I cannot say how happy I am to have stumbled upon this. I am a White Christmas FANATIC! I watch it too many times to count each Christmas season and a few times (many) in between. I would LOVE to come to Kentucky and see this house. My dad always said that Miss Clooney was his favorite! He would get a twinkle in his eye for 6 women. His mother, my mother, his 3 daughters and Rosemary! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
Sultry, sexy and wholesome - all at the same time. Rosemary Clooney was, and is, one of the greatest interpreters of a song. The best thing about seeing Ms. Clooney, live, was that she stood on the stage and sang. No wild movements, no flashy numbers - she just sang and let her voice wrap around the lyrics and melody of the song. I am fortunate to own many of her records and CDs.
Well said, cadicorniche. I was fortunate to sing in a small backup jazz chorus with Rosemary in a concert in 1991. I gave her a dozen lavender roses after the concert and she was gracious and very down to earth.
I adore this movie and Rosemary.I always thought she was so beautiful and her voice was so angelic.I wish she was still here, too, but God needed her in his choir. Thank you so much for posting this....R.I.P. sweet Rosie, you are truly missed.
This is a favorite of mine as I was born in September of 1954 and I was brought up watching White Christmas at the Holidays. My parents had dinner parties around the movie when it would air on TV. This video is a treasure and I hope to get to Augusta Kentucky to see the museum one day. I was born in Indianapolis, IN not so far away. I hope they got the black dress that Rosemary wore ...thank you so much.
Wonderful video. Love “White Christmas” and Rosemary’s voice. She was so talented. So glad the home has been preserved and is a museum. Looking forward to visiting.
Oh my goodness, I loved this. Now I can't wait to go to Kentucky to see her Museum!! White Christmas has been a staple in my family for 3 generations!! My mom loved it, I love it and my girls love it. It just isn't Christmas without White Christmas!!
The video and the museum are so well done, many thanks to the Henrys for a fitting tribute. I was fortunate to spend many a late supper with her at Patsy's in New York where she loved a good story and was kind to anyone she encountered. Her phrasing, something no one even thinks of any longer, was impeccable.
We loved to watch her as a Family ! I also have a sister Named Rosemary. What a gift ,she gave, her voice, and outstanding other abilities! Loved her, thru 50s, 60s.🎵🎶🦋🦋🇺🇲🇺🇲, Oh loved my sistertoo, especially her name.TREASURES🎵🎶🎶❤❤❤❤🍞🥂
I went to see Rosemary Clooney in the Rainbow Room in the late 90s in Manhattan. Wow, what a treat. I got a great table because I was an event planner there. She was amazing.
Dancer George Chikiris was featured in 2 dances, one at the Carousel Club and one at the Inn. A few years after this film, he played Bernardo in West Side Story and won a supporting Oscar.
That dress is iconic. Designer Edith Head wanted to showcase Rosemary's shoulders and back, which Head had called "perfection". Rosemary wore it at least once on her television program. Wish it could be found and given to this museum.
This incredible look in to Ms Clooney's life should have at LEAST 1 million thumbs up!!! This is an incredible video, thank you for posting it, just fantastic!
Wow ...great 3 part videos with Rosemary Clooney. I'm a big fan of White Christmas. Great to find these little hidden gem interviews on youtube. Thank you to whoever posted and shared.
What a beautiful tribute to Rosemary Clooney, that you have created. Thank you so much for this documentary. Rosemary will never be forgotten. Her movies bring back so many great memories of my late mother and I watching her movies together.
A wonderful piece - so glad you posted this. Rosemary was a gal that hit rock bottom and came back on top. I was so glad for her - she was such an inspiration - Diane.
I have always loved watching White Christmas. The movie is my favorite movie it reminds me so much of my Dad who was in the Army during World War 2 in Germany. I am a great fan of Rosemary Clooney and Bing Crosby. I know that Rosemary had many concerts to Yountville Veteran Home. I know the Veterans enjoyed her performance.
Wonderful surprise to find this video. Rosemary Clooney was my favorite star when I was a child. She is one of my fondest memories. Rest in peace, Rosemary.
What an amazing gift to give to the people of Kentucky. And a lovely gift to those of us who can only experience the house through you tube. Heather you are not only an incredible beautiful lady in your looks, but also beautiful in your heart. My own very small town of Withernsea on the East Coast of England is where The beautiful Kay Kendall was born and raised. In the lighthouse is a small museum dedicated to her memory.
What a wonderful tribute. All the work and love that went into such a undertaking. Congratulations on such a fantastic job. Rosemary is definitely smiling!
Makes me want to go to Kentucky I wish I had the money to go visit their I love Rosemary and white Christmas she was my favorite rest in peace Rosemary
Love this…I saw her interview recently about making White Christmas on RUclips. Not sure where this home is but I hope it wasn’t affected by the recent tornadoes. This is so special. ❤️
Very interesting and beautiful home, I learned a lot about Rosemary Clooney today, what a wonderful woman she must have been! Delightful, just delightful!
Fascinating! How she made all those films, shows and tv and...raised five children? Good American work ethic, energy and love of her profession I guess. A truly beautiful and so talented actress, singer, dancer and many other things!
And, she suffered at the hands of her husbands. Quite a fortitude- though still human. She made a “come back” toward the end of her life. People were very proud of her and appreciated her. Still do in 2020!

We were at Rosemary's last concert here in Hawaii and got to see her afterwards backstage, her brother and sister in-law Nick would come often and we'd see them at the symphony.
I think in a interview, she said the dress that Edit made, the black valor dress was her favorite from this movie. The movie was one of her favorites too. She was a wonderful lady, so smooth. Miss that dear one, can't wait to see this earth into a paradise it was meant to be and see all these dear ones come back from the dust and be alive again.
Well, my next foray out east will include a stop in Augusta, KY and the Rosemary Clooney Museum. Beautiful woman, marvelous voice, great singer, & wonderful personality.
If you look at Vera-Ellen in the dance on the patio sequence of WC, you see the prototype for the original Barbie doll, which came out three years after White Christmas. Vera-Ellen IS Barbie!
Actually, Vera-Ellen was anorexic before anyone knew what that was, exactly. If you look very closely at all of her costumes, she had the neckline heightened in each one so that her chicken neck (from years of being too thin) was covered up so no one would suspect she was anorexic. This is all documented in the archives at Paramount studios.
This is an old wives tale. Biographies of Ms Ellen put that to rest. You shouldn't continue to perpetuate lies against those who cannot defend themselves.@@hankaustin7091
@@moirbasso7051 and you need to go to the Paramount Archives and look it up.. it's all right there.. oh.. and one more thing.. go fuck yourself... have a great day
@@moirbasso7051 there's a biography by David Soren that describes in detail her eating problems and you only have to look at her to see it was true. She tried lots of strange fad diets and considering how much dance and exercise she did, it's clear she was under nourished. It's more than her just being naturally tiny. Also noted in On the Town, all her dresses had high necklines because of her neck and chest. She was fragile, and hardly made any films after White Christmas despite her youth, talent and popularity and became very reclusive. So sad, she was so bright and energetic on screen.
If I were ever to run into George Clooney, my first comment to him would be about how wonderful his Aunt Rosemary was and the rest of the conversation would be about her too.
Nick is a celeb in his own right. Like father, like son- for sure. Nick and wife Nina are very nice and humble people. Have done much for Kentucky, especially Northern Kentucky and overall Cincinnati area. Btw, Debby Boone, Rosemary’s daughter-in-law is so sweet, like her dad, too.
Watched “White Christmas” last night and again tonight. Love it. Watch it every year. . .repeatedly each year. Nick is her brother but also a retired local Cincinnati celeb. And we know who her nephew is, Nick and Nina’s son, George.
Really enjoyed this video and appreciate the Henry's for establishing the museum! Loved meeting family members but may I make the suggestion that Mica not speak with a gravely throat. This has become an unfortunate trend with young people. Other than that, lovely!
Rosemary clooney was a great singers on white christmas a bing crosby love the movie even now at sixty seven..glad her house was a museum a I live in she was great actress in white christmas..
