I know a lot of you have been waiting on this episode. What a Banger!? Don’t forget those hints to our next show, this one is a straight gimme, so I hope to see some predictions in the comment thread🙏🏾
“I want to go my own way make my own decisions.” Nacho from 5x10. For a moment he was in control on his own choices. He didn’t listen to Gus or Hector. Rip Nacho. He went out like a G.
The Desert Bluebell is the name of the flower that was growing on the spot where Nacho died in the cold open. In folklore it symbolizes many things, including everlasting love, enlightenment, truth-telling, and humility. A pretty fitting flower for Nacho. RIP. In an interview, Michael Mando said that when he got the part, he wanted to “honor the New Mexican culture” and not play the stereotypical brown-skinned bad guy. He remembered listening to this Latin American historian who told a story of Aztecs & Mayans. The historian spoke about how the strongest men in the village would compete in a sport that the community watched. The winners would willingly sacrifice themselves for the God to bring rain to their lands. He talked about how their relationship with life, death, and the afterlife was very different from the Western understanding and fear of death. It was all about when you die and what you die for. Nacho’s final moments are about choosing his own way, going out on his own terms (despite this awful situation), and the selfless sacrifice he does to save his father. He does the right thing to protect his dad. And in the cold-open flash forward, we see that desert bluebell (a sign of Nacho’s everlasting love for his dad), and we see rain falling on that dry desert. While everyone else in that desert is quickly and violently snuffed out by an opponent. Nacho got to go on his own terms.
Now that's how you write and finish a character arc. Perfect... and the way Michael Mando delivers that "You think of me, you twisted fuck!" would terrify even Vaas, lol. RIP the King 👑
I see Nacho's death as more triumphant than sad. He went out on his own terms. He defied Gus' plan, denied him the reputation of the guy who "killed the traitor", said the greatest fuck you to the salamancas of all time AND kept his dad safe. Nacho had the last laugh against all of his oppressors. What a badass.
Nacho is my 3rd favorite character in the show. I think this episode’s ending is my favorite scene in the show as well, so satisfying monologue from Nacho and what a badass character. Nacho overcame every Salamanca in different ways. He showed Tuco respect, showed Hector ruthlessness, showed the twins loyalty (even when he was wounded), and with Lalo he showed intelligence and boldness.
I like how haul recognizes what he's doing is bad and doesn't try to delude himself unlike Saul. It's interesting to get that bit of characterization from him.
We all knew that everyone exept lil' Nachito is gonna make it into the BrBa timeline, but the show still manages to keep you on the edge of your seat wondering how this episode will end. (thankfully not with a cliffhanger lol) Also 21:34 Bolsas drip is unmatched here!
He got the glass piece from the broken shards of glass in the trash from the drinking glass Gus broke last episode with his carelessness. This is kind of showing that Gus is getting more sloppy than usual, and Nacho was able to take advantage of that to go out on his own terms.
That final scene is amazing, especially when you think that every single person in that scene is dead. Beautifully written, masterfully acted. Gorgeous direction. A fitting ending for Nacho's story. (I can't believe Formal celebrating Nacho shooting himself... That's cold, man... .)
Bro said Gus just do an about face on yo ass...🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yo, Gus is a cold cat. He was my favorite character in Breaking Bad, but this show kinda made me glad he got his fucking face blown off...and I'm glad it was Hector who sent him on his way.....Y'all wild for the Hammer pants though 😂😂😂
You know something seeing how Gus and Mike relationship is, it makes since that he pulled the gun out on him when he slit Viktor throat all of a sudden in the lab
Honestly the night this aired I was sure Nacho was gonna find a way out, I thought a character that had been in the series since the premiere was safe, but I was wrong :(
The score playing when nacho is in the van getting zip ties, fucking dope. This was my favorite episode so far in seasom 6. They are all great so far. You guys should be caught up by next week. Excited to see you two react. It's been a heavy, heavy season. Better call saul might be my favorite tv show of all time. The ending needs to be good and they got my title.
I watched this episode a couple of weeks late and was not able to avoid some spoiler images because of yt algorythm, so I kinda knew what was coming, but it didnt make it any easier, I still cried for last ten minutes. Perfect ending to an incredible character and Michael Mando's acting in the last scene is absolutely phenomenal. Apart from all this great stuff what stands out to me in this episode is Mike and Nacho's relationship. Mike remains the only person Nacho respects, Mike tried several times to get him out of Gus's hand and it hurts him to watch Nacho only fall deeper into the game until only way out is this "full measure". It once again changes my perspective on Mike in BB and the way he treats Jesse, he sees history repeat itself with yet another person he can't help
@@FriendRequestReviews he seemed to treat major characters that way, even if they’re not as young. He was able to motivate Jimmy to not lie down and die in Bagman and he had saved Jimmy multiple times.
OH it just occurred to me that Kim must have signed in and shown her Bar card when she went to see Lalo in jail..... I wonder if all of that is over....
Yeah. I'm glad they spliced in the wtf clip for that. It's an emotional gut punch and a payoff to a character established over 6 seasons. People are free to make up their own mind, but I was very surprised by his rating.

Michael Mando in the interviews said the last call was nacho subtexually saying "will u run away with me and live happily ever after?" His papa says no so he decides,"then I will go back into the fire and sacrifice myself for u" he says that nacho is probably the only character in the show who broke good and makes his choice a decision purely out of love for his father symbolised by the flower in the desert
So we're ten episodes in and we never saw the lady DA Erickson again, or heard anything about this "rat" offer. And because of what happened to Nacho this episode, nobody remembers that scene. All I can say is "hmm". Did Kim become a CI after breaking up with Jimmy? Is it possible that somehow Jimmy became a CI, to keep Kim out of trouble, while double dipping and still doing illegal acts with Walt? There has to be a reason this scene exists. I guess it could be to show how far Kim is slipping that she uses terms like "rat" now. But maybe there's something more.

It was definitely perfect! I’m glad he got all of that off his chest too, called Chicken Man a joke, and told Hector who put him in that chair 🔥🔥🔥
lets go ive been anticipating this all day lol
Definitely a great episode!
Nacho before his death is the one man to strike fear into the Salamanca's, bolsa and gus & his men at the same time.
he did have them all on their toes in that scene!
Nacho had his own episode in season 1 episode 3 called "Nacho" now his last episode is in season 6 episode 3. Poetic.
The look on Mike's face is heartbreaking at the end.
