- Whilst on the mission to see the Palenque ruins hidden deep in the jungles of Chiapas, I was staying at a hotel in the outskirts of Palenque town and decided to show you guys what it was like.

I cant believe people complain to Kurt about him not going to the tourist places. The reason why I watch this channel is to get the local culture experience. I love seeing the way the people live. The reason why Kurt's channel is successful is because he films the non tourist places. Not many people do that on youtube.
Palenque is a tourist place though…

I love how everyone waves “hi” to the camera. They all seem so friendly and approachable. I also liked how @ 16:10 the mother was helping her children doing homework. That’s true parenting. Thank you for us the raw side of this town vs the tourists sites. It’s beautiful in every way. Keep up the great work!

I actually have an explanation for the sometimes hot and cold water coming from the faucet/showers. In Mexico a lot of buildings get there water pump from the ground and onto the rooftops in hide water tanks. These water tanks can be under the intense heat from the sun can cause the water to heat up and resulting in warm tap water

Yep, summer: fucking water is hot all day, winter: water is fucking cold all day in North México , in south is hot no matter what all day all night

I find what you are doing very inspiring and I look forward to your next video. I love that you are in to MMA and currently in Thailand (at the time I am making this comment) and I hope you continue to train and would love to see you in a professional fight in the future although I would be even more excited to see beat the crap out of either Paul brother!!!! I have trained Jiu Jitsu for about 10 years now and I highly recommend training Jiu Jitsu as much as you can although I know it must be difficult when you travel full time.

Kurt my brother if you're still min Mexico or plan to go back you definitely need to go to Tijuana, Mexico (TJ) the food is the best. Anywhere from tacos, the famous fish tacos, shrimp tacos, cocteles you name it. You can even take a trip down the coast to Rosarito or Ensenada.

Palenque is one of my favorites in the whole world! Not far from there, you can cross the river into Guatemala for mas adventure! Super cool, super fun!
I did the journey by land from Palenque to Guatemala in February (not the river route) with local transportation and it was a really fun adventure!

Seriously Kurt, I've fallen in love with your many adventures! My first exposure to your channel was when you went to Haiti and went to buy a voodoo ritual! DUDE! Since that moment, I have been following your channel, just to have peace of mind that you are safe! hahaha! Love what you are doing so much. Wish I wasn't a well rounded female bodied person so I could travel solo like you are. You are tall, strong, assertive, and you have a very good sense of people. The perfect skills required for going into the more local parts. Growing up in California, I was exposed to a lot of Latin American folk, and you can generally get a sense of people right away if they are gonna try to swindle you, or invite you into trouble. hey brother... you may already know but i thought i'd help. when something is spicy hot, they say pica (peeka) like a short version of picante. caliente is "temperature" hot such as a pan on a stove or the weather. love this video... the heart of MX. good ppl. I don't like the picante on mango, but the dry spice is good. it's probably Tajin
