U should have made that person to sign a disclaimer. That what I always did when I used to be mobile Crypton tuner

The classic "my son/husband/uncle says you done the job wrong" line from the customer.
Well get your son to do it then.

One important lesson in life is,
There’s always 3 sides to every story
    Yours, theirs and the truth

Should of made her sign ,I,ve been told this isn’t the right battery for the car ,But I want the lower amp one he has to enable me to complete my journey,And I have been made aware it will need to be changed for the correct one ,as soon as possible . I bear all responsibility for any added costs I will incur due to its use,I fully understand the implications of not using the correct battery, they have been explained to me,I understand this to be a temporary measure only, To allow me to get home, and have her sign it.

I grew up with an older generation where I learned verbal contracts were made and held but I learned the hard way the present time does not live but their word is worth more than gold. In our present time It's now a tool of manipulation of by any means.

Hence the reason gopros and/or dashcams were made. No need for a contract if either or both are in play.

You should get them to sign a disclaimer first, before fitting, saying you advised them, etc, etc
