My band teacher does #14 often. He demonstrates the correct technique to it well. He also does private lessons to demonstrate that without the drums. So nice of him!
Hello this is Team Soundstream. Don't do it or else you will be in problems with your school with your parent's and they will kick you out of your house
@@hostofsoulslol I think you mean 13. We all know that everyone in the band has to practice 40 hours every day and besides, the acoustics is much better anyways. Win-win for me.
So... My band doesnt march quads due to lack of members, but we do use one pair of quads at our games /gigs. One time our quad player last year forgot his sticks so he fully marched around our track using his shoes as sticks.
I'm so glad to see our taxpayer money going toward such excellent work in the Marines these days. An interesting way to keep one's chops up!! And working hard while in the sh!ter!? Now, THAT'S dedication, Marine! Captain Butthole would be so proud if he knew!!
Honestly the most impressive ones where the front fingers, back fingers, and no thumb cause it still sounded SO CLEAN OMG just shows how much chops this man has
I’ve seen quite a few of these as an elementary general teacher. You would probably not be surprised by the weird stuff kids do when they pick up a stick.
Ya know...I think his humor about 69 is a façade, or else this video would have been "69 Weird Drumming Techniques That Actually Work." He's funny enough to have made it worth it.
The pp one caught me off guard but I always knew you were packin
LMFAO
I man has got a MONSTER DONG
THAT DONG DAMN

Gowbis that possible

ah yes, can’t wait to do number 14 at school
Nah bro, number 13.
Whenever you ask the teacher to take a bathroom break during class, that’s what you should be doing. Nothin else...

Yeah I’m really surprised normal drumming technique works
Thanks Eric! I'll be using number 14 for my 8th grade percussion ensemble!

Oh no…
I tried the pp one, but i can only reach the spock drum....😔😔
😂
Pfffft. Amateur. 🤣
i can reach each drum of the extreme tenors
Try the xylophone, it should increase performance.
Let us all give a small amount of our length for this man to reach his drums
“30 weird ways to play”
Number 1: normal
And #12
@@hostofsoulslol I think you mean 13. We all know that everyone in the band has to practice 40 hours every day and besides, the acoustics is much better anyways. Win-win for me.
and 4?
3:47 when the dna test comes back and you learn you are 50% australian
And when you’re 100% 5:20
I actually did #4 for years until I finally got a real drum teacher to tell me I was holding my sticks wrong. Thanks Jeff!
This is the most amazing blend of military(specifically the corps) and music I have ever seen. Brilliant.
So... My band doesnt march quads due to lack of members, but we do use one pair of quads at our games /gigs. One time our quad player last year forgot his sticks so he fully marched around our track using his shoes as sticks.
That poor soul's feet
when your drumline is down bad

Mom can we have Concord Blue Devils?
No! we have Concord Blue Devils at home!

The sarge prob has cameras in the bathroom to see if people are practicing or not lol
He has officially lost it.

Welcome to my Cavaliers audition
Doing permutations on drums actually is really helpful with mallet instruments and it also gives a cool sound
it’s moments like #14 when I question how you’re a marine
#16: *plays*
BD 2019: *SHOOK*
Thanks for saying that, it was so quiet I didn't even notice
i wish i thought of that lol
twosetviolin ehen someone touches the varnish on the violin: "SACRILEGIOUS"
EMCproductions: *Plays drums with shoes*
Literally reminds me of the line in high school. They all seriously tried some variation of something here. Nice! Lol
Your drum playing is so satisfying to watch man.
I tried number 14 at school and I lost my teaching license
POV: you’re not at school because of a hurricane

Texas/Louisiana anyone?
No power either
This is hilarious. I want this much free time! Really impressive playing with all the limitations.
My percussion teacher would be proud if i do number 14 on quads😂
Eric just flexing on us casually
General walks by, pauses, long eye contact, keeps walking
I’ve seen quite a few of these as an elementary general teacher. You would probably not be surprised by the weird stuff kids do when they pick up a stick.
I’m guilty of playing like the majority of those techniques when I’m alone and bored
The little smile when he did the stick trick in cuffs is my favourite part.
30 weird drumming techniques that may or may not work
Those were some clean sweeps!
This video’s actual purpose was just so Mr. Carr could flex on us
I can't be watching this during class, super funny, very pogg
love the subtle akira reference in #29.
This helps me with my PTSD knowing anything is possible
The peeper one had me laughing to hard. Reminded me of Austin Powers and Minnie Me silhouetted going over the plan.
I love how quickly this turned into a meme 😂
great, now every time I watch Blue Devils 2017 tenor solo 2nd measure, it reminds me of 3:15
Nice cover of that 2005 Cadets quad feature!
Not gonna lie, this basically described all of my drumming techniques when practicing.
Even number 14?
Yup.
#10 is just how band directors store the drumline between rehearsals. That’s not weird at all.
I can just imagine me going to the bathroom and as I walk in I see someone shitting on the toilet playing the snare drum
Dude, you absolutely brighten my day!!! Thank you!!
This man really said “normal” and killed me with talent
Ya know...I think his humor about 69 is a façade, or else this video would have been "69 Weird Drumming Techniques That Actually Work." He's funny enough to have made it worth it.
#29 The brain is slowly degrading, yet the brain is powerful enough to play as a whole band with one singular mind.
(btw, the face is perfect)
When your mom says she won't buy you new drum heads until the ones you have now break
My instructor makes us practice with all back fingers all the time
Those fuzzy handcuffs though 😂

Uhhhhh... why do you own fluffy handcuffs..?
We have to wait for 696,969
2:23 PAIN.
I really like your shirt in the video, and those drumming techniques are really cool
That elbow technique though.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ivan Pacheco: "same lick... with the elbow"
Came here to make this same comment.
2:55 shoutout to my boi crawling across the floor
4:12 haha xD
I'm more curious if he was able to get out of the "no fingers" situation by himself lol
Since I read your comment so am I
Those are some nice Innovative gong mallets you got there
Good Morning Eric!
Usmc: buys new drums worth like 15 grand
Eric:(reference whole video)
thank you for your service
Can you do more of these types of videos
Can’t wait to impress my band friends at football games with number 14
2:38 this is what all percussionists wish they could do in marching band
So my teacher passed by my phone and saw the peepee one he will never see me that same now thank you!!😂
are those fuzzy handcuffs military issued?
Yes. This has been very informative and I feel I am a better player than when I was before.
Best technique video I’ve ever seen!😂😂
5:03 and 5:27 when they ask you how to play clean singles and doubles
This guy really went to the marines for this.
7 the weird jig 2 😂
Who else in school watching this jajajajajaja loves your vids man
Loved it at the end: "The struggle is real" Another EPIC video!
14 is my favorite technique to use
Oh, honey. They need to get you guys traveling and performing again.
Number ten has every band director pissed off
When EMC can play better than you without using fingers.
EMCp was very silly back in the day :-p Well... I suppose they're still pretty silly... Just marvelous!
Thats what I would call a versatile musician
I expected the pp joke but that delivery was just perfect
I know getting that tape off of your arms must've been excruciating
Wtf did I just watch!! 😆😆😂 Loved it...
This guy could put all of these together and still play better than me
Your really talent at those tenors, wish I could join a drumline in while high school but it's covid.
Finally... someone combines TRUE MARINE corps humor with marching band.
Damn number 12's recovery!
clean beats has such a clean sound.
