The reason behind the humans and animals is because the bad guys are stereotyped as bad guys so they are depicted as scary and dangerous animals
This is actually the movie adaptation for a children's book series and I've got to say, they did a great job

When I first saw Professor Marmalade climb outta the limo, I was just like "He's bad, isn't he?" I wasn't surprised when it revealed him to be the villain 😂

I liked this type of movie cuz of the visual symbolism, that shouldn't be overthought. By that I mean, they're animals cuz that's how the people see them, as feroscious animals. Or in the hamster's case, we see hamsters as cute and innocent whilst they can still be violent
Yea, it can be seen that way but the reason that they’re the only animals is because they didn’t want this to look like a Zootopia copycat (even tho this came first)
Speaking of Dreamworks you absolutely need to see Puss in Boots The Last Wish. It was absolutely amazing and definitely worth watching when you have the time.
Ah, people keep recommending it but editing it to avoid copyright is gonna be hell
@@SophieLents I would also highly recommend it, personally think it's the best animated movie of 2022 but yeah the copyright has been tough, I've seen other reactors use some sort of watermark or transparency filters to kinda bypass it so that might be the move if you do plan on it.

This is why I love this movie! The Bad Guys is the reason why I believe there's still good in this world. When I turned 16, my grandma helped me realize my dad wasn't the best parent and believe it or not, I hated him so much! He never calls, never asks, and he never worries. I don't even see him as a parent anymore. He's just a stranger now, but I can't deny that he's the reason why I'm on this Earth. At least I still have my mother, my grandmother, and my stepdad. And they help me out a lot!
A: this movie is so good, it's very much like megamind, it subverts your expectations and shows you the villains side of the story.
B: birthdays are a day you celebrate the people you love and spend time with them, just like Christmas except you get cake as well. On my list of favorite holidays I'd say top two are Christmas and birthdays

DreamWorks Animation has had an amazing 2022 with The Bad Guys and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, especially the latter where it was my favorite animated film of the year! Since they will also be coming out with a fourth Kung Fu Panda film in 2024, along with an inevitable Shrek 5, I say they’re going to have a bright future!

Every birthday after your 21st becomes redundant. The ones that follow are just a reminder that you're another year older and deeper in debt.
This film genuinely surprised me of how good it legitimately was. I was also pleased at it doing well at the box office, a nice showing of how original properties can still draw crowds.
Loved the stylistic animation too. A nice change of pace as well.
There’s potential for a franchise here, though there will be a Christmas special coming out this year.
PS Yeah, I do think there were subtle hints that Wolf and Diane had feelings for each other, especially at 14:19 and 18:13 as you pointed out.
And for the comparisons to Zootopia, while they may be I no the film ; the book series this film is based off of actually started in 2015, a year before Zootopia came out.

Sam Rockwell plays a good likeable bad guy. One of my favorite roles of his is C.P. Ellis in The Best of Enemies. He's another really bad guy who just needed a chance to be good. People need to react to THAT one!

i think the reason why there are only a few anthro animals in a world full of humans is, this is all a metaphor..... they are not animals but behave like animals and therefore they show us the animals and not the humans they actually are
I always celebrated my bdays. Nowadays, not as much. But in my house we celebrated bdays all month, not just the day or weekend of.

This is one of my fave movies! I love this movie
And I wanted to ask you to watch it. Honestly, at the trailer, I had big doubts about this film. A good idea of morale à la Megamind, but spoiled by too much gag. But after watching the film, I was pleasantly surprised.👍
The animation is fantastic, it highlights very well the action which is epic. The characters are fun and friendly, and I admit I was surprised 1 and 2 times. But the film isn't perfect either : Apart from our protagonists and the antagonist, the humans are quite stupid, some small scripting facilities, and if the moral, although the humor carries the film very well, sometimes it does a little too much.
But really, it's a good movie. Although with flaws, the film is very fun, making us have a good time.❤

It's also my favorite movie
I love my birthday, but our family has always made a point to make birthdays really special so that's part of it. If you don't have people to celebrate with, it wouldn't be very fun. But in my family, the birthday person gets to decide what we do all day, like what games to play together and such, and our parents always cook us whatever we want or take us out wherever we wanna eat (or same for them when it's their birthday.) So yeah, I love birthdays and it always makes me sad to hear others don't do anything fun or special for theirs

But you really need to watch "The Distinguished Gentleman" (1992) with Eddie Murphy in order to get more acquainted with how politics works (and though this movie depicted US politics, it's kinda the same all around the world).... You DO know that this is a make believe story right? So why does it have to "make sense" that some of the animals talk and act like humans and others do not or that the humans aren't just freaked out by those animals for them talking, but for their actions.??? It's Pretend.. as in not real.. as in anything is possible.. that's what Fiction means in a story.. so just go with it and quit trying to "explain" everything like it was supposed to be real and just enjoy the story and creation of the author's mind.. ;) You'll be a LOT happier..
