How our little badass The Expanse never got ONE SINGLE Emmy nomination for special effects, production design, editing, sound editing, or musical score is BEYOND me. Idiot Emmy voters couldn't scrape up ONE nomination for the greatest Sci-fi series of our time. Total travesty.

Agreed. The books are just as wonderful as the series. A bit different here and there. Very well written. Plus, the authors are carrying the story forward beyond the events depicted at the end of season 6.

@@D.M.S. Hasn't it already? It fails with the visuals, because LotR can only feasibly be shot in New Zealand. It failed with the story that ignores the depth and history that Tolkien created. And it fails with the actors and producers who would rather inject their ideals into the story instead of respecting the already written story...

None of you people in this thread seem to be aware that the final.three books in the series, which are what's left to adapt, take place decades after the end of the latest season. I really want the show to return,but it'll probably be a number of years before we see what the creators and writers decide. Show? Movies? New network? Who knows. Fingers crossed.
Please bring expanse season 7 I want to see the war between Laconia empire against the Underground resistance
Tiamat’s Wrath is my favorite of the series and I absolutely love the scope of the Underground’s invasion of Laconia System. So many different kinds of ships. So many different kinds of tactics. And all taking place over the matter of weeks!!

I still miss The Expanse. The space battles are unlike anything else out there, and it's such a thrill. They did such a good job of representing the books even in its differences. Still hoping we get to the see the Laconia trilogy.
The space battles are such a great example of less being more. When it’s a half dozen ships in total fighting you can see what’s going on.
If it’s 300 ships fighting it’s just a visual mess.

The Roci with the "360 no-scope" railgun shot has got to be one of the most badass things I've ever seen in a sci-fi show, except for two minutes later, when Draper does it even better.

I finished the last episode last night. What a ride it was. Easily one of the best shows I've ever seen and the best sci-fi show hands down. I loved every season and I'm very sad that we won't get a season 7 but I still have hope! Amazon please renew this show and adapt the rest of the books 🙏🙏😭 I want to see the end of this fantastic story.
Now I need more of The Expanse.

You left out the best one of all - S3 E2, The Hammerlock. Using nukes to escort a racing ship escaping the UNN on behalf of Jules Pierre Mao - brilliant battle and such a clever subversion of expectations! The whole battle to save Avasarala and Bobbie is so short but by far one of the most memorable. It was amazing, I swooned. What girl doesn't want to be rescued with swagger like that? ☺
Whilst I agree, this is all S6 stuff.
The greatest Sci-Fi I ever watched tv show or movie. And while it may be insane I consider it the best thing I ever watched period movie or tv show of any genre! Have easily watched this series tons of times and can continue to do so for years to come. I've never had the desire/ability to rewatch another tv show or movie so many times!!!

@@blex9000 Thank you for your advice, I really do appreciate it. The only problem is I've rewatched this well over ten times. I also follow multiple reactors on RUclips who cover this show. And still it's not enough. I have planned on buying the books, I want hardback! Was hoping for a special edition complete box set.
@@blex9000 I agree, I have watched all the way through 13 times now, though the first few were when only 3 seasons were out. Every time I rewatch I notice something knew, like recently I realized the scene where the black market water kid (I don’t know how to spell his name) and his uncle are stopped by a Martian patrol, and the uncle says “what will we destroy your Martian warship with? Little pebbles?”and that exact thing happened with the stealth coated rocks destroying the ships guarding the sol ring. Beautiful foreshadowing. Also just the fact that they call belters rock tossers since season 1
@ James. Yeah, I was going through some kinna withdrawal and depression when they ended the show. I couldn't sleep and I kept thinking about space and the Rocinante journey. I too have re-watch the show many x over. I've even bought the first 3 episodes on Blu Ray so that I can rewind and catch stuff I missed. The Expanse was the best thing on TV in 20yrs, it shouldn't have ended so soon.

Best Space Sci-fi Show 💙
How it disappoints me to know for the price of one season of that craptastic Lord of the Rings show, that they could have made the last three seasons of The Expanse... This show is so freaking good, and has only gotten better upon re-watching (just finished a 3rd full re-watch), that it boggles my mind they cancelled such a masterpiece of a story, and having read the books, I know it gets even better (even though that seems unlikely given the first 6 seasons great quality, but the story gets even better).
They did tie up the main Expanse story-timeline nicely by covering the first 6 books. The problem with the last 3 books is that it takes place 3 decades after the first 6 books and would be extremely hard to adapt. I don't think it was simply a monetary issue.
Elves do seem to steal the funding - Dark Matter and Killjoys were both axed and funds sent to a show about elves on a road trip that was so good that I can't remember it's name.....
100% agree, though don’t loose hope. In the books there’s a big time jump between book 6-7. All the characters are much older and more mature, even with anti-aging drugs. I think given this been such an important part of the story, they will look to do the final 3 books in 3 new seasons or potentially 3 films.
I've just finished book 9. I will sell my kidney to see the last three books adapted. That's how good it is.
Time for a full re-watch? Yes I think it is.

@@logicplague The Expanse is honestly one of the best Diverse shows ever, I mean look at the Roci's crew, look at all the cast, hell even fictional cultures get tons of showtime. The only difference is the Expanse doesn't shove it in your face and say 'look at us, we did a thing, aren't we great?!?!' and then yelling at you if you don't agree or didn't care. Diversity should be able to be appreciated, not HAVE to be appreciated. Diversity is so everyone can relate and feel like they matter, not so some multi-billion dollar corporations can virtue signal and say they did a thing. Diversity should not be noticed at all, not even if you're the one the diversity is for. The Expanse is the perfect Diverse show.

I was kinda late to the party, but I am glad I found it. Probably the greatest sci fi show I had watched. The amount of thought they gave to gravity, sold me on the whole thing.

To be fair, whoever decide to do shows at Amazon probably aren't the same as the CM of the youtube account. My guess is the CM of the account just likes the show as well, and do clips of it for the same reason we watch them...

They didn't! It's on pause because there's a big time gap in the books.
@@jennymcelligott Trust me... They canned it... It's not on "pause" or anything like that.. All the actors and all the crew has gone on to other things (Which wouldn't be possible if it wasn't taken off the air) They would have ben placed on (what in the industry is called) "stand by" and that eats up money, because you have to pay actors and crew for basically nothing. And that is A LOT of money. and Amazon is a business, so no way they would EVER agree to that.
NOTHING would make me happier, than to be wrong on this matter, and they would announce a new season tomorrow, but I'm sorry, that's just not feasible from a monetary standpoint...
Bring us Season 7, 8, and 9! Please?
Criminally underrated series. It's kinda like Blade Runner meets Firefly, but don't let that description fool you if you haven't seen it, it is most certainly its own show.
I'm left wondering though if they cut the last season (and the series) short. There seemed to be a lot of stage-setting going on Laconia that never went anywhere that we saw.

Clinton Shorter was just so spot on with each season's score. I was truly blown away by the audio he created to stand alongside these amazing scenes.

The best SciFi ever put on film and one of the best series since the turn of the century. It’s almost impossible to explain how good this series is to those who haven’t seen it. Especially if they hear SciFi and ask if it’s better than the Mandalorian… 🤦🏻♂No offense to the Star Wars franchise, but it’s Sesame Street to The Expanse’s Miami Vice.
PLZ make the rest of the books the series is one of a kind we all need a good sci-fi series that understand IRL physics I am a Big fan of the series and it is sad to have seen it go bye bye but we the viewers just ask that you continue this series WE NEED IT

A few weeks ago I started watching the series and I just finished it. I'm going to watch it again because I liked it a lot, I think it's the best science fiction series about Space. They should continue shooting with more seasons, this series has no end, it is a totally topical story. 🏆🏆

It's such a shame that the marketing of this show was so lame. And it's like the best sci-fi show ever and one of the best shows ever made. The attention to details, the VFX was just out of this world; music, storyline, dialogues, casting, costumes, sets, science - man, just everything in this show is just pure perfection. And such a commitment of all the creators - production, crew and cast!! And this is one of the few TV shows that does not treat it's viewer as a brainless popcorn eater. And Syfy, and later Amazon, did not care enough to make this show as popular as it deserves to be.
you guys had so much potential with the ring and the new worlds it offers. yall shouldve expanded upon it give us new season dedicated to holden and his crew start expoloring. or where holden starts a family and takes them out to the new worlds
Prime left us hanging when it came to the Expanse the sixth season felt rushed when there could have been a 7th 8th and 9th season to rap things up. Just way too many answered questions left up to anyones guess
That was kinda deliberate: they put in the start of the laconia arc to kinda leave it here if they wanted to make a future run but the end of S6 is a natural stopping point - there's like a 30 Yr 'jump' in the timeline to the next story from here.
Considering the battles in the last 3 books this show just needs to be rewned and finished.

They did an excellent job at 5:40 conveying the speeds that these ships fly at. The second they are hit with the railgun they stop accelerating, and they zip off the screen in half a second. Each one of those ships are basically a flying 10 story building.

They are the ones who are missing out. Millions got to know the series (and the streming service) through RUclips recommendation.
