- 042 This week we're in Libourne and Rauzan doing some serious shopping. If you're near Libourne and love an open market this market is a must! Also, if you love brocante shopping, the Villages Antiquities Brocante in Rauzan is a must see. This is what Michael would call an ALL DAY Brocante. It is huge! It will take you all day to really go through all of the treasures in this shop.
Thank you again for watching,
Michael and April
Description of Us:
We are a couple of American Francophiles who have come to truly appreciate so many things about French culture. We love the food, wine, art, and history of France, but especially the people we have met along the way. Join us as we make our dream of living in France a reality. Follow us as we explore the French living and a new life there with our beloved dog, Bernice. We enjoy learning about stone house renovation, wine, cooking, brocante shopping, and the French community we are now a part of.
So many lovely unique pieces, I could drool for hours browsing around...
It is the largest brocante we've even seen!
BONJOUR what a great video! Early ,,, 3:30 am in LA! THOROUGHLY ENJOYED!!!!
Ha! yeah, sometimes we get it done at odd times. Early in the morning in France..... :)
What a treat that was, thank you. I kept clicking and gawking, so many little gems to behold. A joy to be trekking with you 🍊🍍🍎
Glad you enjoyed it. There were so many nice pieces. :) It was such a great brocante!
Always pleasant and interesting.
thanks!
great vlog thank you. Brocante was amazing😊
Thanks! We were worried it was too long. As in too much video just shopping, showing the inside the the brocante...
I would have a hard time not spending too much money in that brocante! Fabulous place!
It's the biggest brocante we've seen!
You made me dizzy! Slow down on your panning around! 😊
Nice pictures, bargain.
You get a lot of those places in the UK, lots of antique dealers using a big place together.
Apologies. We are still new to this vlogging stuff apparently...haha!.. We will get better. Hopefully.
Lovely brochante! A little slower on the camera panning.....a little dizzy! Great finds on your art! i probably would have left there with those two light colored pine armoires and maybe a chandelier as well. The silver cutlery looked divine and that large transferware set by Mason, charming! You were very well controlled! Cheers!
I (Michael) do a terrible job filming...lol. I'm getting better, just need to slow my brain down. Thank for hanging in there... :)
Good choices in the paintings... I like all of them! Ahh... my Mexican kingdom for some French brocantes and a wonderful fromagerie! Sigh.....
HaHA! thanks!
Another interesting vlog, thanks. I would like to know about the painting of your house that you use in the intro. Is it a watercolor? Who made it? I think it's lovely! I would take those small paintings out of the modern frames, use fabric mats, and find thinner frames in a neutral color, like the old gold frame on the tea set painting.
The intro graphic is just a photo put through one of those online filters. Nothing special but it sure turned out nice. Fabric mats, good idea. We already painted and hung them...to be seen in the next video... :) Thanks!
I know you guys have mentioned trying to stabilize the vids, just wondering if you have tried using a gimble or some kind of stabilizer. I appreciate you sharing your life with us and by no means am i trying to be rude. Im hooked already ☺ thank you

@@FrenchStoneHouseLife lol, 100% understand, Filming like that is definitely not as easy as one might think.
You've probably looked up the word by now, but qu in French is pronounced as a hard 'c', so you'd pronounce that word as can-cay-er-ee 👍
can-cay-er-ee from Quincaillerie...haha! Yep makes sense...it's french. ...forget half the letters in the word... HA!
Those butcher blocks were amazing, but I can't imagine using them for anything other than a butcher block at this point. Certainly not a writing desk or dining table - all the dishes would be in 1 person's lap!
Yes they were... :)
Love 💕 the Brochante videos, but a little too fast moving. Makes me nauseous. 🤢
