Great video! You reminded me of why I've become such a fan of Stephanie. During the horrible Covid shutdown, Stephanie was a hopeful light for a lot of us. Thanks for sharing!
I’ll be in France for the next 9 days. Let me know if you would like to go Brocante-ing. I’ll be at La Lande the 18th - 23rd. I remember you saying you live close by.
The RUclips algorithm brought up your video on my feed. I follow Chateau Diaries. Thank you for sharing your Patron Days experience. I love your little place and am now following your channel also ❤ from. Indianapolis IN, U.S . Great job on the kitchen!!
I just find your approach so relatable in that you are making a beautiful, smart, rustic maison without lavish means,, simply good taste. That morning mist was a joy to contemplate. Hope France keeps on treating you well🌹🌺🌼
Love Chateau Diary as well 😊 So glad you had a fun Patreon day. The kitchen looks lovely as did that atmospheric misty day. Your garden looks great, so green and verdant 😊
Such a beautiful, heartfelt tribute to Chateau Diaries and Stephanie. Thank you for sharing. Good luck with all your endeavours …..you have a new subscriber.
Bonjour bonsoir hello from New Zealand Such a pleasant surprise your video popped up I too am a patreon of Chateau Diaries you uplifted my day with your visit to Patreon day I long to be there someday I just adore Lalande 💖The new shelving in the kitchen looks amazing I showed my husband Look this is what I want off to the diy store😀👏I’m looking forward to catching up on your videos I’ve liked and subscribed your stone farmhouse is wonderful enchante💖💖😍😍👌I also shared your video to my fellow Lalande friends 🌟
It's lovely to see you're making progress with your home, the kitchen looks lovely, fresh and clean and the shelves are a great addition. I also watch Stephanie every day, Chateau LaLande is amazing and the people who inhabit it are very special, glad you had a great day at their Patreon day and got to meet so many of the 'stars' of LaLande too. xxx
You done a nice job on the walls it looks very rustic in keeping with the house and with the art it looks gorgeous. Yes, I’ve followed Chateau diaries with Stephanie from the very beginning. Also follow the “ Pethericks” Billy Petherick and Michael Petherick on “Doing it Ourselves” and a few other You tubers in France.
I too am a CDL patron and fan! Looking forward to my fall travels thru France and a visit to LaLande ,too! Your kitchen and well your whole property is lovely! Cheers from Albuquerque New Mexico!
As you can imagine, people traveled from all over the world to come see them as part of their vacation. It was very fun to see in person. TCD Live - in 3D. :)
I have stayed as a volunteer at Lalande a couple of times and can add that Stephanie, Philip, Amaury, Nati and Kirsty and Dan, Marie and everyone are such lovely people. Stephanie is such a special welcoming and hospitable person. She is also so talented as a story teller and presenter. I don’t live very far away but have some family illness that meant I couldn’t attend patreon day. I would love to see how the garden has progressed. I’m glad you had such a special day.
What a lovely way to spend a day, in the countryside of France. A beautiful Chateau, it must be amazing inside. Your kitchen is very cute. I like the backsplash and the shelves, perfect. Nicely done.
The amount of work they've done and are continue to do is incredible. We have just a tiny little stonehouse and the list of to- do's is growing faster than we can tick off.
I also watch TCD and love that your photos and experience confirm the validity of Steph’s vlogs. Great job on the pics and recap. Question, what is the value benefit of being a Patreon, I’ve never supported a vlog before and just wondered why you do and maybe figure out why I’m not 😊
I think for most people it's an extra video or two per week And for some, its to come to patreon days. Or it just could be a way of saying thank you. thanks for watching our little video channel... :)
Your kitchen is looking lovely. What an amazing opportunity to visit Lalande and meet the incredible people living and working in the chateau & gardens. I have followed Stephanie since the awful lockdown. ❤
Thank you! We are starting to feel a bit of a transformation for sure. Lalande was a total privilege. They all were just as lovely as they seem. We still can’t believe how lucky we are. Thanks for watching!
It was fun watching this. Because I follow Chateau Diaries, I could fit these stills into their latest videos. Maybe you can invite Stephanie to see your house.
Love your videos! They are really relatable and informative. I am wondering, how long do you stay in France when you come? Have you thought of making a video on staying in France, if you are able to do this from the US or Canada? I would be interested to know more! Thanks again!
We just stay 90 out of 180 days which is allowed without a visa. We're not sure we will stay permanently. The idea is to see if we really like it and then maybe consider fully moving. For now, it's just an adventure exploring and experiencing a different culture. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing your patreon day at La Lande. It looked truly special and a very memorable day. Your narration and kind words are very calming and soothing.
How great is it that you only live an hour or so away from Lalande, making it possible to visit on Patron days! I too am a fellow Patron of Lalande from ‘down under’ New Zealand and have had so much enjoyment from TCD from the beginning. At the moment I’m rewatching the older videos again whilst lazing around nursing a bad head cold - such a perfect excuse!! IMO Stephanie must be one of THE most conscientious vloggers to her Patrons as well as her subscribers. I think the detractors don’t take into account that her editing and downloading seems to mostly be done at night and into the early and sometimes late hours of the morning. I really like your new kitchen shelving and look forward to seeing more of your little stone house. I’m also very happy to like and subscribe to watch more of your videos.🙂
😅her footage is often very choppy and old things inserted and definitely not daily...thete is no need to edit at night. Philip does a lot of the editing too. Stephanie has to travel half the year as she is UK resident and for tax purposes has to do this. Making managing projects very difficult. No wonder isabel was furious. We see small clips of life. No other chateau owners have a florist cook dishwasher endless volunteers and they manage to Renovate too...just saying
She really is a hard worker. The amount of time it takes to do what she does is hard to imagine. And it's not just her. All of the Lalanders are incredibly hard workers. She's basically working all the time to not only create fun videos, she's supporting everyone that's part of the effort. Pretty incredible. Our visit was very fun and enlightening.
Anyone who says Chateau de La Lande is beautiful clearly has not visited France and its many astounding chateaux. La Lalande is falling apart despite its owner receiving 40k a month in patreon funds. So many chateaux have been restored beautifully with far smaller funds. And yet people keep sending money. The saying 'a fool and his money' springs to mind.
It's hard to fault them. There has to be some rules as when you have that many followers; there are a lot of bad actors to contend with... We were happy to oblige. They were so kind and generous with their time and hospitality.
This probably makes me the outlier, but I find the Chateau Diaries to be completely unwatchable. Everyone has their own taste, and I'm not going to bash Ms Jarvis as brutally like the thousands of detractors that despise her. But I'm sort of at a loss to understand how people send her cash, knowing just how much money she's raking in by making videos of herself sleeping until noon like a spoiled teenager. I'll just say that I'd watch your French Stonehouse channel over TCD any day of the week.
No loss really on their part, lots and lots of people watch Stephanie and love her and know how much work she put into her chateau before RUclips. So maybe do some research before accusing someone of sleeping until noon every day.
She sleeps late sometimes because she travels or works late, she edits the vlogs of a night & sometimes her & Phillip are working on a project late into the night. Why say you are not going to bash her then you do 🤷🏻♀️. I do love people like you that judge people after seeing just a snippet of their lives 🤔.
I think she has a very easy ife everyone else seems to rally around her trying to do their bit to please Let's not forget, Philip when eas the last time he done a real day's work I forgot he has the hardest job of setting table's he must be worn out
@@susanakurdi3563 typical response, not everybody has to dig ditches for a living. What goes on behind the scenes is what’s important. I watched Philip wallpaper a toilet with special wallpaper they’d had printed from one of Stephanie’s father’s prints. A small room with many different angles, it was difficult to watch honestly. But he did a brilliant job, it was featured on British tv. Also he has wallpapered other rooms. Maybe you don’t consider that type of work difficult but I’ve wallpapered and it’s hard work. So that’s just one aspect. I think Philip is invaluable in many areas, he and Amaury and an architect I think met to work out the best way to do the grand salon I think, the room where they have to take down the ceiling and upstairs bedrooms. So maybe on the surface it appears idyllic underneath it’s about keeping the chateau up and functioning and paying for itself. You should try it, you seem on top of this type of thing.

That's only an hour away - La Jarvis prefers further away locations for her well-deserved rest between the exhausting guest dinners.
Maybe... We sure enjoyed everyone we met. Bernice didn't even growl at Lancealot. HaHA!
When you asked Alexis to convert lbs. She answered on my Alexis. lol Lovely work on the kitchen.
