- Whilst staying in the best hotel/hostel in Cartagena, I met Ervin, a Colombian dude who has been living in Cartagena for the last 27 years.
He said he could take me to go see the local market called "Bazurto"
There we met a guy called Sebastian who decided to tag along.

I like that most of these people seem to be so happy even with their modest financial situations; Here in the US people are stuck living to work, in perpetual debt and generally unhappy with stressful lives.

Some of the happiest people are the poorest.... At least from my experiences from traveling around the world
People with traditional jobs in Colombia work even more than people here in the US despite what you may think. The average work week is 6 days, with only one day off on Sunday.
They are more social. Social means happy.
Your Spanish has come a long way from when we met in Mexico 😆

6:12 To explain what happened, when you arrived at that place, she did not want to cut your hair at first (5:38) because she only knew how to do _"classic haircuts"_ for men so she suggested you guys to go somewhere around the corner as there was a barber in there.
Your friend at 5:45 insisted her to cut your hair by jokingly telling her that you guys wanted to do a video with a female hairdresser to advertise female hairdressers from Bazurto on internet and that if Colombian female hairdressers were not willing to give you a haircut, you guys would look for a Venezuelan hairdresser instead... So that's when she laughs at 6:04 and says _"No, no, no, a Colombian can do it!"_ and accepts the challenge.
Also, that's the reason why the guy emphasizes to you in 6:34 that you are going to get a classic hairstyle as that's the only style she knows for men. Being that said, that's the reason she started cutting your hair straight away in 7:48 without asking you about how you'd like your haircut as it was already stablished in the previous conversation (at least for her and your friend) that you guys were only getting a classic haircut from her.

I’m glad the people like being filmed. I know you’re German and I have to tell you I’ve never had any issue with people being ok with me filming them until I went to Germany. Some Germans are VERY weird about being filmed and they get quite upset about being filmed in public. That being said, another great video 👍🏼

Dude you just made that lady’s day .... you gave her the equivalent of 15 haircuts in one tip. I piece of advice ...be very careful giving those kind of tips in Colombia because they are so high that people may think you have a lot of money and that could be dangerous...they don’t know you are giving donations. Just be careful. I am in Medellin in case you want to come and you need a contact here in the city...take care bro and I really like your videos ...very real and 0 bullshit.
