That jake the snake promo was so good. The "never turn your back on someone you're afraid of" line was *chefs kiss* and the "I dont want the whole pie, just your share" was nuts
Already commented but wanted to add that the guy at 11:08 was Brodie Lee, Luke Harper in WWE, he was the first TNT champion and was at the peak of his career before sadly passing away due to long-had health complications AEW did a show dedicated to him where every match had someone from his stable in them, and they gave his around 10yr old son “Negative -1” that version of the TNT title and a contract to join AEW when he’s old enough
The guy that you liked with the scarf is MJF. You should do a reaction video of the full segment between MJF and CM Punk. Very entertaining and one of the most elite segments ever on AEW. I would love to see your reaction to it. Keep up the amazing videos!!
At 12:05, what happened was a fan jumped the barricade and tried getting into the ring before Jericho beat his ass and the guy got thrown out by security.
That was Brodie Lee. Former wwe wrestler Luke Harper. Part of the Wyatt family. He unfortunately passed away. You should watch the tribute show for him AEW did. It was so touching and well done. I recommend it
To answer some of the questions Guy in the scarf: MJF, in my opinion the greatest heel in wrestling today, the Rosie O’Donell comment is a reference of a young MJF going on her talk show. The Fat Bastard: a fan who jumped the barricade at Chris Jericho during a contract signing with MJF Ex WWE guy holding the chain with a beard: Mr.Brodie Lee a.k.a Luke Harper in WWE. Sadly passed away in late 2020 Guy who looked like Randy Orton: Junior Dos Santos, a MMA fighter really
Some of the promos that happened in AEW in 2022 were so great... they will be tough to top! Phew, is it great if people don't have to follow a badly written script and can actually let talent shine. It just feels REAL, you know (and sometimes it kinda is). Great stuff!
That "less famous Miz" guy's name is MJF which stands for Maxwell Jacob Friedman. You should definitely like him, he's god tier on the mic, one of the biggest heels in all of wrestling today, and most of his storylines in AEW are god tier from his feud with Cody Rhodes to his feud with Chris Jericho & Inner Circle to his feud with CM Punk recently it was fantastic. The thing about MJF is that people loves his heel work, and he knows how to make kayfabe into a storyline, that's what makes him so great. And another thing is that he rarely breaks character, like on social media, interviews, etc. he stays in character But now he's in bigger angle, well a work shoot angle. The last time he's on AEW is a few months ago when he dropped a pipebomb promo about Tony Khan (President of AEW) & their drama about MJF's contract & payment because he was pissed off when bigger stars guys like CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, and more who joined AEW recently & got paid more money than him, and MJF is part of AEW since Day 1. Now many AEW & WWE fans are questioning where he is, many WWE fans thinks he's going to WWE right now which I disagree because his contract with AEW is up in 2024, and Tony Khan never releases his talent like how Vince does, what he did to the talent who's let go is that he leaves their contracts running til it expires. So my take on this situation is that he's gonna be back soon because Punk was injured after the pipebomb promo & he tried to confront MJF but he ran away from Punk, and now recently Punk came back, so there's a chance he could comeback anytime soon
AEW and WWE have a bit of a rivalry going on, but it is mostly the toxic fans of both that are really agitated with each other. There are friends in the locker rooms across the divide that remains friends despite being in different promotions, with social media posts congratulating each other when goods things happen. EDIT - If you want to see some top-level savagery, Christian's promos against Jungle Boy is where you need to go. Christian Promo #1 - ruclips.net/video/UTZQ7l-sWiU/видео.html Christian Promo #2 - ruclips.net/video/BMZTtRlSP1A/видео.html
@11:07 yes the guy used to be in wwe by the name luke harper in the faction called wyat family but in aew he went by his real name brody lee and sadly during covid he died (not from covid ) RIP. he is still remembered by everyone in aew for being such a wonderful person and his son is sometimes part of the show.
Jericho said 'ive never heard of you, because you look like a jobber" Jobber meaning in wrestling : used as an enhancement talent to put over other talent.
To answer your WWE vs AEW question: AEW was taking a ton of shots at WWE in the beginning, but it’s gotten somewhat better. I’m actually realistically hopeful that HHH and Steph being in charge may lead to a working relationship between the two companys
Love the video. So to try and explain the insults between companies, AEW & WWE are obviously competitors but most of it is just a nod and a wink to the fans who will get the references. There is some bad blood in specific scenarios but for the most part it's all in good fun. (That being said, some comments have led to fights backstage but those are extreme situations)
A “Jobber” is someone who is usually used to put over other talent meaning they lose a lot and are ok with it as they tend to not get over enough to be a champion
I'm sure this has been answered by now, but Jericho called whoever that was a jobber, which means "enhancement talent" as in wrestlers who are designated to lose to other wrestlers.
if you’re interested in the MJF vs CM Punk feud there is a really great ~50 minute documentary on it on youtube and it was put together very well and is a good watch.
that promo between Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston was intense “and I realized why because I never heard of you before because you look like a jobber”
I'm starting to enjoy AEW after a really long hiatus from any wrasslin'. Only thing I don't like about it so far is Chris Jericho. A question to those who watch, do AEW broadcast on tv once a week? I swear I saw that there was more than one program, but in Canada I see only Dynamite once a week. Cheers.
The “rivalry” was mostly started by WWE. HHH called AEW a “pissant company” back in 2019. Then, “NXT” had to switch nights because they were getting beat by AEW. Vince talked badly about AEW doing “blood and guts” programming, which is what AEW calls their version of War Games. Then, there was a supersized “Smackdown” episode that actually went head-to-head with “Rampage” and Vince was so petty he made that half hour commercial free, but the funny thing was that Ruby Soho vs. The Bunny drew the same demo as the Brock and Roman contract signing, hence the “Acknowledge the Bunny” meme. So, AEW takes shots at WWE, but I think it’s mainly because, unlike WWE, they don’t pretend wrestlers never wrestled anywhere else.
Don't forget that WWE tried to bury AEW by changing when NXT aired to Wednesdays and also by signing as many free agents as they could just to stop them from signing. WWE always claimed that AEW wasn't competition but sure did a lot to try stop them.
I know they are long vids but you should react to super eyepatch wolf's video's on wrestling they are so good at giving more context of why people love wrestling
I'll give AEW this for sure. They allow the talent to cut a lot better promos than WWE, but as far the action in the ring, stop the hot shot spots and bring back a lil old school psychology to create suspense and draw in the fans more. That's my opinion though.
A jobber is basically the people that are a smallish to medium build that wrestling companies bring in to enhance talent that they are trying to get over. You know when a massive 250-300 pound muscular guy fights a guy who looks like works at the local corner store in a match? That corner store guy is a jobber. Basically anyone who is paid to lose a bunch of matches to get someone else over.
To put it plainly, there's no *real* beef between WWE and AEW. At the end of the day, competition is great for business and that's doubly true for Pro Wrestling. From time to time they'll take shots at each other to keep things moving, but nothing serious has come from it despite what some folks will say.
I get you don’t watch anymore. The miz wishes he had the heat and the talent of mJf and “that guy from wwe” is Brodie lee who sadly passed away 26 December 2022
during that contract signing between Jericho and MJF, I think MKF riled up a guy in the crowd, to the point the guy jumped the barricade, as soon as he got to the apron Jericho beat the shit out of him.
so the story is that WWE actually hated everyone in AEW from the very beginning because The Young Bucks & Kenny declined contracts from them and started their own company and they’ve been basically trying to kill AEW through stopping advertisers from investing in them, sending spies to their shows to give spoilers, banning aew shirts from events, doing press runs talking shit about them & AEW basically talks shit about wwe because it gets a reaction lol most ppl backstage aew dont actually hate wwe tho except for maybe Cody in the beginning before he eventually went back to wwe.. and the people who Vince treated badly also hate wwe
AEW has been mentioned on WWE before… twice by Edge. Probably very much against Vince’s directive. Now with HHH in charge of creative, it’ll be interesting to see what happens. HHH has also mentioned AEW on WWE programming. He infamously called them a “pissant company” during the HOF ceremony only to have “NXT” have to move nights since they were getting beat by “Dynamite.”
It's kind of a long video, so you'd probably want to break it up into a few different episodes, but you'd probably enjoy reacting to the MJF/CM Punk documentary Better Than You.

If that's the clip with MJF and the kid in the wheelchair, then it must be reacted to.
Seconded
Thirded lol
Him and CM Punk was the greatest Mic on Mic I have ever seen 😂
Bret was enjoying the roast. Hes old school.

Just to make this clear. You forgot "Never turn your back on someone your respect" line, which was so awesome because he turned his back on him

He wasn't the first TNT champion. He was the second one to win it.
AEW and Hockey reaction vids are what I’m living for right now. I love that you’re jumping down the AEW rabbit hole
You should check out more of MJF’s savagery. He’s rivals Punk and The Rock when it comes to promo work.
11:19 RIP Mr. Brodie Lee, hard to believe the guy had a lung issue with a promo like that.
11:23 yes he use to be a part of the Wyatt family. (Aka Luke Harper) He was in AEW until he tragically passed away. RIP Brodie Lee :(

MJF is honestly one the best things going in wrestling right now. He's extremely entertaining imo.
At 12:05, what happened was a fan jumped the barricade and tried getting into the ring before Jericho beat his ass and the guy got thrown out by security.
Wow after this Video i realized how much i miss MJF in AEW. I hope he comes back at All Out
