I still cry when Ralph recites the Villain Support group chant. Everytime. I relate to how people can view you as a villain in their story and how that can affect your perception of self. And when you have that one person that accepts you for you. It means the whole world.

People don't give animated Disney films their due as films they look at this just childs fare and don't look at how deep the messages and themes can be it's why I love them so much
That explains why I loved it so much to me. Ralph is more than relatable to me in that sense, though in my case it was being seen as cold-hearted and/or creepy and unworthy of existence, as opposed to apathetic but relaxed and kind-hearted like I actually am. I blame my inability to express emotion well. That, along with autism, et cetera.
So here’s a little fun fact
During the creation of the villain group therapy scene, the animation team got a call from Nintendo after they showed them the test footage to which Nintendo responded negatively and sent a bunch of pictured examples of how Bowser would actually hold and drink his coffee.
On a funnier note, for the same scene, the animation team was rang up by Nintendo who asked for Bowser to be the tallest person in the room since he is a very large individual. The animation team agreed because they thought it made sense. A few hours later, Sega called in and requested that Dr Eggman be the tallest man in the circle. Then Capcom asked for Zangief to be the tallest guy.
This then became a ridiculous pissing contest to try and make each company’s respective character the biggest in the room which resulted in Ralph looking absolutely tiny.
Finally the team decided that everyone shall be almost exactly the same height with minor exceptions, like Clyde the ghost being shorter and other basic details.

What people tend to forget, is that when a bug absorbs/eats something it takes on it's characteristics. So when the bug ate her husband to be she had to kill something that looked like him.
Makes me wonder if it had sentience like Candy/Turbo did at the end. If so, that's even more depressing.

As a person with epilepsy who has been teased by kids and kicked out of classes by teachers and councilors who tried to talk my parents into homeschooling me because they were scared of my seizures, worrying that I would cause problems, I just wish I could hug Vanellope.
I’ll forever have an awkward memory about seeing this movie when it came out because I didn’t realize until getting to the theater that I was on a triple date with a friend from school, his brother and his brother’s girlfriend, and his parents. And all “couples” sat separate from each other lmao.

The twisting of King Candy's catchphrase: "Have some candy!" is just amazing. I love it. Would've loved to hear a twisted "Turbo-tastic!" though. But in all fairness, we did hear that kind of thing when Turbo was trying to kill Vanellope.
One of my favorite animated movies! Everything about it is engaging and well written, and it pulls at my heart strings every time. The hitting him with his glasses part is my peak humor and gets me every time

Ralph destroying her racer will always be extremely difficult to watch. That scene just hurts. They did such a good job building up the importance of that and to see him wreck it and her entire dream crumble before her eyes... ouch.
Through all my secondary school years, I watched this movie every night so I could go to bed happy knowing I’ll have good dreams. But now being older I can see and appreciate the messages in this movie. Such great cinema.
Great reaction! I love this movie. It makes me laugh a lot and also tear up at times like when hearing Vanellope cry as Ralph destroys her car. The plot is amazing. Please check out the sequel! You will love finding all of the pop culture references in it.

If you pay attention the bugs always change into the things that they've eaten so when it shows that her fiance was ate at their wedding by the bug technically he would have turned into the bug so he wasn't killed by the bug he was killed by her when he became the bug

Disney has absolutely cracked the formula, but in a way that allows them to not make formula films. They aren't all the same. But there are patterns. They understand what it takes to make you relate to a character and care about them. They have to set up a loss or something to drive the 2nd act that makes the character realize they need to change something in them. They understand very well just when to break your heart. They're extremely good with timing all of these things. They have some extremely good writers and incredibly talented animators.
I never knew how much I needed you to react to this amazing movie until now!!

16:31 I'm rewatching the movie, because I love it, and I got to this scene. I know it's bull, but the excuse and the story still gets me. King Candy fabricated the perfect lie that I sometimes wonder if Alan Tudyk was even told his character was a lying
Why did I only notice this now? Ralph steps in to help Vanellope once she gets pushed into the mud, just as he was so many times before her
The Fix it Felix game didn't exist previously, but after the movie, they made it, and its now playable at the Disney arcade

Wreck it Ralph changed my perspective of video games. Now i think all the characters from every game i own hangs out in the outlet surge protector 😂❤
I love arcades especially that light running in a circle game. The second film is pretty much Disney flexing all that they own. It is a must watch as it has the Disney girls in it and I believe nearly all the voice actresses came back for the princesses.

I went to a mini golf and arcade place a two months ago when visiting friends and ah it's so fun. That's not something I usually do. My usual go-to game is the one where you gotta knock coins down... idk what it's called. And a new favorite I've never seen as a kid is where you play 4 giant piano keys and gotta match the keys on screen. Super fun

Yes, this is a classic, you have to see the second one too! It's amazing. In Spanish this is one of the movies that got an amazing dub, cause some of the jokes they adapted to latin people to understand.

And the whole money making craze on youtube is horrible. Ralph realizes he's doing shit. but he does it to get the money so he continues. And when he sees the comments, he sees that people know it's shit and he's sad. BUT HE KNEW IT BEFORE. and there you have the algorithm that says this terrible sentence: "let them say it, don't take it into account" you can't say that to the public. it's impossible. your character knows he's doing shit. it is neither passion nor work. he uses the worst methods on the internet to make dirty money.

Being fair to Ralph, this specific party is to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the game that HE makes possible. So he kinda has the right to invite himself in this instance, since it was actually a MAJOR jerk move for no one to invite him in the first place.

I saw it when it came out, and in my and my family's experience, those of us 30 and under loved it, and those over 30 (ahem, our old parents, namely our dad) didn't. I loved it then and still do now.

That button sequence King Candy does to access the game code is what's called the Contra Code.
If you do that specific order, you get 30 lives for your character at the start of the game.
Alternatively if you hit select at the end, you can also do it for player 2.
It's actually called the Konami Code as it featured in many Konami games over their run. Contra was the most well known. It actually pops up to this day all over the internet as well with websites incorporating it to access hidden things. Facebook had it in their code for a while. Google's results page did at one point.

Yes, Arcades are still around but you no longer use coins to play. now days you have to buy points on a card just to play them. it's annoying.

I really enjoy this film! It’s cast of video game characters and humor is absolutely entertaining imo. It’s also got a lot of heart too, especially with the relationship between Ralph and Vanellope. I experienced Wreck It Ralph in a 3D screening and it was fantastic. Honestly, one of the greatest Disney films in the 3D animation era imo.
I loved This movie as a kid. Fun Fact this was Alan Tudyk’s First Disney voice role. For this role he took inspiration from Disney’s mad Hatter. 1:47 I never saw Stranger things. 1:53 Yes. I saw the Sequel the weekend after me and my family got back from Our Disney trip. 3:10 I haven’t seen this movie in a minute. I 3:15 I did know who Bowser and Pac-Man Ghost, Dr Egghead, and Sonic were as a kid

the arcade game you liked: it was a scam, watch Mark Roper's video about it, he made a computer to push he button perfect every time and it couldn't because the game is rigged.

This movie is one of my top 5 favorite Disney movies.
Tapper, the game with the beer? Yes, it'd just giving out beer (well, mostly). Customers come down one of four lanes. You throw a drink at them, and it slides them back. If they go all the way to the back, that customer is gone and you're safe. Otherwise, they'll pause, drink the beer, and then start an empty glass back towards the front. They also sometimes drop money somewhere along the counter. You can run left along a counter to collect oncoming glasses and money. Easy so far.
If a glass reaches the front and you're not there to catch it, it falls to the floor, breaks, and you lose a life.
If you throw a beer and there's no one without a beer to catch it, it flies off the back, falls, breaks, and you lose a life.
If the customers get to the front without a beer, they grab you, slide you across the bars into the wall, and you lose a life.
In between levels, you sometimes get a shell-game mini game to play. There's something like 10 beers on a counter, and a guy pops up, shakes a beer, drops down, and does this for 9 of the 10 beers. Then the beers start swapping positions (though always with one directly beside it). You get a bonus life if you can correctly pick the unshaken beer (otherwise you get sprayed with beer).
As levels go up, you get more customers, they slide back less and less when given a beer, the guy shaking the beers in the bonus game gets faster, and the swapping gets faster. Eventually it'll be too fast, too many, and you won't be able to keep up. It's effectively a matter of how far you can go.
"...that ring-light game..."
Yeah, that's gambling. There's no 'game' to it, the thing is rigged. Literally, the owners can program it. It is _literally_ impossible to win if enough losses haven't happened yet. You could be the most accurate, most precise person ever and you can't win. Someone built a robot with micro-second timing and cameras to watch it and time it, and when they filmed at high speed they found out that the central light (that you're supposed to click on) _doesn't_ light up, at all, if it's not allowed to. I just wish I could find the video showing this.
