Another one for the Unboxing RC Chan So now u need a Hot Shot II Keeeeeeeeeeep it I remember i had a Hot Shot, but when the Super Shot got released i sold it fast and got the Super Shot.
I wouldn't sell it or give it away to anybody.keep it Gavin you know how special this car is. It's unobtainable. Irreplaceable. Keep it mate because after you give it away you will be kicking yourself.💪
Mate... that's got to be a keeper👍 out of the Hotshot range i have a Hotshot, Boomerang and Super Sabre and will eventually get a Super Shot. It looks absolutely mint and awesome in the gold scheme too👍👍
Hey mate I picked one up here in NZ about 2 months ago it is original mint condition with the technitune motor and original box and manual very nice car originals in mint condition are pretty rear.
Nice buggy. This is the peak performance of the HotShot family, loaded with 24 ball bearings, Technipower motor, gold plated wheels and CVA's on all 4 corners. IMO the Supershot and HotShot 2 have the meanest or most aggressive looks of these cars. I think the SuperShot is one of the top 10 cars from Tamiya. To my understanding a SuperShot won the Norwegian national championship 1/10 off road back in 1986.
That is a stunner if I was you I would keep it. I am in the market for a supershot at the moment and have a wanted add all over the media. I just hope I can get one within my budget.
Having a Hotshot II it was the last Tamiya for me. Lot’s of issues. Limited suspension travel up front, front ball studs in the a-arms wore quickly, suspension mounts molded into gearboxes cracked quickly, and terrible bump steer. It quickly became a shelf queen.
Surely she's a keeper? Stunning example and with such a short production run too. I'd be interested to learn why they replaced it with the Hotshot 2 in '87
Perhaps because of costs. A HotShot 2 was available for NOK 1,700 while a SuperShot would cost more than NOK 2,700. This is probably because of all the Hop-Ups in the kit was well as many parts that were manufactured and used for this car only. To compare, the newly released Kyosho Optima Mid kit incl. a Le Mans 240 motor and Rotary speedo was available for approx. NOK 2,500.
Wow! Beautiful specimen in terrific condition. You could only go one better than that by getting a NIB kit (prohibitively expensive). I guess it comes with the original MSC? Retaining the original MSC is great for retaining that original period acceleration sound, but hazardous of course when the nicad power in the BEC runs out and the car starts to take on a life of its own!
Great looking car, used to have a boomerang and bought the supershot gold wheels and spiked tyres as well as the technigold motor and 8.4volt battery. But still would of loved a super shot!
I have a new re release super shot that I have not built yet but would love to know the tamiya color code for the body (gold (or whatever it is). I also have the re release of the avante 2011 and only opened the box. It’s so pretty not sure if I even want to build it. The packaging is amazing.
Puts a tear in my eyes i wish i never sold mine, when i got it i actually painted mine yellow I do have a re-re NIB. If that was me i would keep it for sure. The only reason i sold my original because i was young and stupid.
Keep it..or you will be sorry...ask wife first tho, lol.. I got 2 NIB re-re supershots, i might do one in gold or yellow, cant tell, other in original silver, the hotshot family like the grasshopper and hornet are legendary ,the nemesis of others..nice find!
@@RCKickschannel I know your videos are mostly about Tamiya models & the Spirit FF is a Nichimo but it’s something I used to have as a youngster & don’t see many of them around. Love your channel btw.
I don't think they used a big enough box to send it. It's not even up for debate, keep it, the only reason you would get rid of it is if you you are going to give it to me.
Thumbs up changed to thumbs down when the shitty music was playing over the driving shot at the end :( I owned one of these as a kid and shocked to hear it only sold for a year.
Stunning Gavin.. Get it on the shelf!!!!!

I don't know, I was thinking the same thing.

Keep it and get rid of the Falcon!

You are not a true tamiya fan if you do not have a super hotshot/supershot. One of, if not the meanest looking buggies ever. 😂
Like rocking horse poo? Is that a saying?
if it wasnt it is now.
haha its a bloody common saying here in Australia! If not anywhere else. Except its "as rare as rocking horse shit" :)
Race it
If it is too uncomfortable to sit on, then pass it on to me ;-)
Sure happy to send it over for free if you cover postage? Shipping is £430 😉
@@RCKickschannel Cheap as chips :-) Nah, I'll stick to restoring my old Falcon plus a few fully 3D printed RC cars im working on atm.
