Just bought a 2012 Buick Enclave... garage kept, 1 owner, well maintained, immaculate inside. Very comparible. More roomy than the Lexus, 3 rows, 280hp, same features. Put some bilstein shocks in it, and it rides pretty darn good now. Texas car, 0 rust. 146k miles, MPG isnt the best but for a 5000lb SUV with 3 rows... SO QUIET inside, the sound deadening is amazing. Paid 8k even.
I almost bought one. But in the end I decided I wanted a car that was a little less of a couch and a little more performance. I went with an Acura MDX and 135,000 miles later I have done scheduled maintenance and not one other thing. Still drives pretty much like new at 6 years old.
Got that 2021 Highlander Hybrid XLE. 30-33mpg, full leather, power everything, third row seating, and AWD Pretty much the best you can get all in one package. We are grateful for the decision every time we ride in it
I have a 2014 RAV4 with 76000 miles on it, and it never has any issues. Did a drain and fill on the trans at 70k and change the oil every 5k. That's it.
I'm still enjoying my 2010 Lexus RX350. Basic displays in the cockpit. No fancy screens and electronics. Put in some lowering springs from Japan, upgraded to 19 inch rims and installed 6 pot Brembos in the front. Perfect.
I have a 2022 Lexus RX450h, and this vehicle handles like a dream. With 308hp, it gives the power whenever you need it at whatever speed. I was lucky to get this one for 2022 was the last year Lexus produced a Lexus RX with a V6. Love my RX450h and so far, no issues with this vehicle and I average around 25/30 MPG. It also took a while to get used to this high tech marvel for I upgraded from a 2014 RAV4 Limited AWD with 65K miles. It’s a great car with no issues except basic maintenance, and I gave it to my wife as a daily commuter. Scotty, I surely enjoy your videos. They’re educational and humorous and keep up the great job you’re doing.
When you think 350,000 miles on a vehicle it is incredible. The circumference of Earth at the equator is about 26,000 miles. That's like it circled the globe 14 times ! That sounds like a good deal to me .
Just returned from a two week 3500 mile road trip in my 2022 RX350L V6 AWD. It is the best, Ive been driving many decades had many cars. My 2012 Lincoln Town Car was pretty nice too. The Lexus is quite, handles well, I feel very comfortable even after hours of driving. No V6 anymore 4cyl turbo only too bad.
My parents have a 2008 RX400h. Still runs, drives, and rides like new. Definitely worth the money, especially in a world where $50,000+ pickup trucks are the norm.
I was choosing between CRV, Forester and RX for a family SUV and went for Lexus, though it was pricier. Tried several others but the final list was as mentioned. Never tried GX / Toyota Prado and I kind of regret that I missed that comparison( but never regret going with Lexus!
Had no interest in a four-cylinder TwinTurbo set up so I bought the very last 2022 that came to my state. Scotty was right. One hell of a nice vehicle. 👍🏻
3.55 V6 is a legend . The same engine is equipped with Alphard . But for the sake of gasoline efficiency, the new 2.4 T under the hood of grand highlander should be reliable too.
Just leased a 2023 Highlander Hybrid Copper edition. Rides smoothly and surprisingly fast acceleration, but the best news is that I'm getting 35-40 mpg and over 700+ miles per tank of gas. It has 3 rows of seats and nearly all of the electronic features of the more expensive Lexus. It's a treat to drive and time flies as I listen to my favorite audible book on that beautiful large screen. Reason I leased is that technology is moving so fast that in three years I have the option to lease or purchase the latest and newest tech available.
People whining about the 4 cylinder turbo havent driven one. Its nothing like the old lexus. Its fast and zippy. Plus the turbo has been designed by Lexus in-house. They designed it for longevity. Unlike others using mitsubishi turbos that cause longevity issues.
The RX350 built in Cambridge Ontario is made very well. I was sceptical when I bought one because it wasn’t made in Japan. Just as good it seems so far.
Nice Lexus RX350 commercial, Scotty. I have been driving them since 2002 and have owned my current 2015 for 8 years without any problem of any type. With only 92K miles i plan to continue driving it until they take my license away. A magnificent car in every respect.
Once again, Scotty proves that Toyotas are the best and most reliable cars by nitpicking at the tiniest little things that probably weren't even flaws from Toyota while showing how little actually goes wrong with them. God bless you Scotty!
We used to have a rav 4 exactly like that one but made in Canada: a word of difference in quality : so many minor issues so made in Japan makes a difference
As an owner of a 2011 Honda CR-V, I wouldn't buy a new one with its 1.5 liter direct injection turbo CVT powertrain. You should just call it the "anti-longevity powertrain." I'm glad Honda is still retaining its naturally aspirated lineup of vehicles (Passport, Pilot and Ridgeline).
I have bought Lexus since 2001. Never had any issues. My latest is the 2020 RX 350 FSport. Given that new ones are Turbo 4 cylinders, I may have to keep this one a very long time.
Kaizen, continuous improvement. Toyota started it and the rest try to imulate it. It's the philosophy and the people behind it that do their job and take pride in it. Not a juggling company that shuts down, moves, reopens, downsizing, constant change because they don't know how to run a business.
Scotty I should have kept my 1995 Toyota Tercel with over a 100K miles given as a gift by my uncle just sitting on their driveway I had it until 2017 the only downside of it has no a/c equipped a solid car very reliable fuel efficient! Now am driving a 2023 Mazda 3 Hatchback awd turbo.
I currently have the 2010 Lexus RX350 and it's been great. Drove the new version while getting mine serviced and I enjoyed it but the visibility wasn't as good. When I compare it to the new Audi Q5 S I didn't think it handled as well. The Audi was grounded and more fun to drive.
Maybe my father bought used to not have all eyes on him and you won't have a headache from worrying about what to expect if you watched the car from a distance then buy it when you see there are no hustles expected with it's maintenance, I think turbos are for heavy duty vehicles to help the computer in managing the codes that keep the engine cool and in high performance and not for small vehicles, I heard Tesla is about to lower their prices with a lighter design, I it's a little too late I think because even rich people seem to see that electric vehicles are just to keep people from enjoying life
Hahaha to show how unhappy you can be but not knowing if he can quickly put his chip in the brain as the owner of Tesla and demonstrate how they want to be like robots with him asleep in the car while it's getting on with the journey he has programed he was to wake up at a certain time to be manually driving, I don't think there's anything like happiness there hahaha hahaha
They give us one of those when we take my wife’s GX in for service and I have to say that they are probably the finest automobile I’ve ever driven. That NA V6 makes them feel like a rocket and the interior is as nice as you can get. I would have bought one next time around but I’m out because the new redesign has a turbo engine. I’ll probably grab a new GX in the last year of the NA V8 and figure out what get after that.
New cars are made with cheap metal, cheap plastic, and computers...even on tha Lexus, when scotty shut the door you could hear how thin the metal is....
I loved my used Rav with spare in back. Till somebody smash the tire into the door. I had not had it long. Paid 16 for it and it was considered totaled so I got 16 from insurance. Had a Toyota van, a rear wheel work truck, the Rav and now a highlander 08 I bought years ago with 32 G milies and now 155 G. I'm looking at the used Rav again, after I sell this one.
I own the RX FSport version not cause I know how to drive it in sport mode or care, but because it was loaded with all the stuff and had the sound system. 🤣🤣 in all seriousness best car I've ever driven or owned. Smooth like butta.
I have this same 350 but it's 2017. The vehicle is incredible! But recently the rear wheel hub bearings went bad. It was making a roaring, growling, grinding sound. I took it to Firestone and they couldn't figure out what it was. So I went on Yt and Google and did my research and found out that these vehicles are notorious for this issue. Other than no issues and it runs like a top. 🤷🏾♂️
When you stop like that in most cars or if you have the stomp the brakes with abs they clap, which is called the pulsating brake pedal, sometimes they clunk while they do it gently or sometimes you'll just get a pulsating brake sometimes people think the brake line is loose that's just in Scotty's case with this extremely eye popping a Lexus! It sounded to me like the brakes were gently pulsating.
The hybrid system in my parents' 2008 RX is going strong. Paired with 3.3l V6 it gets 21 city and accelerates almost like a sports car. Toyota has really perfected hybrids.
After some soul searching, I've cautiously gone with a 2023 Honda CR-V Sport Hybrid. There's a lot to love about these cars. However, I have noticed a lot of release noise from the brakes, especially taking off on a hill, and a chirping when the ICE is running associated with the climate control... hoping nothing too major 1000 miles in...
@@richsweeney1115 You're correct that I have a warranty. Doesn't make it any less annoying running back and forth to the dealership. You're very incorrect that a car wouldn't have a big issue within 1000 miles.
@@micahdpt1215 99.9% of the cars and trucks dnt have major issues in 1099 miles, no company is perfect. I have a 21 Venza Limited. I laugh when they say it’s “Lexus light”. It’s a overpriced Toyota with many issues not Lexus light. Looking to move on from the Venza. I’m looking at 20 or 21 RX 350.
just bought a Honda crv an older one but very low miles , and i must say I am impressed , I had Toyotas before but Honda I think is a head and shoulder above, once I took an uber which was locus rx 450 brand new I sat in the back seat , I could feel the road and everytime he went into a pot hole i felt the impact quiet hard!! sorry I think ill but another Honda !
I'm actually considering a 2010-2015 RX 350 along with the 2015 onwards NX. I would also consider the 2nd gen 2007-2009 RX 350 or even the 2003-2006 RX 330, but that would probably need more technology retrofits & other upgrades to have the features I want & for it to have the look I want similar to the 2013 onwards RX or 2015 onwards NX. I would also make some visual & tech upgrades to any of the other models I mentioned
I’ve had the 2003-2006 RX330 unfortunately lots of things went wrong with it so we sold it, but I loved the car. It was fully loaded and comfy. I’m in a 2015 NX now and I love it even more. I recommend the RX for a family but if it’s just you and maybe one or two more people at most then then the NX has a lot of style and is a nice smaller RX
I wonder what Scotty thinks of the Honda HRVs, he always has Honda's in his top vehicles, but made in Mexico vehicles around the bottom, and the Honda HRVs are only built in Mexico.
Miss my V6 Rav 4. Only got 1 MPG less than 4 cylinder model of that year, 2009. Could beat a base Porsche Boxster of that Era in 0-60 race. Only reason I sold it was cars now a days get really good fuel mileage. Getting 38 MPG combined in a 2020 Toyota Corolla XSE with 2 Litre Engine making 179 HP. Hard to beat that.
@Rich Sweeney Indeed I did. Pretty simple math. Sold 10 year old vehicle for $6000. $23,000 saved in gas money over 10 years and no repair bills. New vehicle has 8 year bumper to bumper warranty
I need a slightly larger SUV than the RX, CRV, or RAV4. Moving up to the TX and $20k more than a Palisade just isn't affordable. The bang-for-the-buck a Palisade offers is hard to beat.
it depends on if ur buying the vehicle for a 10+ year ownership or if ur exchanging vehicles every 3/5 years if so I’d never buy a Lexus RX350 if I was changing vehicles every 3 to 5 years that RX is 50,000 grand I’d rather buy the Hyundai Palisade fully loaded for $50,000 on lease and trade it in every 3 yrs it’s more comfortable and has a lot more options for the same price
Ever woke up mad? Had a dream where I was complaining about all the safety crap in new vehicles. Lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic braking, radar cruise control, plus start/stop and cylinder deactivation! AND YOU CAN'T PERMANENTLY TURN THAT CRAP OFF! Guess I'm stuck with my car and truck, if I got a new one I'd be mad all the time.

I almost bought one. But in the end I decided I wanted a car that was a little less of a couch and a little more performance. I went with an Acura MDX and 135,000 miles later I have done scheduled maintenance and not one other thing. Still drives pretty much like new at 6 years old.
Acura MDX is a great car! My dad used to own one and we loved it
Got that 2021 Highlander Hybrid XLE.
30-33mpg, full leather, power everything, third row seating, and AWD
Pretty much the best you can get all in one package.
We are grateful for the decision every time we ride in it
I have a 2014 RAV4 with 76000 miles on it, and it never has any issues. Did a drain and fill on the trans at 70k and change the oil every 5k. That's it.
I wouldn't imagine you've had any issues with those miles
I recently bought a used (13k miles) 2020 RX350 executive package, love it. Excellent family SUV. ride comfort is awesome.
I'm still enjoying my 2010 Lexus RX350. Basic displays in the cockpit. No fancy screens and electronics. Put in some lowering springs from Japan, upgraded to 19 inch rims and installed 6 pot Brembos in the front. Perfect.
Would be nice to see a picture 👍
This car is my dream car! Do u mind if I ask how you afford it?
When you think 350,000 miles on a vehicle it is incredible. The circumference of Earth at the equator is about 26,000 miles. That's like it circled the globe 14 times ! That sounds like a good deal to me .
Just returned from a two week 3500 mile road trip in my 2022 RX350L V6 AWD. It is the best, Ive been driving many decades had many cars. My 2012 Lincoln Town Car was pretty nice too. The Lexus is quite, handles well, I feel very comfortable even after hours of driving. No V6 anymore 4cyl turbo only too bad.
I won't by the turbo ones.....
2023 Acura MDX Premium. Better traveler. However the RX does get better mph. Can't really go wrong either way imo.
Bought a base model Lexus Rx 2 years ago, last one on the lot. Best vehicle I have ever owned. Period
Good for you
This is last year's model. 2022 by the way. I'm trying to buy one but now Scotty just pumped it up.
we purchased a 2022 RX 350 ,I believe its the last of the great smooth V6s the new and improved are turbos ,4 cylinders and batteries-no thanks!!!!
I don't drive anymore, but I still enjoy watching Your Videos.
Had no interest in a four-cylinder TwinTurbo set up so I bought the very last 2022 that came to my state. Scotty was right. One hell of a nice vehicle. 👍🏻
Scotty, I saw a Toyota Celica GT on the highway today and thought you were in town at first! Cheers man. Keep up the good work with these vids.
One can only dream.
I have the 2020 with everything are the same as the one you are showing today. It is driving like a dream.
A friend of mine bought a '23 CRV hybrid and he and his wife loves it ❤️
Never own one but drove many of the RX and I gotta agreed with Scotty
Reason I leased is that technology is moving so fast that in three years I have the option to lease or purchase the latest and newest tech available.
the real problem with new tech is fixing it when your car is out of warrenty,,, with most leases it gets fixed free by the dealer or nearly free.
Hey Scotty! Thank you for answering my question on Thursday's live stream. We appreciate it!
I love my 2011 Lexus RX350. Toyota V6 all the way!
Once again, Scotty proves that Toyotas are the best and most reliable cars by nitpicking at the tiniest little things that probably weren't even flaws from Toyota while showing how little actually goes wrong with them. God bless you Scotty!
Hondas are just as good..they've both had their issues
My 2009 Honda has been trouble free for 14 years and 100k miles so far. I managed to clean up my plastic headlights with rubbing compound.
Another great info video! As always! Thank you!
They ruined the accord as well..
I had a 2006 RAV4 built in Japan with the V6. I loved it!
I have bought Lexus since 2001. Never had any issues. My latest is the 2020 RX 350 FSport. Given that new ones are Turbo 4 cylinders, I may have to keep this one a very long time.
I just purchased a 2023 NX350H and it's fantastic!
Cruzin where in the world did u find one?
Lexus actually got the ergonomic fineness and precision 👌.
Buongiorno Scotty from Nigeria 🇳🇬
The interior on that 2007 Rav4 looked brand spanking new. Major props to the owner...
This Lexus 350 is gorgeous, I would love one
Yes, in the other video Scotty said the automatic with 180 miles can go wrong. But not the manual. It can go more than this 350K miles.
Even scotty says don't buy a v8 Lexus, because the parts are ridiculously expensive
All you have to do to keep your headlights clear, is wet sand them every once in a while, and buff them
I loved my used Rav with spare in back.
We have a 2014 RX350, only 60,000 miles, but it's been flawless.
MDX all the way, man! lol love your videos, SK. keep 'em comin
I read that 2016 and 2017 were the worst years for this vehicle. Have heard that.
Sad you can no longer get a Lexus RX vehicle new with a V6 without a turbo or hybrid.
The hybrid system in my parents' 2008 RX is going strong. Paired with 3.3l V6 it gets 21 city and accelerates almost like a sports car. Toyota has really perfected hybrids.
3:25 customer silently watches Scotty toss the beauty cover of their $63k suv into the wilderness smh.
Soft grass does not a wilderness make.
Lol
Hahahaaaaa, I think the same.
You have 1000 miles...you're not going to have any big issues...and you have a warranty....so what's the problem...
But ,I mea if the dealer doesn't getut right the first time,go to another dealer.i love honda, but I wouldn't buy new car, they lose too much v vaue when you take them off the lot, and they're made with cheap meal, cheap plastic, and too many computers
We've got a 2012 Rav4. Probably the best car we've ever had! We're going to continue to take good care of it and hopefully get another one hundred thousand miles out of it...or more! 😊
What's the mileage of that car?
@@Jose-sy1jemine is a 2013 with 220k on it. Still runs great, but it's really trash on the inside and looking to upgrade just in time for my midlife crisis 😅
That RX handles like a DREAM. You're absolutely correct, DREAM sucks, handles suck... when is DREAM ever sharp and crisp? It's usually Blurry and unpredictable.
The Best SUVS To Buy, Period. : '94 Celica
Scotty really likes the steering wheel.
1995 Toyota Tercel.
Manual transmission
Manual Steering
Manual windows
Manual locks.
Made in Japan.
456.000 miles Engine and manual transmission never opened clutch replaced only once at 354.000 miles fuel pump original injectors original original AC Compresor still blowing ice and working heater never replaced one wheel bearing bushing ball joint or tie rod end. kyb struts once still getting 44MPG hwy awesome car but often overlooked even by Toyota fans due to arrogance.
Got rid of our 2021 Venza Limited with 29k because of the cable harness issues. Bought a 2021 used CPO RX350 and never looked back.
Good for you
What’s the issue with the cable? Thanks
I have a 21 Venza Limited. I laugh when they say it’s “Lexus light”. It’s a overpriced Toyota with many issues not Lexus light. Looking to move on from the Venza. I’m looking at 20 or 21 RX 350.
Reliability is the precondition for trust
just bought a Honda crv an older one but very low miles , and i must say I am impressed , I had Toyotas before but Honda I think is a head and shoulder above, once I took an uber which was locus rx 450 brand new I sat in the back seat , I could feel the road and everytime he went into a pot hole i felt the impact quiet hard!! sorry I think ill but another Honda !
I have an '02 (not a typo) GS 300. Really want an NX but there was never a V6 option. Looking at an IS.
I was considering a used NX but will probably need more room for child.
Be aware that all RXs built before 2012 use only premium fuel. I'm considering a 2012 RX 350 myself as a grocery-getter for my 75 yr old mother.
These are the best types of videos ! Keep them coming....
Yeah! Enough of Tesla, EV ' and Elon Musk's shortcomings.
2020 RX 450h f Sport Performance, heads up display. Love it.
It’s got a CD player! Cat pops up in the corner lol I choked on my coffee laughing so hard. Thanks for all the great videos Scotty.🇺🇸💜
We have our second RX350 always vying for reliability, dependability, comfortability and longevity.
Hi Scotty from Greensboro, NC. Bought my wife a used 2001 RX300, then a used 2013 RX350. Been going strong for 4 years and hope it lasts to 300k.
Got a 2004 RX330 AWD in great shape. 40,500 miles!
Sure hope Scotty continues to go and go like a Lexus. Such an infectious laughter. Made my morning!
I wonder what Scotty thinks of the Honda HRVs, he always has Honda's in his top vehicles, but made in Mexico vehicles around the bottom, and the Honda HRVs are only built in Mexico.
This thing is an insane value-holder. The value it holding is out of mind...
We can see you really love this SUV because this is the very first video you are extremely serene
LEXUS= Quality.
You bought a new car to save gas money?? And if you were going to buy a new car when you didn't need to, you should have looked at civics, too.
My ex-girlfriend RAV engine blew at over 230,000 miles a couple of weeks ago…It was a 2009. She wasn’t the first owner, she had it for a few years.
Buy a Chrysler! Don't!
Previous owner probably abuse the crap out of it.
Mine is 23 yrs old still PERFECT!💪💪
Hey Scotty are Mazda CX-5s reliable?🙂
Cover still gets the toss treatment!!
it depends on if ur buying the vehicle for a 10+ year ownership or if ur exchanging vehicles every 3/5 years if so I’d never buy a Lexus RX350 if I was changing vehicles every 3 to 5 years that RX is 50,000 grand I’d rather buy the Hyundai Palisade fully loaded for $50,000 on lease and trade it in every 3 yrs it’s more comfortable and has a lot more options for the same price
I like the older models.
They have real spare tires, and batteries you can see and easily get to.
i just bought last month ux 250h.. its very good car
Toyota Highlander and Lexus RX 350 same vehicle. I have 2006 Toyota Highlander LE. Made in Japan 🇯🇵
I really like the look of the Rave4 and might get one if I ever use up my Highlander.
Don’t get a new one. There quality has gone way down hill.
@@RRLV434 I hear you. My Highlander is an 07 and if I get a Rave4 it won't be a new one.
We all know Alexis is the best in terms of reliability. I rather buy the old one because they look so much better and feel more solid.

Hello Scotty, we love your videos in Australia.
