- We took our 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T/ Scat Pack 1320 back to the drag strip to try and beat our previous best time of 12.20 @ 112 MPH. This time the air was a little cooler so that big 392 HEMI wasn't choking on hot air so bad and after a long hiatus from drag racing, I was feeling more comfortable and felt better in the car. Next time we are taking out the passenger seat, rear seat and the H/K sub box. Think we will knock it into the 11s?
Mopar Insiders That should definitely help. How low of psi can you run with spinning the tire off the rim.
The 1320 wheels have knurled bead seats to help prevent spinning the tire on the rim. That said they are such a low profile tire I really wouldn't want to go any lower than 17 PSI and to be honest I'm not even sure I'll go that low again. Eventually we will pick up a set of 18 inch wheels and go with an ET Street R in the back and some skinnies up front.

I feel for you not getting your 11.99 pass :( .. 1600 DA it should have run a 11 no problem .. My 1320 in a 1900 DA ran 11.80s @ 115 and forgot to turn off the traction control .. In a 1600 DA with the traction control off it has run 7.45 @ 93 at our 1/8 mile track .. I just foot brake mine to 1200 RPM and it runs 1.65 60s .. I would pull the H/K sub box out along with the rear seat and passenger seat and give it another try .. Guessing here that the rear seat is 44 pounds and 68 pounds for the passenger seat and maybe 20+ pounds for the subs ? That should get you in the 11s ..

Smokinzx14 ok, and are you smashing the throttle at 1200 or do you roll into it? And does ambient temperatures effect tire pressure?
I'm just smashing it ... yes ambient temperatures effect tire pressure.. I check it after very pass and adjust if needed ..

theres alot of variables that go into this car running a 11.7, Oil choice, driver body weight, track prep, gas selection, air temp.... the list goes on n on
I noticed one of your problems. You are driving thru the water. Drive around and back up. I leave at 2100 on transbrake and get 1.6 60s. Also run 18 psi in rear tires and 44 in fronts

Christine Brunton yeah it's a beautiful machine, and is awesome how the SRT engineers interchanged some performance parts from the demon with it. Consequently in doing so, they produced the quickest NA production vehicle on the planet and is not your average Scat Pack. LOL whatever the temp was in Canada today, I'd take it over the miserable desert Southwest and was 106 in chandler AZ for today's high. Incredibly though, it's been a little cooler and was 114 one day last week with an average of about 110. It's way too hot to run them during the day obviously, so the tracks do not open until the sun goes down and cools off. But during the winter is when everything comes alive, and then there are car events going on everywhere 👍🏼

Dodge should've made the seat delete and light weight front seat cost $1 like the demon

So it seems like the non launch control don’t work and your launching the car at 2000 rpm without launch control
I have the same car but wide body so what rpm should I launch mine, and do you recommend launch control or no

Didn't race the widebody scat, I got paired up against a 392 SRT Challenger instead. He beat me since my transbrake didn't activate so I left the light late. He ran a 12.8 to my 12.2
Mopar Insiders you say in the video that you raced a widebody did you or did you not because I’m looking to get a new challenger thinking about 1320 or a widebody they say a widebody is faster
Mopar Insiders it was your 3rd race you say a widebody scat then when you took off you said a 392 some people say 392 even if it’s a scat
Was going to get paired up with a Scat widebody but got paired up with a 392 SRT instead. Scat widebody is slower than a 1320 at the strip, faster around a road course.
Mopar Insiders thanks have to ask did you get that paint fixed on your car I know FCA can be assholes I know that first hand when the dealership blew my motor up and it took 9 months to get my car back

Where I live only black people own Dodge Challengers, I dunno seems like a "black thing".
From observation, black people 90% of the time choose a charger over a Challenger..
There are more than black people buying these cars
