- 032 This week we're feeling like we're really starting to enjoy being here in Central France. As such, we're headed to the Venice of the Alps, Annecy, France.
Thanks for watching,
Michael and April
Description of Us:
We are a couple of American Francophiles who have come to truly appreciate so many things about French culture. We love the food, wine, art, and history of France, but especially the people we have met along the way. Join us as we make our dream of living in France a reality. Follow us as we explore the French living and a new life there with our beloved dog, Bernice. We enjoy learning about stone house renovation, wine, cooking, brocante shopping, and the French community we are now a part of.
Love Annecy thought about moving there
Us too! Until we bought this one... :)
Great video! I've never been to this particular town, so I appreciate getting to see it through you. What an amazing place, it will be added to my list of future places to visit the next time I'm in France. Au revoir!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Hi,love the videos, very seductive.Could you say something about dealing with the difficulties arising from the Scheveningen Agreement limiting the time you can stay in France and other European countries.Perhaps it doesn’t apply to American nationals. Thanks Philip
We haven't had to apply for a visa. We are just doing the 90 out of the last 180 days, no visa required. ...for now.
Hi love your story so much could you please make your videos longer....please please
We will try. :)
It's A-nnecy, just with the french A sound. When there is a double consonant, you'll never have the nasal sound [an].
Fun to watch it through your eyes, I spent my teenage years there. I actually never saw the lake this agitated ! I feel sorry for you.😅
Yes Giraudet is a famous name, regarding quenelles.
Thank you
Thanks. Yeah, we were hoping to enjoy a boat ride or at least some time hanging out at eh lake on the grass. Oh well, next time.!
How long was the drive? You're in the Limoges area, right? Also if this is June, wonder when (if??) it warms up enough to swim.
I was about a five hour drive. We stopped in Beaujolais (half way) and did some wine tasting ;) Made for a nice rest stop.
What a pretty little town Annecy is and enjoyed your tour including the market but wish you'd used more English words to describe what you were seeing at the market as my French isn't good.
Ha, yeah my french isn't that good. Glad I fooled someone. :) I will try and switch back and forth next time.
great video :) it's actually pronunced ah-n-cee. the A at the beginning of the word is more like the a in apple
Good to know, Thanks!
Oh my! The food looked so delicious, it must of smelled so wonderful in that Cafe! The little town is so adorable, like all the scenic ones from all the travel channels. How fun it must be to live in a quaint little village.
Thanks so much, it is a fun adventure!
We enjoyed your trip, this will on our next visit to France.
It's a very nice city. You should definitely put it on your list of cities to visit.
The Annecy festival will now be on our list to visit someday. Only a drive of 4-5 hours away. And such a beautiful surroundings. We also love the fresh markets!
It's a beautiful town with or without the festival. If you go for the festival, make sure you make reservations for viewings. Otherwise the lines are very long.
omg!gorgeous . take it aesy~ :)
Thank you! Cheers!
What a beautiful town. The weather was wild! You could see the current the little ducks were swimming against 😊
Pike dumplings...... what were they like? I've always thought pike would taste quite bland, and the sauce liven it up. Beautiful light dumplings, though!
Raclette, tarteflette, saucisson, yum 😋
It was all very good. The dumpling were very mild and the sauce was creamy with crawfish that really went well with the pike.
How nice to share this lovely lunch with you albeit virtual😘
It was fun! Thanks for coming along. :)

thank you
