I'd rather have them functional than visible. Being a 50+ gymnast I don't have a problem seeing my abs even at about 25% body fat, but I've actually developed DR in the aftermath of an autoimmune disease that's much harder to fix than getting my abs to show.
Older gymnasts always impressive me! It's great that you're maintaining performance in such a challenging sport. Functional and visible abs don't have to be mutually exclusive, but DR definitely puts a damper on things. 😢DR is challenging to deal with...and often not fixable.
Well Ivana I see you are doing the Superman exercises at 5:09 and 5:10 but you are NOT getting the Superman biceps as seen at 5:33 and 5:34, However your physique is fit lean and slim feminine biceps. Cheers Ivana excellent video.
Thank you so much very informative video. I don’t think I can ever get that lean, my goal is to strengthen my core as much as I can and lose overall body fat
I’ll ring to ring the bell 🔔 didn’t get notifications on yaaaa video , diet is the key and TVAs then Abs workout, another great video of information ℹ️👍🏻🇬🇧
I have flat abs unfortunatley. I train them....but they are just flat and tall, and make it hard to see / constantly poke out. Chest up/ sholders back they are slightly visible almost always, and of course flexed etc you can tell theyre rhere, but I also have unfavorble fat storage on top of it lmao. So when I flex( in my opinion), it looks worse. I'm very slowly losing body fat, and it seems like it's taking forever. But yeah... I feel you when you say, "I don't have thick abs..."
I‘m actually a really skinny person but my belly is a bit fatter than any other thing in my body,so I think that I should maybe diet before I want my abs to be visible,do you have any recommendations to loose weight?
I have a whole channel of videos on weight/fat loss! 😉And yes, diet will be what you want to focus on. Weight training can also be helpful, if you're not doing it already.
Your level of ab muscle thickness is determine by genetics, so there's nothing you can do about that. But if you avoid stimulating muscles, they may shrink slightly. And if you lose body fat then everything looks "slimmer" overall. Are you sure that what you have is muscle thickness...and not just extra body fat in the area (this is MUCH more common)?
Well, if you can pinch it and pull it away from your body then it's fat. Not many people have thick ab muscles naturally, so.... Do you see very obvious abs muscle sections?
You mean a line in the middle? Or two obvious sections, with divisions on both sides? There’s a picture of the rectus abdominis in the video…is that the shape you’re seeing?
Thanks for watching! Is getting visible abs a goal for you? Why or why not? ⬇⬇⬇

Those are good goals. 😊 It's not necessary to get very lean...and generally not worth the sacrifice.

Nice to hear you’re enjoying my content. 😊
For me I need to get a better handle on my nutrition. My goal next May is to get my abs to show by becoming lean. :)
Nice plan! And yes, nutrition is the biggest challenge for almost everyone when it comes to getting visible abs.
