After having worn my 15202 jumbo extra thin 39mm for a number of years, I can say that the 202 is the perfect size for the average wrist. And the thinness let’s it hug your wrist perfectly. It’s my retirement present to myself. Lol! But I wouldn’t trade it for any other watch on the market. 😊
I think the 14790 36mm fits the average wrist the best. Looking at all the forum posts of wrist shots of the 15202 and 15400 it's clear that most people don't understand fit and porportion.
I just wish they would do this 15300ST 39mm version in a 2-tone with yellow gold (or even rose gold) like on the 15450ST 37mm version - a stunning and gorgeous watch to be sure - because the 39mm is the perfect size for the Royal Oak.
Hi Tim, Having tried this model on several times I tend to agree it wears more like a 41mm. The 15450 more or less fits and feels like a true 39mm watch. Are there any major mechanical differences between both models?
Tim you always give an excellent presentation but would it be possible to indicate in your video if the watch you're reviewing comes as a full set (inner/outer box, service history if known and all manuals/ hang tags)
Longtime subscriber and follower here. I've been following since the days you guys were in Florida and O.J. (I believe) owned the company. What's the point in emailing you directly when you have someone else respond? Happened to me when I emailed to inquire about this watch the day you posted this video. I got passed off to someone else. The day before that, I spoke to C.Q. over the phone about pricing on15300s and 15400s. He told me he'd call back in 15 minutes about the price on a 15400 that had just arrived in your HK office. I never heard back from him. Said 15400 is listed for sale on your website as a type this comment. Maybe I was naive in expecting better customer service.
Hi! I'm sorry for dropping the ball here. Could you email me directly at CQ@TheWatchbox.com ? I would love to do something special to make it up to you!
Hey Jonathan, Over here in London AP and the like have become increasingly common, albeit not as common as Rolex. In certain parts of the city you’re bound to spot a few APs on wrists of the younger crowd who live here and a hell of a lot more on tourists from the ME or Asia. No one really bothers unless you’re a watch person or are visiting a boutique. That being said you’re probably better off not wearing such flash pieces that are easily recognised in London, and I imagine many other big cities as watch’s have become a big ticket item for thieves.
I’d disagree as the laureato is less refined. The finishing just doesn’t compare, the dial has less texture as it’s stamped, and feels less substantial in hand.
Maybe not for everyone but for me that's pretty damn near perfect.

Love this watch. A little beyond my budget though. 39mm was huge for a watch in the 70s! Incredible
Probably the best AP ever made
39mm is the size for the RO. I know the jumbo is also 39mm but that’s homage piece to the original. AP should bring this model back as the standard.

Gotta have one of these in the collection, real pure quality and beautiful in any outfit
The correct three hand royal oak.

The 15450 is a 37mm I believe
@@callforatow Absolutely. Looks and fits like a 39mm in my opinion.
Excellent....after my Rolex, this one will be in my collection. Magnificent piece and color!!!
Is it just me or does this 15300 fit Tim better than the review he did on the 15202, which is also 39mm?
maybe because the 202 is thinner and thus may look larger

No pins and sleeves here PATEK! 🤣👍🏼

Hey guys for anyone who has experience wearing ap, do people in public recognize the watch or give you guys looks?
It was the one watch that is an instant conversation starter. I’ve had many strangers approach me.
City of Gentlemen did people know what the watch was or did only watch geeks approach you ?
Jonathan Urbano Great question!
Jonathan Urbano they always knew what the watch was. It’s just an unmistakable watch.

The one to have. Too bad its like 37k used😅
Beautiful 🏴
My grail
😍
I guess I could be alone in saying this, but the crown thats just a hex nut looks cheap and tacky to me.

Very good watch but I really don't like the style. Especcially the bracelet and the clasp. Ugly.
