    Finally someone reviewing this lens showing samples that ARE NOT in the woods or their garden... Thanks!

    Wow that lens is so small compared to the 18-55 kit lens but does not sacrifice quality at all. Top notch.

    The trio of TTartisan lenses (17mm/35mm/50mm) for APS-C and MFT are all very good and cost about $100+/- each.

    Very nice review! I ordered this lens today based on my having bought the ttartisan 17mm f/1.4 a couple of weeks ago and being impressed with the physicality and optical performance of that lens.
    I already have the Fujifilm XF 35mm f/1.4, but wanted a retro manual focus for my old X-E2s to just enjoy the process of shooting old school.
    Your images make me feel like I made a good choice.

      The 17mm is really bad compared to the 35, you'll be amazed!

      Any updates on how you like the lens?

    • @albertsmith9315

      @@ihatesjws1188 I like this lens, but it has major competition in my personal arsenal. I have both the Fujifilm XF 35mm f/1.4 and f/2 lenses, both of which are great. If asked, I can't give a valid reason for buying the ttartisan model... maybe bordom. Anyhow, it was a cheap experiment.
      The lens works best for me on my X-E2s, which has a sensor that renders in an almost analog way. The lens' old school design with the earlier sensor has a nice look.
      In everyday shooting, I'm going with my XF lenses (most likely the f/1.4) on my later model XPro and X-T bodies and enjoy the autofocus and pristine look.

    Great review! Thank you for that. One question: Would you go for the f1.4 version or would you prefer the f0.95 version, if you don‘t mind spending 200 dollars?

    There's just something about cheap lenses. They remind you what the craft is really about.

    I sold all my film and fujifilm gear about 2 years ago but reciently I have been missing the process. Fuji cameras have really gotten popular and it has driven up the prices. I decited on getting an Z-T1 because I have always loved the specific version of X'Trans sensor it has. While I figure out what lenses I want to buy I ordered this TTArtisan lens to have something to throw on the camera body. You just cant go wrong with this lens. The price is low and if you work at it just a little you can get some amazing images right out of camera. great review.

      Cool, I love the x-e4, almost bought it a week ago but I already own to much gear so I am sticking with the X-T4. Its on my list of lenses to review.

    Wouldn’t a manual focus lens be a bad thing when doing street photography, and you are being quick with snapping pictures?

    • @AndreiDimaReviews
      @AndreiDimaReviews  3 месяца назад

      After a bit of practice you can focus very quickly.

      Check out “area focusing”. That makes manual lenses faster than auto lenses in some cases.

    Great review! I purchased this lens for my x-t3 and noticed a very pronounced blue cast, how did this work for you ? Is this possibly worse w/ lens sample variation ?

      Thank you! It should not have the blue cast, I think you need to send it back.

    I enjoy your videos quite a lot! I'm looking for a first 35mm prime manual e-mount lens. But there are many brands out there.. TTArtisan, 7Artisan, Peargear, Meike.. is there a winner on these budget lenses? Thank you so much!

    I've got a 35mm f2, how is this in size against the 35mm f2 ? And is the quality of the picture alot worse ? Was thinking of a daily small combo.. and I feel the 35mm f2 is just to big, i have the ttartisan 17mm f 1.8 and that is small.. do u know how this is against the 35mm 1.4?

    • @AndreiDimaReviews
      @AndreiDimaReviews  4 месяца назад

      The TTArtisan 35mm f1.4 is one of the best manual lenses you can get in my opinion. The 17mm from them is not that good. This is a pocket size lens.

    On a fujifilm x-e2, can you still use autofocus - or do all fokus have to be manual with this lens?

    Hola, sabes si la escala de distancias presentada en el objetivo coincide con la realidad? Me refiero a que si cuando enfocas a 5 metros en el objetivo, realmente enfoca a 5 metros.

    • @AndreiDimaReviews
      @AndreiDimaReviews  2 года назад +1

      Sí, coincide con la realidad, 5 metros en la lente son 5 metros en la realidad.

    How does it compare to 7a 35 0,95 or 7a 35 1,2?

    • @AndreiDimaReviews
      @AndreiDimaReviews  2 года назад +2

      Hello, the 7Artisans f0.95 is a bit sharper at f1.4 and from f2 they are the same, I never tested the 7Artisans f1.2. The 7Artisans 35mm f0.95 is heavy, the aperture ring is very easy to move and it is a bit pricey, I would buy the Fujifilm 35mm f2 XC for that money.
