- It"s time to celebrate the MOPAR or No CAR in a big way! Meet the 50th Anniversary Edition Scat Pack Widebody Challenger. Under the FIRST TIME ever SHAKER hood on a Widebody is the 6.4L V8 that pumps out 485HP & mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Gregg Sinini it’s a joke only a dodge owner would understand. Where I live people will literally drive without their headlights on at night (Chargers/Challengers). The DRL’s and Fog lights can compensate being how bright they are.

Not a huge fan of the Gold Rush color but the Frostbite blue and Sinamon Stick orange look amazing! I love the painted shaker scoop, it makes me want to wrap my hood matte black and paint my hood scoop to match the color of my car lol

7 colors at 70 each = 490 then can put that on 4 trim levels = 1960
Maybe should of made 10 more Gold Rush color ( 5 extra in scat pack & 5 extra in Widebody ) to make 1970 🤪
Dodge keeps on taking this very good but old as Dirt chassis and injecting it with more and more goodness. If you don’t think this Beast is Cool as Hell, you better check ur pulse.

ive been waiting on a widebody shaker.. problem is.. i do not like the silver wheels. might trade my shaker in for this one. the production numbers for this car is 1960, has to have some easter egg significance. Can anyone figure this out? what can the 1960 number be a hint to?

Those plastic bulges really ruin the clean lines of the challenger.
I just bought a 392 recently and went with the classic instead of widebody.
If dodge wants to make the vehicle wider, that's cool but they need to redesign the body panels instead of slapping on cheap looking bulges.

Diksaca Yehovah It an automatic. Not driving it in the winter here in New Hampshire. Plus it has the 275 summer only Tires option on it. It my 50th birthday present since I turn 50 in April about same time car will arrive.

Love the “shaker” hood. If I could choose a challenger it would be this or the demon
sanic the hedgehog demon is roughly $60k more than this car.....if you can get one.....demon was only made in 2018 and there were only 3k made. Replacement for the demon is the hellcat redeye

Unless you wanna dragrace id suggest the shakers over a hellcat or demon, 707+ hp sounds amazing on paper but will grate on your nerves when you cant use it

As typical with all these cars, people will overpay for this thing. Me I am ols school. Why spend 80 grand on this when I can get a real one from 1970 fully restored and authentic for less.

Im not a big fan of the shaker being there should've had the hellcat hood on it . The rest of the car is amazing. I wish they offer this gold color on the Chargers 392-Hellcat, Challenger 392-Redeye and Dodge Durango SRT & (Hellcat) .
I ordered a 2016 speed Scat Shaker, love the 6 spd. Bought a Demon love it too. Neither gets driven a lot because I drive a construction truck all week but every once in a while I think about selling the Scat but then I hop in it and take it for a run, then I get reminded how much fun it is. Definitely not for sale! Nothing like a manual. Great videos.

Chrysler is a nightmare to deal with when things go wrong and because it’s a Chrysler things go wrong. Build quality is crap. Anyone wanna buy my 2014 ram 3500 voted the most undependable vehicle how many years running now. Sure it doesn’t eat front tires like I complained about from the start and the steering doesn’t feel loose after I got a recall 5 years later to fix it. Chrysler is just a nightmare.
Still seeing a lot of these on dealership lots. Doesn't look like it was quite as popular to buyers as Dodge had hoped, but I'm glad they've added the Shaker package to be included in the Scat Pack widebody for '21. I know the pandemic hasn't done dealerships any favors, but they're still selling the standard Challenger trims just fine.

It’s really hard to imagine a refreshed body style for the challenger.. it’s such a perfect design. The LED taillights and headlight with a refreshed interior was perfect is 2015. I don’t know how they can improve on that without just changing hood options and wide body options

I watched a comparison of the shaker versus non shaker R/T Scat Pack Wide Body, and the shaker car had higher air intake temps than the hood with the heat vents and the center intake scoop. If you drive in the heat a lot, the shaker might not be the best choice. Now, if some enterprising aftermarket group put out a hood with the shaker and the heat vents, that might be the best of both.
Do you guys think it would be a smart to trade in my non widebody 2017 challenger hellcat for one of these? Or stick with the power?

That hood scoop or shaker scoop, although functional is actually unnecessary as it does not help in increasing HP like the old carburetor engines, thus rendering this shaker scoop on this modern challenger purely cosmetic

I saw this car at the L A Auto Show in November and I immediately, while standing next to this car, called my dealer Dave Smith in Idaho to order one for me. I left a voicemail and he called me back and took my down payment. Guess what? Even Dave Smith couldn't get one ! Somehow the 70
in this color scheme were already spoken for. Dodge, this is a mistake, limiting this beautiful car to people with privilege.
Do what GM did with their 50th Anniversary Camaro..........whoever wanted one could order one. And I did, with every option but sunroof
because I like the reverse Mohawk roof. I remember checking off the options on this Goldrush Challenger and debating if I should order a sunroof. An exercise in futility.
Dave Semrau I had a hard time of getting one but pulled it off. I new the date they were going on preorder in December so was waiting. It my 50th birthday in April so really wanted a 50th anniversary trim Challenger. I couldn’t get one going to my 3 local dealer that morning because only the biggest dealer in country had the option to get one. So went online searching big dodge dealer in New England where I live. Herb Chambers in Massachusetts came up. I email them and told him what I was trying to do . He said he order a Go Mango Scat Pack 50th anniversary trim automatic loaded that morning for his showroom. Nobody claim it yet and I could have it at MSRP. So I said ok and gave him deposit on my credit card.
You might be able to get one in couple month when they arrive because some of them are order from dealership for there showrooms. So keep your eyes open.

I have to agree with you Joe. The updated iteration of yesteryear's Challenger is the best, beating out both the Mustang and Camaro. But she is a Heavy Baby. But when all is said and done, it's not always how fast you get from Point A to Point B, it's how you look and feel doing it. Save the Wave.🙋🏼♂️
