Hi! I'm so happy you enjoyed it 😊 Sure! We definitely need to give it a bit more attention but I hope you find it helpful regardless 🙌 Here is a link: se.pinterest.com/futureformstudio/
Hi Kayla, Thanks for your videos; you are so nice and inspiring! Can I ask about the timing of each part of your process? For example, how many hours do you spend on research?
Hi Stephanie, great question! For branding, we typically spend around 2-3 weeks on research, 4 weeks on concepts and a few weeks on revisions and wrap up. We can have more than one project at a time though. Having a bit more buffer helps me be more creative. How about you? What does your process look like? 🙌
@Kayla-app hi! I spend one week for the research, two for the logo, one for the branding and one or two for changing. Anyway, research is a fundamental part for me 😊
Hi Kayla, First of all, I'd like to thank you for your valuable video and I wanna ask you about something which blinds my mind How to integrate the brand's values and mission and vision in the logo, I mean how to give the logo the personality of the company I thank you once again
Hi! I'm so happy that you enjoy the videos :) That is a big question so I'm going to link two videos I think might help. This first one is about brand research: ruclips.net/video/V5SeUvCCndM/видео.html&ab_channel=Kayla and in this second one I design 100 ideas for the same brand and talk through how to come up with ideas: ruclips.net/video/hz_D9BU3yrI/видео.html I hope that helps! :)
Great question! I am not a lawyer so I can't give a 100% sure answer, but here is what I have learned. As far as I understand, Canva has the rights to all logo templates they create so anyone who uses Canva is allowed to use those templates. That means that if you/your client has used a template, you might not be able to trademark a logo created in Canva. I'm not sure if the same applies to logos you have created with elements rather than templates. If you do, make sure you have a Canva pro account so that you can share/use png files with a transparent background. Adobe Illustrator or Figma are better options but you can design in Canva if those are not an option for you. I hope that helps! :)
Are you thinking about how enforceable it is? I have based mine on the template created by AIGA which is a great place to start. We also ran it by a lawyer, but it was a few years ago now :) Since we all sign it, it should have some weight but I am not a lawyer so if you feel unsure, it might be a good idea to pay a lawyer for an hour or so to look over yours. I hope that helps! :) Mostly, I use the contract as a way to make sure we are on the same page and avoid confusion.
Very helpful to understand the process taught in the simplest manner 👏
