    Great advice for insulin sensitive people, but what are we insulin resistant people going to do? I am the one who gains water retention and belly fat from fruit (and other starchy carbs).

    I would have liked some clarification on the sources of energy expended on different intensities of exercise. I looked at many videos stating that medium to brisk pace walking tends to burn more body fat and higher intensity exercise or cardio tends to burn more stored glycogen in the muscle tissues. Can you elaborate?

    Just found you. Love your videos. What is your opinion on fad diets such as keto and low carb? In the past, I had success with keto, feeling tighter, smaller, less hungry...I was 97lbs (5ft tall), looked and felt great! Gained weight after I fell off.
    Recently, I tried to replicate that diet, but I keep failing...I'm wondering if it was only working because I walked a lot, had an active job and didnt eat much.
    Do you think low carb diets are any more effective than low calorie? I do feel less bloated when I'm successful (for a week)...but scale goes right back up after i slip and im not losing fat. Just curious about your opinion. Would love a video or even a response here. Thanks so much.

      Glad you're enjoying my videos! I've covered these topics in several videos. Here's one short to get you started: ruclips.net/user/shortskcPGcR7VpO0 Low carb diets also need to be low calorie in order to work. Low carb diets allow some people to manage their cravings better, so they eat fewer calories. In research, when calories are equated low carb diets are shown to be equal to traditional calorie restriction.

    Can I eat chicken liver 100gms everyday? as they are full of protein and vitamins, or will they increase cholesterol levels?

    • @IvanaChapman
      @IvanaChapman  Год назад +1

      Chicken liver is definitely high in nutrients, including protein, iron, vitamin A, and folate. As long as you don't have high cholesterol levels already, I wouldn't be concerned about cholesterol. The saturated fat intake (what impacts your cholesterol level) isn't particularly high in chicken liver. I think the main issue is with the levels of vitamin A. Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin and it can build up in your body to toxic levels. So the general recommendation is to have chicken liver 2-3 times per week. But it's best to check with your doctor.

    Do you think breastfeeding a toddler 2 year old takes up energy. What would TDEE be for a 177cm women 33 feeding a toddler that wants to lose the baby fat? Currently 95kg used to be 65kg

    • @IvanaChapman
      @IvanaChapman  Год назад

      Breastfeeding does burn some calories, but not as much for a toddler as with a newborn. It's very hard to get an estimate because it's so variable. Just find a reasonable calorie target for your height, weight and activity level (with an online calculator) and go from there.

    Im trying omad to make calori deficit. Bcs i notice im always hungry and eating like 2 serving each meal. Im trying to suppress the hunger by replacing the other meals with water and 1 caloric(?) drink i guess.
    Idk how to control my eating habits anymore. I just want to lose my belly fat. Other places are already shrinking except my belly. :(

    • @IvanaChapman
      @IvanaChapman  Год назад +2

      Even if it works initially, I'm not a fan of OMAD. It's very hard to get all the nutrients you need in one meal. Maybe try another approach that's more sustainable and still lets you get into a calorie deficit?

      I talk about a few things in the video that may help (weight training, cardio, protein, calorie counting). You didn't mention protein and I have some suggestions for that in the video. This playlist may help get you moving in the right direction: ruclips.net/p/PLzU4_bRWrTR_Q6NuW9zNS0xoUzlAm3-dA

      Unless it's a lot of creamer, it won't make that much of a difference. It's not that high in calories.
