I own the 35mm and the 50mm from Artinson. It's just a shame that I heard about this company so late. The 35mm is the sharpest glass in my lens collection. These lenses belong in every pocket of a photographer who can take their time with taking pictures. Greetings from Germany and thanks for the information.

Agree with you that the 35mm is a great lens. I also have the 25 f/2 and while not as sharp as the 35, it's still very decent and, at least to my eyes, more of a vintage cinematic rendering of images. Also, it's practically a pancake lens and I think it's the cheapest lens you can buy for Fuji (I got mine for $59 USD, including tax). I just ordered the 17 and look forward to using it. I think the 50/1.2 will complete my TT collection:). Keep up the good work!

i love the review. i recently got my hands on a xa10 and the 35mm completed my cheap but very capable fuji setup. planning to get the 17mm next for long bike rides in the mountains

Your video was very helpful for me, I am a hobby photographer and have been trying to get inspired since the pandemic, I came across these lenses on ebay and didn't really know if they were good, you did a great job explaining and providing samples, now i feel way more excited about these.

#1 MF is fun and engaging, and once committed to it, far easier than you would think. MF for video is especially useful. #2 I have the 50MM 1.2. Build quality and IQ is excellent, regardless of the price. The nice thing about an F1.2 is if you stop down ALL the way to down F2 for increased sharpness and contrast, you still have a powerful bokeh maker.

Absolutely love the 17mm and 50mm ttartisan lenses. They work great specially with my older xe1 for that vintage look.

It’s so funny watching videos on these lenses and everyone saying the 17mm is the worst one. I film on a BMPCC4K which is M43 and the 17mm is about a 34mm equivalent. The wide focal length, the sharpness (even at f1.4), color rendering is really impressive for the price! Great review!
It is the worst one for photography, the soft corners and defects (character) make it a great option for video.

The lens was not released when I started working on this video. 23mm is a nice all-around focal.
just subbed you thanks a nice review I just bought the 17mm will give it a go like you I like small compact gear I also began with manual lenses I've got an X-T30 that I wish to use it on again a small camera due to ill health I have to try keep things compact and light as possible I have the two Fuji lenses 23mm and 35mm F2 they are both good lenses I'm after the wider field of view the 17mm offers at 26mm equivalent I'm hoping for the best from the lens for general photography I carry my lenses in my pocket for ease of use so it sounds great.......

I dont what it is with Manuel lenses, but i feel like the images are more satisfying when u get them.
I've got 3 prime lenses for fuji . 27mm 2.8 35mm f2 and 50mm f2. How are these ttartisan against fuji prime f2 and pancake 27mm lenses in quality and especially in sharpness?
The Fujifilm lenses are better when it comes to contrast, sharpness, corner sharpness and flare control.

Yes you can but they suffer from focus breathing, If you don't need to pull focus a lot you should be ok.

Hey Cris, the CA wide open is a bit bad, stop down to f4 for the best results, the LOCA wide opens is not that bad, stop down to 2.8 for better results. Thank you and sure!

the contrast in the pictures of the 17mm is just horrible. i couldn't buy that lens. the pics of the 35mm are really way better
