Alex is a tremendous part of what makes the show. His deadpan delivery of some of the strangest sentences ever uttered by mankind is astounding. Taskmaster would never be the same without him.

The Hot Toothpaste Pie is definitely the best one of all the series. The hesitation, the resentment, the commitment and the disgust are so good. Even the memory of it (back in the studio) was priceless.
I love the moments when you can see on Alex's face that he knows a task has backfired on him - like right before he had to bite into the hot toothpaste pie.
Alex and the cake is my most favorite moment in the entire series. But truly, Alex is such a good sport and I still can’t imagine how he manages to keep a straight face for most of what he’s forced to do. Long may Little Alex Horne be the Taskmaster’s assistant.

I think for me it's tied for number one cry-laughing moment, Bob Mortimer writhing under Alex while screaming in a Geordie accent "I'm a sinner! I've sinned again!" had me breaking down for days afterwards!
My entire torso hurt several times while watching that clip. My throat closed up, my stomach was trying to wring itself dry, and my lungs were trying to strain themselves through my ribs.

To date, that is the first and only time I've physically gagged from seeing or hearing something. I have a pretty strong stomach even when it comes to eating weird stuff myself, but just watching him eat that almost make me puke.

Never thought i'd have a chance to be reminded of it, but, weirdly, the phrase comes up in my mind a lot when watching Alex on Taskmaster... XD

I'm confident that that task was one of, if not *the* last task of the day. Liza had been dead set on making Alex do that at some point for something and thought "It's now or never. Yeah... love... sure" That's why she runs afterwards
The craziest part of all this is how Alex is the real taskmaster... not only was he the one to start it most of the initial planning and a lot of the execution is his handiwork!
It's really hot. I saw him ROHOG recently for a special and he was wearing a colorful shirt with his arms and tattoo exposed and it was all very attractive, just the whole effect of colorful clothes and nice arms and a tattoo.
How could you leave out Rhod Gilbert's grotto task? That was hands down one of the funniest things to ever happen in the history of the world! Another one that should have been included was the one where they had to excite Alex. Rhod basically waterboarded Alex with a mixture of coffee and hot chocolate. Greg dubbed it "fairly structured torture".
You just have to admire Alex! Easily the funniest and most relaxed individual on telly. Love the way he agrees to anything and it’s never awkward! True star of the show
This is the second time they cut out the mermaid song in the Water Feature task, I swear to God whenever that episode rolls in full if the song is not there I'll write you a very strongly worded letter Alex!

The thing is... I get the DEFINITE impression that Liza Tarbuck knew, personally, from experience, that sitting bare-arsed in a cake would feel... pleasurable ?... ... WHICH I AM SO DEFINITELY HERE FOR !
Meal with ingredients starting with all the letters of the alphabet (except x): two courses: a lasagna and an elaborate serving of pancakes for dessert. For the lasagna, make a vegetable tomato sauce out of Oil, Carrots, Aubergine, Zucchini, Tomato, Salt, Pepper, Herbs, some Wine and a bit of Maple syrup. Slightly blend it and then add Quinoa pops for texture. Make what my mom taught me a bechamel is out of Unsalted butter, Flour and Vegetable stock (again salt and pepper). Layer the two sauces with Lasagna sheets and top with Gouda cheese and Basil (Basil only after baking). For the pancakes make a patter out of Flour, Eggs, Yogurt and Salt, put Maple syrup and Rum in for flavour (there is no rising agent, make them very thin). Spread Nougat creme and Jam on the pancakes, top with sliced Kiwi and Dragon fruit and serve with Ice cream. If you can think of anything that starts with an x, please tell me, but for half past 12 at night im pretty proud of this lol

In years to come, Lisa Tarbuck's cake-genious moment will be right up there amongst the most outrageous TV moments EVER.
Meal with ingredients starting with all the letters of the alphabet (except x): two courses: a lasagna and an elaborate serving of pancakes for dessert.
For the lasagna, make a vegetable tomato sauce out of Oil, Carrots, Aubergine, Zucchini, Tomato, Salt, Pepper, Herbs, some Wine and a bit of Maple syrup. Slightly blend it and then add Quinoa pops for texture. Make what my mom taught me a bechamel is out of Unsalted butter, Flour and Vegetable stock (again salt and pepper). Layer the two sauces with Lasagna sheets and top with Gouda cheese and Basil (Basil only after baking).
For the pancakes make a patter out of Flour, Eggs, Yogurt and Salt, put Maple syrup and Rum in for flavour (there is no rising agent, make them very thin). Spread Nougat creme and Jam on the pancakes, top with sliced Kiwi and Dragon fruit and serve with Ice cream.
