  • I visited the exhibition of the late wildlife artist Rien Poortvliet. He also became very famous by capturing the lives of gnomes as well as the life of Jesus Christ. He was friends with members of the Royal Family, whom he liked to draw during our national holiday.
The last time I saw his work was at least 30 years ago. Rien Poortvliet has always been one of my sources of inspiration because he was one of the first artists to start making books about a specific theme or his own life. Very much like I love to do documenting unique events or moments in time in my sketchbook.
The artworks are so beautiful to see and with this exhibition the Noord-Veluws Museum in Nunspeet is celebrating its 10 year anniversary.
