    The reason why I prefer the 15202 is the movement. Cal. 2120 is still one of my favorite automatic movement(I'm a big fan of hand-wound movements). However, I never own any watch without a second hand. Honestly I'm not quite sure I can accept that.

      I know exactly what you mean about the emotions when you wear it. It’s a beautiful work of art and is spectacular in every way.

    I bought the white dial one to complement my PP Aquanaut. These 2 are the perfect 2 piece collection . Honestly the RO has an X-factor like no other watch IMO.
    Great review man .

    Excellent, thank you. Liked the Jumbo 15202 39mm but its lack of a second hand threw me off. Thanks for this.

    This one has just the right amount of bezel. All its later generation's bezel is tooooooooo thin.

    Hi Hafiz, I've been enjoying your videos and I'm still going through the entire AP Royal Oak range to decide which one to get first. I started with the Chrono (new design) then went to the 26320 (due to the positioning of date window, sub dials of same dimensions and monotone dial), but now I've gone to the classics of 15500 and backwards. Although the jumbo does look nice and is ultra thin, I think having a seconds hand would be beneficial to my lifestyle and after watching your videos and analysis I think the 39mm with a broader bezel (so very similar wrist overall size to the 41mms) would be the ideal Royal Oak, as you say its the same diameter as the original Royal Oak. I know there has been a trend over the past 10-20 years to have bigger watches, but I feel that this may actually scale back over the next 10-20 years. To me the 15300 looks a little more elegant than the 15400 and 15500 (of the two I prefer the 15400 due to the inclusion of automatic on the dial). So in conclusion, I'm going to try and source a steel blue dial 15300 - thanks for your videos!

    What is the signature on the top(above 12 o clock) part on the underside of the bracelet? I've always wondered this

  • @LlyleHunter

    The luster of the bracelet and case reflected from the Royal Oak is incomparable.

    Struggling with this, nice to see a review like this. I’m on the wait for 15550, but the 41m is a little larger, I tried the Chrono 26315 which was stunning but I felt quite compact. Just confuses if I should be looking at this piece / because it’s an older model but I get the appeal. The case at 39m just looks balanced- the right weight and proportions are spot on. Newer models looks thinner; which is far from the original Genta sketches I assume. Help

    • @HafizJMehmood
      @HafizJMehmood  4 года назад +1

      I personally don’t like 15500. It’s just blank and aesthetically less appealing, and lacks genta vibe. I’d take 15400 > 15300 > 15500. Above all, 15202.

    Great stuff. Could be my perfect watch. Need to try the 15450 as well but this looks right on your wrist so should be fine on me.

    • @HafizJMehmood
      @HafizJMehmood  5 лет назад +1

      39mm is just the sweet spot on Royal Oak. Hard to beat them. But for smaller wrists, agreed, 15450 is the way to go, although I don’t find 15400 as too big 😃
      Thanks so much for watching :)

    Do you think the 15300 with a black Dial have the same wrist and quality presence? I never saw that in Person ,and if i ever decide to pull the trigger on this One i Need to see It also in Black . Great video! Thanks!

      Ap15300 blue and black are quite similar in most lighting. If you have extra money. Get blue. If money is an issue. Black will do just fine. Also black has more of a sunburst effect where 15300 blue is more flat.

    Stumbled upon your channel. What a surprise! Absolutely love your contents and effort making them. Top notch! Learnt so much from your videos and def helped me to pick my next watch. One quick question on 15300 blue. Was is boutique exclusive or the blue dial became exclusive only in 15400? And is it true that once you sent the watch to APSC. They had to change the datewheel due to improvement in movement parts? I recently just got a blue 15300 with thinner and more modern numerals.

    I'm in the market for a RO, coming from a Rolex BLNR (40mm) and 36mm DateJust I think the 39mm would be perfect for me! I always loved the way my Datejust wore, it was so comfy. Can't decide between the 15400 or this 15300, first world problems eh.

    • @HafizJMehmood
      @HafizJMehmood  5 лет назад +1

      15400 does wear larger even more so that you batman. As your quote DJ36, id rather recommend you to consider 15300 or 15450 (37mm)

    I kicked myself .. about a year ago these were going for Singapore $20k and now it’s S$30-34k .. I should have jump on this a year ago .. so I ended up with a 15450 white which was also beautiful.. I’m waiting for a black 15300.. but as we all know the prices only go up and never down for these

      I’m also not a small watch person. Royal Oak 39mm is literally the only watch ever that has stayed with me even when anything below 40mm is a no go for me.
      I had OP39 and I sold it within weeks as it wore so small 🤯

      @SL huh there a new AP dealer in Atlanta. AP will only be sold in AD from now on

    • @HafizJMehmood
      @HafizJMehmood  5 лет назад +1

      AP eventually want to be Boutique exclusive brand but as of now ADs are still operating and this won’t change for another 2/3 years I believe. The trouble is that all good pieces are boutique exclusive so you can still not have them from AD, like blue 15500 or 15202. But other regular dials can still be had from ADs.

    • @phillippugh2161

      @SL fyi the prices didnt go up that much the issue is finding one of the popular models an there still is Ads left my shop in Atlanta is a Boutigue that in of it seft is not a bad thing they cant sell new higher then the msrp same as rolex ,PP, and VC

    • @HafizJMehmood
      @HafizJMehmood  5 лет назад

      SL that’s interesting. Could be some other reason. I’m based in Australia and we don’t have any AP boutique here. And all ADs are still operating and there are no upcoming plans for them to close out. That’s being said, I know in next 2/3 years, AP plan on becoming boutique only brand.
      Prices going up is really more about people inclining towards AP after Rolex are hitting ski high levels. And that’s creeping up AP prices slowly now.

      @@HafizJMehmood I think it comes down to when the contract ends with the AD. My local dealer in Spain had the agreement come to an end with Audemars Piguet and they couldn't renew it, however they can still arrange an official service.
