WoW! this is the quintessential French life. You had me drooling with envy for crusty bread and camembert. Who needs a chateau when you live in such a charming hamlet😘!
Right!? We thought about doing the Chateau thing...renovating some sort of monster just to have to look after it...ha! We're having so much fun just hanging out and enjoying life to go down that thorny path...Simple and enjoyable. We're having so much fun. Thanks for following along.
@@FrenchStoneHouseLife Good for you, I think these people buying chateaus are crazy... who would want to live in those freezing money pits? I much prefer a nice cozy cottage and some outdoor space just right for human sized habitation and yours is just right! 😉 Have lived in France, Italy and now Mexico... Ohhh my, but I do so miss French cheeses and Italian salumi... Mexican cheeses are basically tasteless because there is no winter, they're mostly fresh cheeses because there really is no cold weather to deal with, so they've never had to preserve food for the winter, which means no historical need for sausages other than chorizo or any charcuterie or aged cheeses at all. 😢
So reminds me of holidays in Brittany 😊 Went to a fundraiser for the local fire station. Had the best cider I've ever tasted. Camembert - yum! That vide greniers was lovely, a proper local one. There is nothing better than locally made bread. Monsieur making the baskets was so talented 😊
I hope the peaches tasted as good as they smelt and looked.Despite the size, I'm impressed that you resisted buying more. Then again if the taste is great ... hopefully there's more there next week!
They have them a few times a year throughout France, no tax levied on anything sold on those occasions (though I think they keep an eye out for rogue traders without permits trying to sell stuff)
Don't learn French from the stands signs ! On the pastry one the sign says "CB accepter" which means "Debit (or Credit) Card accepted" but should be written "CB acceptée". 🙂
Appreciate your channel. Some honest feedback: -Sound: get some microphones. You often are inaudible and/or do not speak loudly or clearly enough to be understood. -Video: -get a better camera setup, one with a gimbal so you aren't jumping around all the time. -when filming, move slower, and move closer, giving the audience time to see what you are filming. You often go so fast we hardly have a chance to see anything. -Other: talk more about what you are showing us. For example, in this video you were buying pastries but there was no clear film of what you were buying and no explanation of what you were buying, for example. Then you set down to eat and you skipped right over that (how did they taste? good? bad? descriptions?). How was the PEACH?? All that build up and then nothing. There were also so many things being sold in the market that we only saw quickly from 10 ft away: no closeups of the items or their signage, and no narration. What's the point of that? It's really just frustrating to watch. Give the viewer a real POV experience. Cheers.
Wow...thanks for the feedback. We're really new to this vlogging stuff and likely get better with time...or not. Ha! Thanks again...and thanks for watching.

What a lovely way to spend the day. The market looks fun. The breads and food, very yummy looking. I think you need a sharper knife!
