In 1951-52 we lived in Tracy, Cal. and used to go over to the neighbor, Joe Alves, and watch TV. Rosemary Clooney was on the Hit Parade quite often. All I remember is that she looked pretty to this 5-6 yr. old, along with Giselle MacKenzie (1927-2003) and Dinah Shore. Dinah Shore used to sing “See the USA in your Chevrolet”. We had a ‘42 Plymouth, but that was okay. Recently met a mid-70’s lady at Lowe’s named Rosemary. I asked if that were after Clooney. YES!! The first time in all her years that anyone had asked her that.😅😊🤗
This is GREAT. What a talent Rosie was! And Janet Leigh is so sweet, and such a beauty Both ladies wrote excellent memoirs. Rosie: " Girl Singer" and " This For Remembrance" . Janet: " There Really Was A Hollywood".
