, logo creations, drawing, so i would like to start to work in this kind of indsutry . problem : i dont have any diploma or qualification except the things that im practicing at home during my days off. my cost of living ( bills , rent ) doesn't allow me to fully stop working to go back to study unfortunately. any idea of how i could get started, how can i make a first step in ?
Hi, great question! I don't have a degree actually :) I started my business on the side when I was studying and then a few years later went full time. If you have a few hours in the evenings or some time on weekends, you can build up your portfolio with personal projects and post to social media. That way, clients can see your work and hire you for freelance projects. When you have enough work consistently to support your costs, you can go full time if you like :) I hope that helps, good luck!
@@Kayla-app i want to ask Is the contract process only for Designers/agency who had registered their business or an individual designer can also follow this ? Because I'm not signing contracts and haven't got issues till now, just wanted to know if i should follow this .
Do you show the logo alone to your client after creating it and asking for their opinion on it or do you finish the whole concepts process and then show ur client everything ?
Great question! I always show the full concept together with the logo since it helps clients see how it will be applied in practice. I think it increases our chances of getting a yes for the full vision and fewer rounds of revisions. I hope that helps! :) How do you approach showing concepts?

If you have a few hours in the evenings or some time on weekends, you can build up your portfolio with personal projects and post to social media. That way, clients can see your work and hire you for freelance projects. When you have enough work consistently to support your costs, you can go full time if you like :) I hope that helps, good luck!
@@Kayla-app thank you very much for taking the time to answer have a lovely day❤
Great ❤, just a doubt:
can a individual designer who is not registered online sign the contract ? Any steps/guidelines to follow ?
Is this for using Signable? If so, anyone with an email can use Signable. Just let me know if I misunderstood your question 😊
Love your content. Going to lap it all up! Just wondering though. Could you share your proposal on Canva? So much easier to use!

hi! What tool is that you are using at 24:25 where you are collaborating with the client on the discovery ?
It's called HolaBrief, I have really enjoyed using it and the team is super friendly! ✨
What's the name of the software for setting up the client portal again?
