janet leigh was an amazing actress.she was brilliant in psycho.i did not know she won a nomination for that movie,i did not know that at all.she was one of the biggest stars in hollywood.she will always be one of my favorite movie stars.it is amazing how passionate she is in this interview, talking about her life, talking about all the movies she played in,everything.she might be dead and gone, but she will never be forgotten.janet all the way.
I think what I liked most abt Janet is the fact that she was not content to simply coast on being beautiful. She wanted to be a great actress, I think she achieved it ❤
So good to have these little snippets of Janet. Still looked great nearing 60 in this, although a lifetime of cigarettes took a toll on the skin. Bless her generation, they had no idea..
On top of that I read she suffered from bulimia. It too can prematurely age you. I've seen pictures of her in her 70's and she looked like she was in her 90's. So sad. She was stunningly beautiful in her younger years!
@@natebarrett9506 actually, it was her colitis she mentioned in the autobiography that plagued her since catching dysentery in Africa while filming Safari. I’ve not read anywhere of her bulimia, she was a healthy weight until her latter years. 😆
Although there was no Surgeon General's report, people in the 1930's & '40's (and earlier) knew that smoking was bad for your health. They also knew it caused lung diseases like emphysema. The Surgeon General's report which came much later did not surprise anyone.
God bless him, but Skip E. Lowe is the worst interviewer; he gets all the facts wrong and jumps all over the place. How he got these people to appear on his show is amazing.
I think his main problem is that he obviously does little or no research about his guests because he thinks he already knows everything there is to know about them since he is the world's foremost expert on Hollywood.
I love watching for these legends definitely not skip because he's constantly interrupting when the stars are talking, it's so distracting and disrespectful to the legends sitting in front of him...
Van Johnson claimed the only movie Judy Garland made on time and under budget was because he complemented her every day and told her she was beautiful. In the Good old Summertime.
Skip E. Lowe is quite irritating. Uh huh uh huh. Zzz GOD! How did he get to interview someone as classy as Janet Leigh? Thank goodness she rose above him.
And Sandra Shevey conducted Alfred Hitchcock`s last one to one interview c1972 around the same time she was an extra in the last film made by Orson Welles. Sadly Sandra now age 76 and running the Alfred Hitchcock London Walk did not interview von. Didn`t like the film with Janet nor Janet`s performance in it. for RKO I think. Set up by Hughes. www.alfredhitchcockwalk.wordpress.com

My heart is in my mouth as I simply watch Janet Leigh. She is so enthrallingly lovely in every way! I am utterly smitten!
She’s so sweet! Why can’t we have stars like this anymore 😢
Janet was Wonderful. RIP

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Skip E Lows is the Edward D. Wood, Jr. of interviewers.

@@fraserthomson5766 yeah I remember reading that as well. I was just saying I read where she also had bulimia, but I could be mistaken.

Listening to Janet Leigh reminiscing about the FABULOUS Judy Garland brings tears ...
Oh goodness Janet was simply lovely, so gentle and sweet, what a real lady she was. RIP darlin x
Its amazing the guests this guy was able to get considering it was a cable access show. And to my knowledge, he did not pay them.
Skip asked the best questions!
Love his enthusiasm!
Much missed.
She is very graceful and yet human.

Everytime I want to watch a interview and find out it is Skip Lowe, I won't watch it. He is the most annoying interview host.
Amen! He makes the conversation sound like a Robert Altman movie.
I think his main problem is that he obviously does little or no research about his guests because he thinks he already knows everything there is to know about them since he is the world's foremost expert on Hollywood.
Stephen Reginald They liked him.
@@eveyholmes Don't think so.
Fabulous, thank you!!!
She's still so lovely. Wow.
Janet is still a beautiful woman. Such a Hollywood Icon.
She probably doesn't look so good- she died in 2004.

Skip E. Lowe met so many ridiculously famous people, and was nothing but rude to them....terrible interviewer
He's creepy.
Typical homosexual.
She's a lady.
Elegance responding to clumsiness

Oh he's okay. A bit eccentric
Skip E Lowe=Jiminy Glick :-)
Beachy Keen he reminds me of Cricket Marlowe
Why does Skip keep picking at his scalpe ?
Janet seems like a sweet lady, the thing I like about psycho is the acting with her and perkins it's like eavesdropping on a conversation
Great comment- it's one of my favorite scenes ever.
