I would like to say congratulations on how hard you work Chris on a daily basis and I that everyone that follows your channel agrees with my statement. I’m totally blown away by how well you use your time in reference to this job and the road build…..your amazing Chris and a fantastic role model for all those people out there thinking about starting in that trade.
@Mr. Avuncular your exactly right. Couldn’t have said it better myself. It’s either that or its in our blood and been there since first time on equipment wearing diapers. Got the gifts and talents threw elders before us. Yeah I guess what you did was and wiser way to put it lol🤦♂️ I’ll just go back to digging and keep my head down😞
@Mr. Avuncular I wasn’t raise quite to that degree. We listened and respected elders. Parents let some things slide but around other family’s or our grandparents, we was on our best behavior. I remember going to work with grandpa helping pour concrete and lay brick and block. After work is when I got to get on the equipment. Work first then play. Good luck getting kids these days to do that.
Chris is so good at narrating what he's doing he should start another channel "Cooking with Chris"! He can teach people to cook traditional NC/SC dishes.

I just wish I could get hold of some of what you're sending for pulp wood & "borderline" saw logs. I'd happily put it through the bandsaw, then air dry it for a couple of years to save paying the insane prices for 4x2 & 6x2 here in the UK.
I envy you. I wished I'd have gotten trained to operate heavy equipment. I was a forklift operator extraordinaire, but that's a long ways from operating heavy equipment. I think I would've been good at it and I would've thoroughly enjoyed working outside. I'm retired now, so now I watch this channel to satisfy my fantasy. I guess I should say, "I dig this channel." Thank you for this video. I saw you do an amazing thing awhile ago where you dug a deep hole (a barrow or burro pit?) with the top part sloped out and it seemed to work really well. I wonder if you will do that here down by the pond?
