hey besties! I'm planning to film a lil q&a soon so if you have any questions feel free to leave them here ☺🐝
What are your top 3 favorite movies?
Out of all the movies you’ve seen what are some of your favorite characters?
What made you want to start doing first time reactions to movies?
Is there any movie that you really dislike
I actually have 3 questions. Are you a Friends fan, which fictional characters do you relate to the most and do you know what your personality type is (MBTI)?
I "love" the scene, when Ralph wrecks Vanellopes car. Just the amount of sadness in her voice, you can really hear how betrayed she feels. Truly amazing work from the VA.
it was so brutal
I swear can y'all stop simping
Best scene is still when Ralph is falling from the sky at the end
@@patrick_thewisekid6306 Your comment smells like simping
Me too. It's even shot like a censored scene to add to the emotion
12:18
Fun fact: As we saw later in the film, those bugs transform into anything that they eat immediately. So the reason that she is screaming is that the bug's head turned into her boyfriend's head.
Imagine seeing a 50 ft cockroach with the face of your loved ones on it.
Oh no...
Even though I've seen this movie a hundred times, I've never even thought about that.
OH MY
Oh. Oh my god. Jesus Christ. And she had to kill him. He was probably still aware like King Candy was. Oh fuck that’s awful
Fuuuuck, I never thought about that
Vanellope's glitch is not cheating because it's used as an ability.
You can see that when the player (in the final scene) presses the horn button and a skill cube disappears at the top of the screen.
I'm sorry xd I love this movie and I've seen it a thousand times
As a big guy who grew up with all these games as a kid, all the classic arcade love gave me such feels. Plus, when Ralph destroys her racer to “protect” her, her reaction…truly broke me 😭
@Regina Takáts yeah the arcades of the 80’s & 90’s represented nerd counterculture, at least in California where I grew up.
to me it´s the thought of how much ralph hates himself that moment, shattering her dream to protect her....
something i realized when i rewatched this movie is that, sinse those bugs become what they eat, when she was shooting that giant bug that ate her husband she was aware that she was pratically shooting him at the same time. It actually made it even more tragic.
Makes me wonder if her Husband had sentience like Candy/Turbo did at the end- if so, that makes it all the more depressing.
22:47 "King Candy Super Bad Daddy"
A bunch of words I wouldn't want to hear again.
i promise you won't
I literally came back this video to watch this sequence on Loop
The scene where Ralph literally wrecks Vanellope's car is honestly very hard to watch, & that's what it's all about:
The dark & brooding environment, even in a candy themed arcade game!
And the crying & the screaming on Vanellope's face & the fear on Ralph felt of losing one true friend, but worst of all *a child's trust,* it gives us so much disturbance.😥
This movie is brilliant!
Don’t worry, Turbo’s fake-heartfelt speech about why Vanellope can’t race fooled me the first time I watched this movie. Definitely a huge factor in him being my favorite Disney Villain (the other huge factor being his big twist of course). Turbo-Tastic! 👍
Not only that, he wasn't lying! He was using what one person called "Facts, logic, and half-truths" (Rockotar). What he said, could have happened.
I remember meeting Alan Tudyk (King Candy) years ago. I asked him if he could say, “Have some Candy!” and he put a lot of passion in saying it which made it all the more brilliant
" I'm bad and that's good, I will never be good and that's not bad, there's no one I'd rather be than me"
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I just found the idea of this movie so creative! The movie is just nonstop fun, with surprisingly dark and tearjerker moments. Both videogame and non vudeogame fans are bound to love it!
To be fair, Ralph was a good guy who just either was forced to do evil deeds as part of his job, or because he was being manipulated. The cybug disaster would have been entirely avoided if Jean and the others had treated Ralph nicely, instead of transposing his punch-clock villain actions to his everyday personality. To me, they are to blame for everything that happened, not Ralph.
That button sequence King Candy does to access the game code is what's called the Contra/Konami Code.
If you do that specific order, you get 30 lives for your character at the start of the game.
Alternatively if you hit select at the end, you can also do it for player 2.
This was a great movie, and it actually has one of my favourite disney plot twists. Also very sweet (no pun intended) and wholesome! Your editing in this one was awesome and hilarious, as was your commentary! Keep up the great videos and also well done on your graduation!
thank you so much!
21:06 - I'm gonna feel so betrayed if King Candy is lying to me
Me - Oh Soph, you never cease to amaze us 🤣😍🥰
Also 22:48 and 27:16 were just incredible lol 🤣🤣
“I knew that King Candy, super bad daddy.”
Interesting. A poet that didn’t know it AND a Freudian slip in one!
Do Monsters Inc!
When I first watched this movie, I thought Vanelopie was a beta character that programmer didn't implement into the game, but her data is still somewhere in the files.
Yeah, it was kind of in the plot
That's kind of what she was.
@@nisarojas2869 no it wasn't
bruh can't enjoy a movie without looking too much into it. You're not that fun to watch with all of this negativity.
I grew up long before personal computers and video game arcades. That being said, "Wreck It Ralph" has interesting characters, a great story, and good "villains." The "Fix-It-Felix" Nicelanders don't realize that Ralph is a necessary foil to "good guy" Felix. The Bad-Anon group has a worthy mantra that comes back to define the characters and relationships. These were the "Good Days of Disney" (2012), before The Message took over. (sigh.:(
As a long-time video gamer, it was neat to see some pieces of "video game-isms" incorporated into Wreck It Ralph. Like the abandoned mini-game to build the car, or the hidden doorway in the candy mountain that the developers textured over but is still there if you know where to find it (which Vanelope uses to make her home). Those were nice little touches that were a creative nod to video game fans.
While the mechanics of Sugar Rush are never laid out, I like to think Vanellope's glitch is not cheating; my guess is that each racer has a special/super ability to use in the race.
I guess Candlehead has a speed boost with a stunning AOE behind her.
@@ls190v2 Slowing creep. Wax puddles.
Calhoun: "They'll consume Sugar Rush"
Sophie: "And die of diabetes"
Me: Good one! :)
I love the references to a video games in this movie, especially the one written with graffiti in the subway that says "Aerith lives". Who knows which game that comes from? One of my favorite games of my childhood
Supposedly Nomura and Kitase asked for that to be put in the movie.
Okay, clearly, Wreck it Ralph is not only one of my favorite Disney, but also one of my favorite childhood movies. Ralph and Vanellope are funny and endearing, the couple Felix and Calhoun, ditto and are perfectly established in the story, and the plot twist on Turbo is brilliantly successful that we do not suspect for a second of the deception. The action is thrilling, the universe is colorful (well we spend a majority on Sugar Rush, but I love the pace so ok), the concept of video games is very nice, and the morale of the film is both mature and beautiful to watch. In short, it is a very successful film on many points that I like very much 💕 ... I could not say the same about its sequel. Not a catastrophic movie either, but it's the sequel to Ralph and... A piece of advice to those who haven't seen it, if you care about Ralph and Vanellope, don't look.
My favorite modern animated movie, watched it 3 times in one week during my time in college. Haven't watched your reaction yet, but i really hope you enjoyed it.
I love Felix, he was always trying to be kind to Ralph even though he couldn't get anyone else to be. He's such a genuinely kind character and his almost sibling-like dynamic with Ralph is so wholesome.
Vanellope is my favorite character ❤️😄🍬🍫Also when Ralph was covered in green frosting and candy , he was The Candy Hulk 😄
Reaction suggestions
1. The Incredibles franchise
2. Monsters vs Aliens
The whole, "Im bad and that's good, I'll never be good and that's not bad", isn't saying his life is shitty and he should get used to it. The meaning is that the paper he plays as a bad guy does not define him, who he is is just fine, he doesn't have to change.
Hey Sophie, long time no see, I haven’t seen many of your videos because I’m dealing with family problems. Wreck-it Ralph is one of my favorite 2010s Disney movies. Can you please watch Dreamworks The Bad Guys soon?
I love this movie! I’ve been looking forward to this reaction!
This movie made me cry when I first watched it 😥🥺 Its sad to see that no one in ralphs game can see he is feeling depressed and lonely not one person in his game was willing to help him until it was almost too late 🥺. This movie really shows what depression can make us do without thinking. When they say turbo they're referring to suicidal like thoughts. He is being pushed to the point where he doesn't care if finding a metal award could get him killed 🥺 im glad disney is making more movies addressing mental health and ending the stigmatizing of mental health
I don't recommend watching the sequel. It's not that bad, but still so disappointing.
Fair to say, and it's probably been mentioned in a previous comment, but Ralph is never a bad guy. He's the antagonist, which is partly defined as "an opposition to the protagonist" i beleive. And think about it, his game story is; he lives in a stump, when gets bulldozed into the dump so the Nicelanders can have a fancy apartment building. He gets angry at losing his home and getting shoved aside so he wrecks the building. Justified anger, yet he's the bad guy cause "destruction and rage is bad." And since we see these characters just do the job as they are programmed to, they are basically actors who have to perform their act for the players when humans are watching. But the label of being the "bad guy" stigmatizes him to where everyone fears/avoides/pushes him away simpley because he's the opposing force in the game and he's not the player character. He gives the game a purpose, but the title puts him at the bottom of the ladder in terms of who's liked within the game and outside of it
Wreck it Ralph will always be the absolute masterpiece of my childhood! Thank you so much for reacting to it!
Actually there is an anime called Re: Creators where a bunch of authors, comic artist, producers, game developers, etc have to deal with their creations coming to the real world aka "The Land of Gods"
Needless to say many of the creations are not happy their suffering was merely for a higher powers amusement and in the case of some of them this has deadly effect of a creation killing its creator.
I loved your commentary on the different aspects of the movie. You absolutely must watch the 2nd one.
One little detail I noticed was that Ralph knew everyone’s name which showed that he wanted to be anyone’s friend even though they didn’t want to.
**Woman physical assaults Ralph**
Sophie: I like her and her energy.
Okay then...
The over the top editing had me annoyed but her herself is what made me click off the vid
When Bison asked Ralph "You're not going turbo are you?" Street Fighter fans thought it was a reference to the game Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, but it was actually a foreshadowing for one of the plots of the movie
No one ever comments on the “he just glazed me” line.
Best. Pun. Ever.
I feel like this should’ve won Best Animated Feature instead of Brave. This is a great video game film. The video game references are very clever, the characters are very likable, and it has a lot of heart to it. Ralph is a bad guy in a video game, but is actually a nice guy outside of it. I also love the message about being yourself instead of someone else. I honestly wasn’t expecting this to be as good as it is.
Other video game films that I highly recommend is both the Sonic the Hedgehog movies. The films have been one of the few successes in Hollywood because it looked like something that was doomed to fail (which is something I'll talk about when you react to them in the future).
Welcome back to RUclips, Sophie! We're all happy that you're feeling better after what has been in a rough week for you last week.
Personally I believe that Brave was much better.
It is. Especially the ending
Some people remember Brave. EVERYBODY remembers Wreck It Ralph.
I didn’t even like brave that much
The Fix it Felix game didn't exist previously, but after the movie, they made it, and its now playable at the Disney arcade
Fun fact, y know the scene that shows.... Uhhhh..... Mrs cool commando lady's backstory where her husband gets eaten by a cybug. We learn that rhe bugs turb into what they eat, so she was killing the cybug while her husbands face was most likely being formed onto it
22:00 that moment always gets to me, how much ralph must be hating himself in that moment......
It's funny how I know ive seen this reaction before and just rewarched it and enjoy it all over again 😊😊
❤️🥹
The owner’s electric bill must be huge for keeping the arcade games on all the time.. you know not turning everything off of a night
2:27 "which game you want to be a part of" Sonic, Mario or Pokemon in Sonic's world I could just chill in Mario I could have could have power ups like the super star that could make me invincible, in Pokemon I could do the same thing as in Sonic's world but with my Pokemon
Would you do a education video and would you watch the movie called inside out 2015.
I would love to be in Sonic the hedgehog for sure that's the best game ever!!!
The music by Billie Eilish and Miley Cyrus in this video just make it more fantastic.
Loved it
I love to see this girl watching movies 😅👌
Turbo-tastic!
2:07 yeah just picture M.Bison & Ryu chilling at the bar talking crap about Zangief
😂😂
Love seeing that you posted best part of the day
That whole race scene got me addicted to this movie
I couldn't watch the scene where Ralph destroyed Vanelope's car. I had a huge fear of my stuff being ruined by others (bullying), so that hit too close to home.
THERE ARE LOTS OF VIDEO GAMES REFERENCES IN THIS MOVIE!
Everytime someone says they don't want to be the bad guy anymore, there's a freakout.
“You can’t have a cake and eat it!”
You can in Sugar Rush!
21:00 that's what's so good about the writing...he isn't lying. This could have happened!
This is gonna sound really weird, but I like how they designed Calhoun's bust because that is how game developers stereotypically design female video game characters. You know, s3xualized. And that sucks. So, I liked that Disney really payed attention to that detail as it is realistic. (Obviously, she isn't actually s3xualized in the movie because it's mainly for kids.)
Trying too much with the edits..this ain't for me
wreck it ralph!! message to feel different!!.. it's ok because thanks to our defects, we are unique! And if you love yourself like that, others will too with your flaws and virtues :)
...But she doesn't have a drivers license?
I don’t usually like picking favourites for things but this movie is definitely one of my favourites.
1:30.
I agree with u there, Sophie. The world revolves around Good and Bad people equally. Like Yin and Yang, it makes the world balanced. One without the other would lead to chaos....
THIS IS A GREAT MOVIE! ONE OF MY FAVORITES!
A character from videogame? Literaly when you play a videogame and have a character do stuff, you are that character. I loved Mass Effect.
Definitely love it including bowser dr eggman sonic vibes
“Somebody’s gotta die” well damn alright😭😂
"I'M TURBO!!!"
Me: WTF?! I LOVE THIS!!!!
Sonic and pac man!
I want to be master chief from Hallo.
22:49 Very SUS of you to say that
Pokemon, of course! xDD
Have you seen the Adams Family movies? If not, those are my suggestion. And I do mean the ones that were live-action. But if you want to, there is also an animated movie as well. ^^
I'll just make a list. I don't know what you have seen or what not, so it's all up to you. X3
Back to the Future -movies, Naked Gun -movies (they are more like parodies of these secret agent movies), Airplane (kind of parody of these airplane disaster -movies), Beetlejuice, Dark Shadows, Jurassic Park, Die Hard movies, Psycho (classic horror movie from the 60's, which at the time was very scary... not maybe so much in nowadays), Death Becomes Her, Crybaby, Ace Ventura movies, Pirates of the Caribbean -movies, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Interview With a Vampire, Dracula Dead and Lovin' It (parody of the Dracula movie), Sonic the Hedgehog -movies
11:05
A Hobo is an American term for a homeless person who is not trying to become housed and will only change locations when forced.
14:25
Fun fact; the Vader mask got its sound from a scuba mask. The SFX team just put a microphone inside a scuba mouthpiece.
19:30
That scene features the "Konami code." It's the oldest cheat-code. It gave the player 99 lives and unlimited continues. The act of reading the code of a game and forcing the game to work outside of its regular function is called "emulation."
I think the point of Wreck it Ralph is that people need to stop looking at what they don't have, and look around them what they do have. 30 years and he never tried to make friends with Fix it Felix or the nice landers or anyone else to that measure according to what he said during the Bad-anon meeting implying he didn't have any friends. Yet he made so many friends within what would of been a single day by coming out of his shell, and found almost everything he was missing. Despite the fact the story literally circled right back around, to him being thrown off the roof into a pile of mud.
"Now where would David be, without Goliath? Or Jonah, without the Whale? How interesting do you think Samson would be without Delilah?
"Getting the point? ...GOOD."
- The Magic Mirror on the Wall (Hans Conreid), *Disney's Greatest Villains*
Friggin love Felix and Sergeant Calhoun relationship.
If you read the comic, it’s the same story, but with any game properties. Like for an example, they replace Road blasters to “a game”
4:52 I love sonic 🦔🎮🌀
Wouldn't felix's hammer fix Venelope's Glitching? (Not that it matters).
Thank you. I have been saying that about all villains there very important for movies or games. it's what makes the stories so good. You can't have a hero without someone to raise up against.
You have to do reaction of red shoes please do it
It is really fun to watch and I loved that movie you have to do a reaction of that
I wouldn't call Penelope's glitch "cheating" (even if it kinda is). Think of it more as one of those power-ups that the player always gets to have in the game.
Your edit on Hero's Duty is legend.
There is also Laika stuff, and a small film called, "Yellowbird". "Rock Dog" is a charmer.
You are wreck-it ralph breaks the internet 2 after this edit the next video I'm just saying if you change.
Now she just needs to react to Ralph Breaks the Internet
I want to hang out with Sonic and his friends (but I don't know I'm fast enough to keep up with them)
Edit: the Sonic franchise is really interesting in my opinion, I'm a fan since four years ago to this point 😅
why don't u actually watch the movie, like how do you for a whole minute not watch the screen when they explain who turbo is in the beginning, like I understand looking away for a second, but missing an entire scene in a movie..... also, when you say something you don't need to look into the camera and talk for 20 seconds straight without looking at the screen.
This is one of my favorites movies! It's so good!
#SophieLents, you're so sweet. Thanks so much for uploading this awesome movie reaction. I love your content because it's so cool, and I really enjoy watching you react to different movies.
thank you
3:08 - 3:09 when you said the guy from Sonic I facepalmed but that's okay (you probably don't know Sonic games)
if i was in a videogame i would want to be in either animal crossing, spyro the dragon or zelda
It reminds me of Toy Story when everyone is gone, they all are alive. But as for who would I want to be? I have no idea who'd I'd like to be, because there was a lot of games back then, but if I can choose, I'd want to be Zelda.
Quick question: Do you plan to react to the sequel?
Amazing watch only recommendation is pretend this is the only wreck it Ralph movies please don't watch the sequel
