    How sad that Abby only gave Chloe 20 minutes, and the kid still got fourth! She truly didn’t care about anyone, but Maddie and this is proof. These production notes are gold.

    As someone who danced and performed in college Nia was completely correct. I have photos of me with white legs because there are no tights my color. Or the many times I got yelled at for not doing my make up right because the garnet red color never showed up bright enough.... WELL IM BLACK... not particularly light skinned either. When I suggested using red on my eyes to mimic the same look they told me if I wasn't uniform I couldn't perform. So either way I was sat out. The one I wanted to use not approved and the one required for use not matching on my skin for obvious reasons. It's honestly the most frustrating type of experience because there's nothing you can do other than take years of your life changing your skin and that's a mental health issue of self hate at that point... which is worse.

    I really feel like this is the week that killed Paige's confidence and it was COMPLETELY avoidable! It's just heartbreaking. It's one of those moments where I'm wondering where a dance teacher is to tell her, "hey, this SUCKS! But, you know what? Sometimes stuff like this happens. Do NOT worry about your new music, YOU KNOW THIS DANCE! I want you to go out there with Lady Gaga BLASTING in your head, nail this routine like you always have, and then never ever worry about this again. You are a kid, this isn't your fault and you're going to do amazing regardless of the grownups' mistakes!"... Because that's what I did every time my students were scared about a performance and they'd always go out and hit extra hard because they KNEW someone had their back. You can breed winners with kindness, you can breed success while hyping kids up, you can hold kids accountable for their performances without giving them lifelong trauma!

I can't believe Melissa & Abby gaslighted Christi and the public into thinking Christi was just mad Chloe didn't win. u can't be happy another child has won when your child & other children were set up to fail and another guaranteed to win, even if Maddie messed up 1 solo she still had her other solo!

Abby preceded to talk to Maddie about the walkout and how she should’ve stopped Melissa basically making it maddies fault by manipulating gaslighting and crying in front Maddie in order to make her cry, which she did. Later in the episode Chloe’s solo is completed Abby then tells Kelly that Chloe’s future can’t be at the expense of Brooke and Paige, which was the “reason” for the walkout. Then tells Melissa she should know what that feels like to which Melissa says everyone make mistakes and then precedes to tell her she’s more worried about the moms then her kids and then alluded to her being the same way with men over her kids in front of both Maddie and Kenzie. I think Abby was struggling when the show came along. She knew it could be a big break but was frustrated when producers chose dysfunctional moms over competent dancers. Don’t get me wrong; the girls are great for their ages. But Abby wanted her most talented teen dancers to be showcased. The producers chose moms who really disliked Abby and had history with her. So she took out her frustrations on the kids. She decided Maddie was the star and the others were filler, and she wasn’t shy about it. The kids took the brunt of the abuse, but the producers got the drama they wanted to create a good show. These early episodes really show what life at ALDC was really like before the TV show. Kelly’s kids were ignored because of personal drama, especially after Brooke began losing interest. Abby tried to sabotage Chloe because Christi was so vocal about her dislike of Abby. Nia was ignored and type casted. Maddie was the golden child and Melissa was a snake who buddies up to Abby to get the best for her daughter. Even Kenzie was mistreated because she was constantly compared to her sister (just like Paige and Brooke) and was expected to keep up with kids 2-4 years older than her. It was so unfair to the kids.

It was supposed to be mini documentary series about the dance world and theses cute little girls who were good dancers and their mums. I will say, yes it’s unfair that Maddie got to preform two solos that she already knew, especially since Chloe had to learn hers that week. But oftentimes at a dance competition, tap dances don’t place in the overall. It’s very very very difficult to win anything with a tap solo, not impossible but extremely difficult. You can have a judges panel where none of the judges have tapped before and it can be hard to score a tap number if you don’t know tap technique well. Definitely not saying it’s fair that Maddie got two solos but it’s very unlikely she would have placed with tap anyway so I’m not surprised Abby gave her two solos. I don’t think it’s fair that she got to perform Cry against Chloe though. It would have been more fair if she had to learn a new solo and did her tap solo or if Chloe got to perform an old solo.

    • @miakirilova7255
      @miakirilova7255 2 года назад +10

      That's even worse, if you ask me. First, they had more than enough dances to perform to that competition, why give Maddie to worry about two dances.
      Second, why give Maddie two solos, when one of them is clearly a winning number, and the other might not even place? She's just taking rehearsal time from the other girls with this one.

    • @megneace5603
      @megneace5603 2 года назад +4

      @@miakirilova7255 it sounds like tap was a passion for Maddie, at least from what I have heard her say in videos and in interviews. So it's possible that number felt more like a fun dance than something to worry about. It could be that she is taking rehearsal time from the other girls, but it also wouldn't take as much rehearsal time because Maddie already knew her dances so she could run them without a coach's help. I guess what I was trying to say is that as a dancer who competed for several years, oftentimes there are more reasons to compete a number than what the show led on. It's also important to keep in mind that each dance competition is different and scores dances differently. It's possible Maddie's tap number was entered into the competition in a way where it wouldn't be scored against all the other numbers so she wouldn't have even qualified for an overall. And it's possible that her solos were entered in different categories than Chloe's were. The show makes it seem like dance competitions are scored in an easy and upfront way. In my many years of competing, every competition is very different and I have been to some of the competitions they went to on the show and based on my own personal experience, the produces make it seem a lot different than how it is in reality. They don't show 75% of the competition and how it's scored.

    Hey Mackzboss if you see this (which you probably won’t lol)but anyway I kinda noticed something weird during a dance that I don’t think you’ve talked about (or maybe it’s just me seeing it wrong)during Nia and Kendall’s duet ‘dig it’ there was a guy in the audience or at the judges table that had a creepy and menacing grin while watching it from 0:28-0:29 in the original full dance posted by lifetime or maybe I’m just over reacting and there was nothing wrong with his expression but it kinda disturbed me

    I was watching Todrick Hall’s ALDCLA advert (Ease on Down the Boulevard in the competition) and some comments were suggesting that Jojo’s part was originally intended for Mackenzie. Does anyone have thoughts/evidence as I’m curious?

    It sucks the other girls were set up to lose all the time!!! They deserved better!! Why was Maddie taking the rehearsal time if she already knew both of her dances?? It’s so sad how those girls were set up to fail!! Maddie was still competing Cry into Season 2. It sounds like Christi was on the money about sabatoge… Paige not getting new music until the day of the competition sounds about right for Abby and Melissa

      @@uniquelyvicky6391 Vicky is it I recognize your username. Why are you in the comment section calling everybody obsessed with the Ziegler’s? Just because they don’t agree with what Melissa and Abby were doing and they’re underhanded ways. it seems like you’re the one who’s obsessed with them.
