Best explanation ever on tandem axle decision making. Newmar's safety door should be an industry standard. Newmar's retention of the cab suspension is industry leading. Having a flush-out for both black & grey tanks is forward thinking too.
btw that small storage door between the tandems on the driver's side is for storage of the gravity dump hose that can be used if preferred or if the macerator pump ever failed. I carry our gravity hose as a spare too on our Class A, with the same macerator system, and never use it. Once you use the electrical pump out, and take advantage of it's distinguishing features, it will be your first choice for waste tank evacuation. Having a back-up way to evacuate those tanks is just plain being well prepared.

Newmar is a good brand and this is a nice coach. I think they should have option of Cascadia would not be interested until that happens. If they offered that I would probably order one today. I know that would be more- however, cannot see spending this much to ride in an M chassis. Yes I have ridden in a Supreme Aire.

This was an incredible video. I learned so much and I'm much more comfortable with the idea of buying a coach like this. Thank you for taking the time to go through everything. I think I can do this! It's a big rig to drive though...a little scary...

    • @Iwssales
      @Iwssales  Год назад

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you found the video helpful and informative. It's completely normal to feel a bit intimidated by the idea of driving a big rig like a coach, especially if you're new to it. However, I assure you that your fears will easily subside after your first drive.
Remember, practice makes perfect! Take your time to familiarize yourself with the controls, get comfortable behind the wheel, and gradually build up your confidence. Start with shorter trips or find an empty parking lot to practice maneuvering. With each drive, you'll become more at ease and gain the necessary skills to handle the coach smoothly.
Additionally, there are resources available such as driving courses or tutorials that can provide you with valuable tips and techniques for driving larger vehicles. Utilizing these resources can further boost your confidence and make the learning process easier.
So don't worry too much! You've already taken the first step by gaining knowledge through the video, and we believe you can do this. Just remember to take it step by step, stay focused, and enjoy the journey. Happy travels, and if you have any more questions or concerns, feel free to ask!

Hi Chuck , nice seeing you again on RUclips video… You’re very correct on the NewMar class C Supreme we very much like them except for going Boondocking you have 150gal fresh water (great) , but 60gal for grey and 40gal for black… That’s not enough holding capacity for a family you would be emptying way to much !!! That’s why we stayed with a custom fifth wheel… To be truthful with you, an custom fifth wheel is cheaper than NewMar Superme!!! Of course it’s just one person Opinion!!!

Very nice overview! I agree with others about there should be a Cascadia option. I know Renegade does it too and space is limited, however I think generator placement behind rear axle does not make sense. It seems you are sucking up all the dust and road debris the tires kick up. I think there is real value in generators being in front of the rear axles. Newmar is a superior brand and enjoyed the thorough overview!

    • @matthiasschaub9844
      @matthiasschaub9844 Год назад +1

In eight years of owning 2 Renegades on the Cascadia chassis, I never had to run the generator when going down the road. I opted for the 2nd inverter and a bigger battery bank, so you can run 1 AC on the inverter when driving, plus the cab AC keeps the coach cool. So rear placement of the generator was no issue. The only issue might be when you are boon docking and need to run the generator during the night for the ACs and your bed is very close to the generator. 😅
And yes, Newmar needs to use the new Cascadia chassis, not this 20 year old M2 cab.

Also, towing those, you just have to remove the drive shaft. Class A, you have to remove both rear axles unless your using a landoll trailer. Some say if the break down isnt engine related, you can tow it in neutral with the engine running but as a common practice its not recommended; beauty motor home

loved your in-depth coverage...byut I do have some questions
    1. Class of license required
    2. If a person does NOT have an air ticket, will your company aid in acquiring one
    3. Can you swap the microwave out for a overhead convection oven
    4. Do you have a choice of colours for the interior
    5. on the tandem axle, is it single tire in front of a single tire or is one axle a dual tire assembly
    6. I did not see the tire pressure sensor, would it be possible to include that
    7. Are these RVs available in Canada, and do they have all the same features, including the fact that Canada is on the metric system
    8. if these huge TVs are not necessary, could the spaces be fit for more storage
    9. Do you have to have the king size bed, or could you opt for a double or a queen?
    10. could the front bathroom be changed to a walking closet or additional pantry space....ie - storage for small appliances/ food stuffs etc
    11. are the windows on the sides tinted, or could the option be that they are equipped with the "auto-tinting" that they are clear of dull days, but autonmatically darken when in bright sunshine
    12. is there a "winter package"... ie... double glazed windows, double insulated flooring, extra built in insulation on the ALL the holding tanks.
    13. is there AC that can be used.
    14. instead of theatre chairs, can a small hide-a-bed be swapped in.
    15. besides the water filtration system, is there a water purification system available
    16. as for the air brake system, where are the air tanks and do they have a dumping system to prevent moisture building up in the lines.
    17. what is the type on headlights is the unit equipped with...LED high vision?
18, are there yellow fog lights available
19can the hydraulic system used for levelling also assist in raising the unit to do a tire change if necessary
these are a few of many questions I can think of.... hope you can answer some of them.
thank you again for your in-depth commentary. you do a really good job.

Maybe you can give me an answer to what I've been wondering, and that is when it comes to RVs and the onboard water, why don't they make the system so that when you're off-grid you can switch a valve that routes the gray tank water through a filter and reused in the toilets? Or just have the toilets use filtered gray tank water all the time so that it conserves water period?

What a fantastic informative walk through. Thank you. It is difficult to understand why Newmar chose probably one of the least attractive semi-truck chassis on the market to make their Super C! Granted, to many a truck is a truck, and I’m sure turning radius came into play, but that short nose with the big engine crammed in sort of cancels part of the semi-chassis advantage. Namely easy engine service access.

My 8V-71 is so easy to change fuel and oil filter they are all mounted below engine under truck. Super easy to change out. Love the DD service monitor system plus and a BIG plus, your personal CELL phone number not a record message or answering service. You TALK one on one with YOU for problem. What a wonderful 👍 Personality touch for piece of mind. One question ❓ I have can slides be retractable if say you loss power, how can you get slides in so you can at least DRIVE. Thats a question ❓ I always wondered about SLIDES. Love the BIG semi truck front, especially the access to engine compartment.

Chuck, glad to hear your no-nonsense presentation of that beauty! It's a great price for a Supreme Air!
Do you have an idea of the square footage of the rig (short of the roof, which would stay white)? I would like to personalize it with a custom business wrap, that would match our double-stacker trailer.

Hey Lynny, the coach is 40' overall length and 8.5' wide so 340 sq ft roughly. Also if it helps, its 13' 2" tall

@@Iwssales Thanks very much! Definitely my first lotto winner purchase! 🚛 It's just a little bit larger than the double stacker trailer!

Great video. Wish more RV manufacturers would consider us short people. The controls and monitors over the entry door would be very hard for me to see. Also is there any place to store a ladder so you could access the roof? Thank you for a very informative tour.

To each his own, but I would not spend that kind of money for a Super C based on an M2 medium duty truck. I would buy a Renegade.
