TNA was the BEST wrestling company out there between 2005 and 2013 when their cash flow problems started and they then rebranded as Impact wrestling. Love your vids bro keep them coming and I would like to see you react to the aces and 8s story line from TNA
Don't forget the brief blip of three months in 2017, they went from Impact Wrestling to Global Force Wrestling back to Impact Wrestling. Impact merged with Jeff Jarrett's GFW. They went back to Impact Wrestling due to Jarrett leaving the company.
the announcers were Mike Tenay (who was an O.G WcW guy) and the other guy was Don West who was known for late night infomercials selling baseball cards. Those 2 were the heart on TNA. Mike is m.i.a no and sadly Don West passed earlier this year.
The special match you were watching, is called an “Ultimate X Match”. A marquee letter “X” on a chain from a movie theater sign is hung from the center of an X-shaped frame. Cables underneath the frame are installed. The wrestlers in the match have to climb to the top rope corner, then move across the cable to get to the center, to retrieve the “X” to win the match. Sometimes, a championship belt(s) are put there instead, with the winner of the match becoming the champion. If other wrestlers are also on the cables, they try to knock them down, to get free clearance to get to the “X” or championship belt(s). More often, they all fall back to the ring floor.
TNA's ring was a hexagon from 2004 to 2010. It was quite unique and never should've changed, I think they continued using it in special events after 2010. A downside of a hexagon ring is that the ring is smaller and gives less making bumps much more painful. TNA Does still exist though it was rebranded as IMPACT wrestling and is a shadow of its former self
@@all3nplayzgames577 One of many god awful decisions he and Bischoff made. You know they could've had Paul Heyman instead. but He wanted full control and everyone on the roster over 40 fired which would've been a very good thing to do. but TNA wouldn't have it I wonder what might have happened to TNA if they went with Heyman
Jeff Jarrett worked for AAA and got the idea for the six-sided from them. There were some who complained about the six-sided ring. Some of the issues were harder to adapt to, hard on the body, the four corners. Sting was happy when it was gone. But other were pissed such as AJ Styles. On an edition WWE's "Table for Three," he said it made them different to what other companies were doing, loved the look, it was MMA. Once Kurt Angle adapted to it, he loved it. Made the matches faster and whatnot. Booker T. didn't like it was gone. He said he was taking many bumps and doing any high flying. So it wasn't a big deal. If you liked it, you can blame Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff for getting rid of the six-sided ring. They did use the six-sided ring again. But when Don Callis and Scott D'Amore became executive vice presidents they went back to the traditional ring.
@whitepaws60 Honestly. Maybe a hot take but I think they would be on par with WWE today. With Vince shitting the bed with WWE for 10+ years, if Heyman had that time to build TNA it'd be on the level at least
TNA was nuts! Early AJ Styles, early Samoa Joe, prime Jeff Hardy, Prime Kurt Angle, Cristian, RVD, Rhino, Bobby Lashley, Jeff Jarrett, Dudlez. Those are just the names non-TNA fans would know. Then you got Beer Money, Abyss, Suicide *also know as TJP,* The Motercity Machine Guns, Aces and 8s. I could go on and on. But nope, once Hogan went over, shit hit the fan. He wanted the show about younger talent being about him now.
1:27 I was there for this match. Unfortunately, they did this spot down from where I was sitting, so I didn't get a good look. But Samoa Joe and Sting did fight past me on the stairs in the main event. BOUND FOR GLORY IV
2:54 Ultimate X Match. There where a set of two cables over the ring in an X shape, the goal is to climb the cables and get the Red X, or X Division title, in the center.
It's always funny to see you censor in your intros, then it doesn't take long for that to go out the window with a real "HOLY SHIT!". Haha, as good as always
TNA had lots of funny stuff, from King of The Mountain to Steel Asylum match, comic Fish Market Street Fight (find it and watch), Prince Justice Brotherhood faction and Joker Sting. TNA was the best in it’s prime years.
TNA/Impact was an excellent wrestling alternative in their early years in the 2000s, especially their X Division (the small flippy guys akin to cruiserweights/junior heavyweights). The issues were the lack of a good business model and executive meddling and turnover; weakness in their top heavyweight division; an over reliance on stars from other companies that weren't in their prime or just wanting to collect a paycheck until WWE welcomed them back; a failure to reward loyal talents who'd be considered homegrown (AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Chris Daniels, etc); and becoming obsessed with competing with WWE, at one point positioning their #1 cable program against WWE Raw on Mondays. After years of financial bootstrapping, Impact settled back down into a niche and has received a good amount of praise again. Almost every pro wrestling fan has at some time expected this company to fold but good on them for maintaining.
That was Elix Skipper walking on the top of the cage then hitting a hurricanrana. Going viral is such a overused term these days, but that's exactly happened to Elix Skipper. Such an iconic moment in company history.
the guy who looked like The Undertaker is called Sting and the match where you saw barb wire taking the place of ring ropes is called Barb Wire Massacre and the match you saw was Abyss vs his stepbrother Judas Mesias
TNA became Impact and had the 6 sided ring for most of it's history. The ropes across the was X division title match where they hung the title in the middle. Have you done any CZW clips, combat zone wrestling ?
If you wanna watch quite possibly the best match in any promotion... Christopher Daniels vs Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles at Unbreakable 2005, easily the best match TNA (now known as Impact) has ever produced, and the only 5 star match TNA has under its belt
Yeah AJ was like the Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin or John Cena to TNA. I'm not saying he was as good as those guys (though I personally believe he was better than Hogan or Cena ever were), but thats how important he was to the company. Literally was there since Day 1 and carried TNA on his back for like 13 years before he eventually left for Japan and then WWE
TNA is still around - it just changed its name to Impact Wrestling in 2017. It's no where near this good though - these were the glory years (2004 - 2010). Yes, TNA were AJ's, Joe's and Kurt Angle's prime years - I actually cannot believe all three were in their prime at the same time in the same place.
IMPACT! Wrestling is currently a Canadian-owned promotion. They do their best to hold pay-per-view events in US cities, but every so often during the year, they have to hold pay-per-view events in Canadian cities. With the demise of Maple Leaf Wrestling and Stampede Wrestling in Canada, there is no longer an institutional memory of how to operate a promotion successfully there. Scott D’Amore, despite the controversial history that surrounds him, does have a history and understanding of the promotion, and that is why the current ownership hired him to run the promotion behind the scenes. D’Amore has had to start from scratch, and has used his connections in the professional wrestling industry to try to bring in talents that can create interest in the promotion, and to generate a satisfactory pay-per-view buy rate. Eventually, D’Amore has to find a way to promote and elevate the younger wrestlers on his roster, and that is not going to be an easy thing to do.
Top 60 Moves Of Jordynne Grace. She's also professional powerlifter, holds a couple of women's records for lifts, squats and whatnot. Her nicknames are Thick Mama Pump and The Juggernaut, she's even teamed up with Big Papa Pump a couple of times. He always said he didn't like "faaaaaat asses" but he sure seems to like Jordynne's thic backside. She was in a tag team with Lu Fisto called PAWG, Phat Ass White Girls, I'd like to see them reunite even just for one match.
Bully Ray and Abyss at 1:30, that feud is still going on, they just had a match this past week, well not a match really, Bully Ray beat the hell out of Abyss' alter-ego then got laid out by a sidewalk slam in a pile of thumbtacks when Abyss saw his own blood after getting clocked in the head with a cowbell.
TBF the Women's Knockout Division is really talented, much better than WWE. They need to sign Max The Impaler, would love to see a feud between her The Juggernaut Jordynne Grace and JesSicka. Power move after power move, these three ladies are strong, no off-the-ropes or gymnastics to see here, just sheer physical brutality.
The Big Heads in TNA hired some old guys from WCW (Vince Russo, Eric Bicsoff and Hulk Hogan) who killed that company and let them run TNA. Then they removed everything that made this promotion special and basically turned it into WWE 2.0. Let TNA Homegrown stars like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe go. Let their big stars like Kurt Angle and Sting go. Currently it's doing better than before but still it's really bad
Cant believe you never seen early tna. They did some crazy, unique and some times cringeworthy stuff. AJ Styles was in his early years to prime in TNA. He was there from 2002 to a few years before he went to wwe in 2016. Original tna isnt around anymore because they didnt have the money. The were bought out by different companies, that didn't like what you are seeing here, got rid of most of it and rebranded to impact wrestling. The only thing they still have from back then is the ultimate X match. The matches where there is some kind of X or cross above the ring.
TNA was what AEW is today. The Alternative Pro Wrestling for those who don't watch WWE. Unfortunately lot of shit happened and currently it's rebranded as "Impact Wrestling" which nobody cares
Impact!, they got rid of that stupid 6 sided ring. The wrestlers have full control over their matches, characters and storylines but that's all secondary, they really give a shit about their performances and give it their best every night. These are the wrestlers who do it for the love of wrestling, not to be rich and famous, most of these wrestlers wouldn't sign with WWE for any amount of money, some have been there and regret it.
TNA is the company that never dies, even when it should've. They lost money and a bunch of stuff happened with multiple owners, bringing in Hulk Hogan which nobody wanted etc. They're now "Impact Wrestling" and are on some weird channel that only 30% of people have.
TNA was rebranded into Impact Wrestling in 2017. Impact wrestling is still going on today.
Annnd now back to TNA!
Who cares

Mike Tenay has retired from the professional wrestling industry, and is living a quiet life in Las Vegas, Nevada.
And they're going into the Impact Hall of Fame, rightfully so in less than a week
AJ Styles was the face of TNA thoughout it's run as Total Nonstop Action. He essentially got his start through TNA.

when yoy replayed at 4:15 the guy in the blue shorts (daniels) almost died from the way he landed but the masked guy (suicide) was completely fine.

TNA IS BACK! It's been called impact wrestling for a while but they've brought TNA back.
So glad TNA is returning in January!!!!
It's called impact wrestling now
TNA still doing well and they doing great shows. TNA rebranded into IMPACT WRESTLING few years ago..
tna is now called impact wrestling
TNA used the 6 sided ring throughout most of their history. I think from 2003 to 2010.
