My mum purchased a 4400 model from Hobby Craft UK and the store wanted to charge her £15 to show her how to thread the bobbin and the same amount for other instructions. She is an experienced user but this is a new model and there is nothing better than a visual demo at 81 she is a little anxious about the newer machines. So you have saved her £15, given her some peace in how to do this and a smile so she can get on with her sewing. You explained calmly and with close-ups. Brilliant and many thanks.
8:02 Finally someone explains the loading bobbin. I cant believe I am well able to assemble barbecues, desks and work very well on computers. But the sewing machine is the most complex machine I've ever encountered
I just got a new machine having never used a sewing machine in my life. This was an incredible tutorial that absolutely saved me. Thank you so much for this.
This video is fantastic. I never thought I'd ever learn how to use my machine. My six year old helped me do it step by step and she loved it. Thanks so much :)
thank you for making this video - you were very clear with the directions and took your time to explain the process. I recently bought a basic Janome at an estate sale and with your helpful video I'm happy to say I am good to go on this machine.
Thx. I can now use our sewing machine. It was given to us two weeks ago, by World Relief, Illinois State. Therefore, I thank God for them and say Bravo to you for your powerful demonstration. May God bless you !- Jean Luc
Fantastic demonstration!!! I hadn't used my Janome New Home sewing machine in a few years. And since we moved I lost the manual. I forgot how to thread the machine. This was very to the point and helpful !
Bought the teal model of the machine you were using for granddaughter. We watched this together and away she went on it. Not bad for a 10 yr old. Your video was a very easy walk through. Much needed and appreciated.
Thankyou so much! I'm a first time sewer and I've tried so many tutorials i couldn't follow either because they went to quick, missed details, didn't cover all the bobbin positionings or were just bad image quality... but this is by far the best tutorial I've seen and made complete sense to me! Thankyou for breaking down the process appropriately and not breezing over any details aswell. The close-ups and different angle were very helpful for me too. Brilliant stuff!
Hello. I've just bought a Janome 219S. It's been years since I last used a machine! I came across your channel. You have given the instruction booklet a run for It's money! Brilliantly explained 👌. I can hop back on here when I'm ready to start threading ! 😊 Thank You so much from a very happy 'old newbie' 😂🇬🇧 AND a new subscriber!👍🏆
Thank you for the in-depth and simple to understand vid on this Janome sewing machine. Just wanted to recap on how to use as Wife and I hardly use it, since we bought it. Your vid is just what we, to start. Thank you.
I’m trying to surprise my daughter with a project she wanted to do but ran out of time. You saved me because I know very very little and you guided me in loading both of the bobbins. Very clear and calm and easy to follow. Thanks for the help!
Thank you, i am a beginner with an older Janome 2222, and it really answered a lot of questions. I had a real problem figuring out how put in the clockwise/counterclockwise bobbin thread into the bobbin case as i had 2 manuals on my 2222, one said to put it in clockwise, the other counterclockwise. I think you just gave me the answer!
Thanks so much for this! I can't find my Instruction Manual, and couldn't remember how to put the front loading bobbin in. Your video is very much appreciated!
ok this is amazing!! thank you. I got old sewing machine like this (not exactly) from my mom, it has been in my room for good months, I know nothing about sewing but watching this makes me feel I can try it. thank you so much.
Thank you this was excellent. I did it. I am back to sewing and making my clothes. I used to do back in my teens and twenties. I have not seen in a very long time. I am. back this was fantastic. I am ready to try my brand new Janine 2212. Thank you again. I used to have a singer and switched up to a Janome I like the ratings. Here I go. Thank you again. I will be following you.🌷
Thanks for this clear video. It’s been years since I used a sewing machine and especially the bobbin part had me. I’ve been able to get the machine ready thanks to you. 🎉
I honestly can't thank you enough, I nearly throw my new machine in the bin cause I just couldn't do the bottom front loader bobbon🙈🤣it's so easy after watching this❤️
Omg I just got my machine delivered today and I also wanted to throw it away because it was so stressful trying to figure it out! This video has saved both our machines haha
Fantastic - thank you x I have just bought this machine but am going through chemotherapy and am suffering with 'chemo brain' Your video/instructions are so clear and easy to understand and follow and the close up shots are fantastic for a newbie sewer like me Thank you again x
I’m in tears right now. Finally found this video because the instruction manual skips this step. I followed this exactly and it doesn’t take up the thread. Why is this so complicated? I just want to do extremely basic beginner sewing straight lines. Probably going to return the machine because of lack of instructions.
Very helpful video, thank you, but I have a silly question - how do you use the thread cutter on the 4400? It's different to my previous machine and I don't want to damage it.
Thank you for sharing! The only thing I don’t understand is how you got the red thread to come up with green tread. Like how did the red grab onto the green? My machine is Jonome sewist 709.
What did we do before RUclips and, more importantly, helpful, generous people who provide information? I started sewing in the 70's - but over the last 20 years not so much..... about 2007 my faithful old Janome gave up the ghost... I purchased a new one (albeit I had not been doing much sewing for some time but felt I could not survive without a machine taking up storage space in a cupboard). So I purchased a new machine..... I've barely used it - and had forgotten how to thread it etc. but today I dragged it out - took one look at the manual and thought..... "I can't....seriously I'm too old to try and decipher what step 6 was telling me to do with widget 8 etc." - so .....I resorted to RUclips and voilà I'm sitting here with my machine threaded and bobbin loaded (the new machine has the new needle threader / top loading bobbin instead of front loading / thread lies horizontal instead of upright.....so quite a few differences from the old machine) - so a resounding THANK YOU for having saved my time and my sanity. All I need to do now is to get sewing. 💕💕
Hello, you made an amazing video. I will buy a machine this week, but im afraid because i dont know how it works. If I pay you money, can you be my mentor for an hour to explain how everything works? And give me some advice?
Hi, the tutorial is great but I have a problem with my sewing machine. When I start sewing the thread keeps getting stuck and like all messed up. I don’t know if you’re able to help me but I would appreciate any advice on what to do.
this is late but im super new, what model is the one with the auto threading thing? my dad will buy me a sewing machine and i really like that one :p edit: nvm found it!!! its janome DC4030 pink ribbon
My sewing machine is new and sewing is a nightmare for me. My fabric bunched up and I went off the item I was sewing so part of it didn’t get sewed. I do crafts and on occasion I have to sew which is easy for everyone but me. Is my tension not right? What do you suggest I should do? Thank you 😊
My girls and I are learning to use a sewing machine for the first time. We do all the steps as you stated but when we turn the dial towards me so the needle loops the thread, the threads get tangled and doesn’t loop. Please help us solve this problem. Thank you!
thank you for your time wonderful video I've learned a lot from your channel.

Thank you for the video. I haven't used my machine in like 2-3 years. And I needed this.
I used to watch my mother sewing and you did it exactly how remembered it as a child, thank you.
