i have a nelson precision slide and recoil rod in my glock 44. i can honestly say 15,000 rounds of a variety of ammo through this set up the gun runs flawlessly. it is my most reliable pistol in my vast .22 collection. malfunctions are a rarity and i shoot all bullet weights and brands through this rig. i am totally impressed with this pistol now. kudos to a great manufacturing company.
Finally have my 44x legacy slide on order. A metal slide is a must for aftermarket sights. I got the TTI fiber optic sights but when you go to tighten the rear sight down it digs into the polymer and lifts the sight up.
Attention G44 owners. Inspect your firing pin sleeve. Mine has several thousand rounds through it, and it has been trouble free until now. The firing pin is hammering out the slot in the sleeve, and the plastic is curling up. You can see if yours is doing this without removing the slide cover. If you do disassemble it, and have this defect, Glock will blame you for improper disassembly...
It’s like $200 for the slide, so it’s not that bad. it's a $300-$400 gun so if you see the value, and actually want to carry this around, it seems like a great option. with the 18 rd promags, this really completes the package. my dad has one of these and I kinda like it. I would prefer the taurus tx22, but with these mods, I like both the same!
Thanks. The slide in this video is the heaviest slide we made back in the day (3yrs ago). We absolutely love the G44! I currently have 8000 rounds through this g44 🤘🤘
We are running a trijicon rmr on our Nelson Precision Manufacturing Slide. We make slides that will accept trijicon rmr, holosun 407c/507c and the sig Romeo Zero and Holosun 407k/507k optics. Nelsonprecisionmfg.com
@@nelsonprecisionmfg ok thanks for quick reply. I was going to order one of your guide rods but they are out of stock. And going to order one of your slides when I get the money.
Our lightest slide, the 3rd gen EDC with an optic mounted is only .1oz - .8oz heavier than the oem Glock slide. The oem g44 slide is 4oz(no optic) Our Nelson Precision Mfg Slide is 4.1oz(with Sig Romeo Zero mounted) and 4.8oz(with Holosun 507k mounted)
Honestly, I haven’t done anything to it. They’ve just always ran really good in my g44. This video is from our gen1 slides when they had the steel breach block.
Seems like the slide is too heavy, so it works better with high velocity ammo (that produces more gases e.g. creates higher pressure within the chamber, resulting in slide's being pushed backwards harder).
Stock mine hates any .22 LR that’s marked for semi auto. SR22 same way if it’s less that 1250 they just hate life. At times the stuff hangs up my 10/22.
My 2 favorite designs are our oem style & edc. The edc is our lightest slide we offer and the oem is the heaviest....all the testing we've done, we've strictly used our oem style slide.
All that money and gadgets put into a gun and STILL it does not work. Put the stock slide on it and reshoot the attempt. This is one of Glocks mistakes and there seems to be no way to fix it.

Runs like a champ when the ammo decides to work. If you need a reviewer, I stand at that ready.

I didn't want the glock 44 because of the stock slide but this changes things...
You can also get 18rd mags now from Promag. They’re like $15 and are the same size as the 10 rd mags. Hope you find this helpful!
This is awesome!!! I will definitely be getting one of these when they come out!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@jrwright they are currently on our website for pre-order.

If/when the polymer one breaks, this will be at the top of my list! Excellent!
We look forward to getting your order. They are planned to be finished and ship by end of June should you wish to order.
read my above comment. if you decide to get their slide you surely will be impressed sir.
Great video 👌🏾 Can’t wait to grab me one of these 44’s.

Just purchase a TX 22 comes with a aluminum slide eats anything you can feed it.
This looks awesome. Do you guys do any T&E work with other channels? I’d love to review this and do some comparison videos.
Excellent product. Max reliability.

Absolutely NEED this!
This is awesome, might need one of these and also, need to get some shirts with two top pockets lol
You should definitely pick up a little spoon. Also, shirts with pockets is where its at! lol
Hllo. what kind of red dot is mounted. my G44 "refus" to work well with red dot.

The slide you are running does it have a factory guide rod or your guide rod in it? And what is the weight of your guide rod spring.
Thanks Shawn
Hi Shawn. I’m running the factory guide rod assembly in this vid. We use a 13lb spring on our guide rods.

@@shawnbateman4445 we’re trying to get the guide rods back in stock as fast as we can….hopefully have them in stock by the end of Oct.
How’s the weight with the aluminum slide? Super light with the factory one that’s for sure.

Straightforward and useful information.
Can’t get my all stock 44 to run that federal stuff.
How do you get the Remington golden bullets to work it won’t work on mine

This is your gen 3 slide there not extracting all the time I noticed Winchester the white hv 1280 fps also does it
I would love to give one of these a try!
Appreciate your honesty
What Glock should’ve done from the start.
My G44 won't cycle a round with the Federal auto match .
Hello looking into getting one maybe.
Are you guys going to produce more slides?
We sure are. Material is on the way and will be showing up mid Jan 2021. We hope to have more in stock by Feb 2021.
something looked off with the third mag
When will you guys restock? I want one!
Material is on the way. Hope to have more in stock coming 2021
Pretty cool.
Looking good!! Any eta on the slide?
they're up on our site, www.nelsonprecisionmfg.com for pre ordering now 🤘🤘

Do you still have these I really want one.?
We are currently taking pre-orders for our gen2 slides. Check em out at www.nelsonprecisionmfg.com
where can i find red dots that i can install without removing factory sights?
Currently, our slide is the only thing available for the G44 where you can run a red dot and still use your iron sights.
On the fence. What to get

Ill stick with my polymer slide..
Ah yes glock perfection, only after all you upgrade the whole firearm tho
🤫
Glock 44's are fine as they come... if you spend the money and get the proper high velocity ammo... which, kinda defeats the purpose. ;0
Glock should have did this.
10 round disappointment
Arizona ? 😂
Yep 💪
Nice, i like how the planes and back ground noise helped me figure it out 😂 so CG mountain 😂
Any 22 is garbage it's not rim fire
