It certainly is. When my father passed away in February, God was with me through everything. Comforting me, making a way, and his wonderful presence was indescribable. His funeral was not one of mourning, but of celebration and worshipping God. Although we mourned, it was also a sweet assurance of the certainty that my father would be waiting for us when we go home.
Yes! Karen is right. I lost my husband to cancer 2 years ago too and the Lord has been providing everything I need at each step. It is amazing looking back at it. We reported a drunk driver, he was arrested within 10 minutes of our call. His blood alcohol levels were so high they took him to the hospital. I was not a subscriber but saw your story. Your prayers are just as important to this family as financial help. We cannot get through some things on our own, that's when God makes everything possible. Sometime when we are in the middle of grief, hardship, or fear, we can't even find the words to pray, so your prayers are valuable. I have learned myself if I don't know what to pray, I quote Scripture like the 23rd Psalm, sometime when I don't have time (like the time a tornado was heading to my house) I just call on the name of Jesus. Lord please continue in healing this lady during recovery. The hardest thing for me to deal with while I was in law enforcement was the victims of senseless crimes. I may not know this lady personally but my heart cries for this lady.
IMO, all crimes are senseless except that they are sometimes a cry for help. Please Lord forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Amen.

Yes when ppl say time heals all that is not correct!! With time passing we have to work,pray,speak & read Gods Word,& have help!! Hi! We lost our daughter at age 26. She was hit on her way home from work on night she was hit at 110 mph by a speeding mustang, 11 years ago. I am so very sorry for everything you’ve been through and still going through. I lost my husband when he was walking with our daughter back to his car after watching a NASCAR race. He was almost to the car when a truck hit him. I had just talked to him 30 minutes prior whe he called to tell me he was heading home. My kids were 19, 11 and 9 at the time. It was so rough. My little girl is now 28 and a mommy of my 2 beautiful grandchildren! I look back and still wonder how we made it but I am pretty sure God has my Steve watching over us. Healing emotionally takes time. No one can set a time frame, everyone is different. Be gentle with youself. The loss of a spouse is difficult; the loss is more challenging than words can say. My friend made the beautiful memory quilt for my mother with my Dads clothes, it’s breathtaking and provides her with so much comfort. They were married for 56 years and still madly in love. There are many different patterns to choose from and we chose a tree of life. Each leaf came from a piece of his clothes and the border of the quilt as well. I’m happy to pass on a picture if anyone is interested for ideas. We even had our friend do a carving of their initials on the tree trunk within a heart, absolutely adorable.
For the kids, maybe a teddy bear made of dad's clothes. I made some "daddy bears" for my friend's kids when their dad died of cancer, and at first they just liked to cuddle with them, and after a while they started playing with them together with their other cuddly toys.

My husband died and I truly have no memory of the 3 months after ...and I don’t care. It took me soooooo long before I could even breathe correctly. Apologize for nothing....your grief will heal as God dictates for you , your body, your family....try to breathe....right now to hold your kids and family and to let them hold you. I had no one. Absolutely no one....and it has scarred me deeply. Please make certain that is not a scar you have, because you have support to not let that happen. My love and hugs...

I lost my husband suddenly and unexpectedly 8 years ago on Father's Day morning. It was a horrific tragedy for me and our three children but we are managing to keep moving forward and find new joys in our lives. Aside from the local grief support groups we joined I found the FB group called 'Young Christian Widows' to be a great place to find support from women walking the same path. You and your family are in my thoughts. I lost my dad when I was 19 and I spoke to my mom about you this past week. It helped us think back and talk about what we went through and times when we were brave enough to even speak about it that early on. Cry when you need to, ask help when you need to, and when you come across moments that make you smile or laugh... give yourself grace and allow yourself that happiness. He would want that for you to help you through.

You have been through something horrific my love , your husband is watching over all of you. 8 yrs ago my husband was hit head on by a very drunk driver , he was on his way home from a gig, he was actually taking the singer home . He almost died took 1.5 hr to get him out of our van they had to air lift him to St. Michael’s hospital in Toronto , Ontario Canada , thank God he survived but he had 8 surgeries coma for a week. But my dear he has to deal with many health issues. I may have not lost him but it was very close . My ❤️ heart goes out to you & the strength you have shown. Grieving never ends it just changes. Never forget how strong you are. Your husband will always be near and his energy will always guide you and give you strength no matter where you are. But that is just to add to your own strength and in your darkest hours remember how strong you are to survive such a life altering tragedy and to live for him and for your kids and for your family and friends and especially for yourself. Even just to think of ways your injuries and loss could help other just shows how strong you are. I don't know that I could conceive of how such a tragedy could help others so close to the event. Hang in there. I'm an unborn survivor of a drunk driver. 56 yrs ago. My father was killed and my mom severely injured. I was supposed to be still born but obviously wasn't. My mom didn't walk for 4 yrs but she made it and she walked right up until the day she passed away. Thankfully in her sleep

I found after I lost my husband 2 years ago to cancer, that God knows what you need at any given time and his timing is always perfect.
It certainly is. When my father passed away in February, God was with me through everything. Comforting me, making a way, and his wonderful presence was indescribable. His funeral was not one of mourning, but of celebration and worshipping God. Although we mourned, it was also a sweet assurance of the certainty that my father would be waiting for us when we go home.
Yes! Karen is right. I lost my husband to cancer 2 years ago too and the Lord has been providing everything I need at each step. It is amazing looking back at it. Your prayers are just as important to this family as financial help. We cannot get through some things on our own, that's when God makes everything possible. Sometime when we are in the middle of grief, hardship, or fear, we can't even find the words to pray, so your prayers are valuable. I have learned myself if I don't know what to pray, I quote Scripture like the 23rd Psalm, sometime when I don't have time (like the time a tornado was heading to my house) I just call on the name of Jesus. You also all lost the most important man in your lives, before you ever anticipated. That's a tough one. Tough, but not impossible to grow through and recover from. The hope is in Jesus. Knowing and staying in the center of His will for you. Persevere in faithfulness to Him. Matt knew Jesus and now he's moved to Heaven to live with Jesus. Lord please continue in healing this lady during recovery. The hardest thing for me to deal with while I was in law enforcement was the victims of senseless crimes. I may not know this lady personally but my heart cries for this lady.

I am crying with you. I haven't lost a husband but I lost my 19 year old son in a car accident. I cried for a year straight. Every day. I can't tell you that greiving gets better because I would be fibbing. I can tell you that you will cope better with time. One moment you will be good and one moment you wont. Hi! We lost our daughter at age 26. She was hit on her way home from work on night she was hit at 110 mph by a speeding mustang, 11 years ago. I am so very sorry for everything you’ve been through and still going through. I lost my husband when he was walking with our daughter back to his car after watching a NASCAR race. He was almost to the car when a truck hit him. I had just talked to him 30 minutes prior whe he called to tell me he was heading home. My kids were 19, 11 and 9 at the time. It was so rough. My little girl is now 28 and a mommy of my 2 beautiful grandchildren! I look back and still wonder how we made it but I am pretty sure God has my Steve watching over us. Consider making memory quilts for your children and yourself with pieces of your husbands clothes. Many people find these quilts to be very comforting.

My friend made the beautiful memory quilt for my mother with my Dads clothes, it’s breathtaking and provides her with so much comfort. They were married for 56 years and still madly in love. There are many different patterns to choose from and we chose a tree of life. Each leaf came from a piece of his clothes and the border of the quilt as well. I’m happy to pass on a picture if anyone is interested for ideas. We even had our friend do a carving of their initials on the tree trunk within a heart, absolutely adorable.

For the kids, maybe a teddy bear made of dad's clothes. I made some "daddy bears" for my friend's kids when their dad died of cancer, and at first they just liked to cuddle with them, and after a while they started playing with them together with their other cuddly toys.

My husband died and I truly have no memory of the 3 months after ...and I don’t care. It took me soooooo long before I could even breathe correctly. Apologize for nothing....your grief will heal as God dictates for you , your body, your family....try to breathe....right now to hold your kids and family and to let them hold you. I had no one. Absolutely no one....and it has scarred me deeply. Please make certain that is not a scar you have, because you have support to not let that happen. My love and hugs...

Pour out your feelings and thoughts to Him. Remember His word says, “ask in my name believing and it shall be given to you. But there is a catch some people can’t get past. Once that need, request or desire has been made, then Thank Him for what He will and is doing. Every time we go back and beg for what we’ve already asked for, we are saying in not so many words, “Lord, I’m not sure you heard me or that you can do what I want you too, so let me repeat it again”. I lost my husband suddenly and unexpectedly 8 years ago on Father's Day morning. It was a horrific tragedy for me and our three children but we are managing to keep moving forward and find new joys in our lives. Aside from the local grief support groups we joined I found the FB group called 'Young Christian Widows' to be a great place to find support from women walking the same path. You and your family are in my thoughts. I lost my dad when I was 19 and I spoke to my mom about you this past week. It helped us think back and talk about what we went through and times when we were brave enough to even speak about it that early on. Cry when you need to, ask help when you need to, and when you come across moments that make you smile or laugh... give yourself grace and allow yourself that happiness. He would want that for you to help you through.
It’s ok to cry, mourn, feel as raw as you need to. It’s your test turned to testimony that gives God us to see his glory through your faith end even the pain dear one. I’m praying as I type though it’s a year later. Still not ready to skip to the end in full yet.
Heather your strength and real beauty is a tremendous thing to behold.

I too lost my husband suddenly coming up on 9 years. It was his birthday this week and it is still hard. My heart still aches. Crying helps and do it when you need. Life will not be the same but eventually you will have a new normal. You are strong...look how far you have come...and your babies still have you. Praying for you and your family to recover.

As time goes by the way we miss a person, the image and memory of them gets frozen in time... and as we move on they stay frozen which is a curious process to go through...

A friend lost his family, pregnant wife, toddler girl, pre-teen daughter two years ago yesterday. He gives God praise also, and his story is so much like yours, the young man that hit them was on drugs. Continued prayers for you sweetie, may God keep you wrapped in his loving arms!

@@DD_LetTheDogsOut perhaps in your prayers. It's a hard place to get to, I've had my own perpetrators, betrayers etc, the only place that I find any sense of relief is when I place them in my prayers. Christ died for me to keep me from hell, but He also died for them, too.

You have been through something horrific my love , your husband is watching over all of you. 8 yrs ago my husband was hit head on by a very drunk driver , he was on his way home from a gig, he was actually taking the singer home . He almost died took 1.5 hr to get him out of our van they had to air lift him to St. Michael’s hospital in Toronto , Ontario Canada , thank God he survived but he had 8 surgeries coma for a week. But my dear he has to deal with many health issues. I may have not lost him but it was very close . My ❤️ heart goes out to you & the strength you have shown. Grieving never ends it just changes. We both still deal with the trauma of the crash. God Bless you & keep you close to his heart & loving arms. Never forget how strong you are. Your husband will always be near and his energy will always guide you and give you strength no matter where you are. But that is just to add to your own strength and in your darkest hours remember how strong you are to survive such a life altering tragedy and to live for him and for your kids and for your family and friends and especially for yourself. Even just to think of ways your injuries and loss could help other just shows how strong you are. I don't know that I could conceive of how such a tragedy could help others so close to the event. Much love and many wishes to your growing inner strength and your continued recovery and that of your family.
Hang in there. I'm an unborn survivor of a drunk driver. 56 yrs ago. My father was killed and my mom severely injured. I was supposed to be still born but obviously wasn't. My mom didn't walk for 4 yrs but she made it and she walked right up until the day she passed away. Thankfully in her sleep
What is an unborn survivor? Not understanding what that means. It does sound like a miracle though...Praise God!

I am going into year 5 since my husband passed. I am still adjusting to this new life without my best friend, my love, my heart. I never suffered the added tragedy of injuries suffered by your children and yourself. You show what Grace and Mercy is all about. You don't show anger only the desire to get stronger. God is with us through all trials. You are loved. You are a survivor and A True Miracle. I will continue prayers for you and your family.
