In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.
that's exactly how these best off should be made. Full tasks and all important reactions. No blueballs, thanks team.
Lmao. It's the "Bye Alex" that sends me off. Poor Alex.
Do best of Alex breaking next!always hilarious when things go so wrong he can’t contain himself.
Yes to this!
No to this! Then an overriding yes!
AKA the Katherine Parkinson and Bridget Christie compilation
“I’ve know mark for 20 years” gets me every time
Why
@@matthewkendrick8280 cause he didnt notice that it wasnt alex
Aww, Daisy's balloon portrait was adorable though. But fair enough, it did look more like a bobbleheaded child than Greg.
I was just thinking the same and came to comments to see if anyone agreed... Daisy's looked great! Should have been a 3. (Not more for not looking like Greg.🤷♂️)
It reminded me of Dennis the Menace.
"How am I supposed to pop the balloons look how long that took!" Is prob one of the few times Paul was genuinely smart. Otherwise you never know what he's gonna say or do
I know the task itself had nothing to do with balloons but I couldn't help but think of the Tree Wizard.
That is truly the best task including a balloon to ever have happened on this show!
Absolutely disgraceful that tree wizard wasn't included here.
What's funny is I can't even remember what the actual task was I just remember Romesh and the Tree Wizard Tree Wizard Tree Wizard.
@@marmarballz I think it was something like "create the best video in reverse" or something like that, which is why "with a clap of his hands, he creates a balloon" instead of popping it!
I maintain my opinion that Alex had put a book on morse code somewhere in the house for that first task.
It's keeping in line with his M.O.
Spare grapes in the kitchen, when the task was to get grapes, coconut water in the fridge when the task was to drink coconut water, etc.
"Is it cream" - bless her beautiful heart
When they said the taskmasters favourite toy, got to say that I was expecting one of them just to ask Alex to lie down in the frame at the end
Now if had sad "lose two and win", Al would have nailed it.
There's the book of famous Taskmaster quotes and then there are the Katherine Parkinson quotes that are just to far out there to be featured is this book: "I can't believe I actually didn't think... For a second... That I could blow up the balloons... Didn't occur to me!"
I haven't been disappointed in any candidate, including the New Year Specials, but she's definitely a Top 3 favourite.
I do not believe that anyone on this show understands what a circumference is.
Or precisely how a siphon works.
A Rob Beckett and Sara Pascoe balloon chomping contest would be epic, and scary.
I love this show with all of my heart.
Yes! 25 minutes of Taskmaster 💕
"tree wizard, tree wizard- oh my god, it's another balloon"
Daisy getting last was a huge injustice. It was a solid 2nd or 3rd at most.
Weird laugh after "Alex is shorter".
Rhod with the javelin would’ve crushed the first task
"Oh so it's like art attack"
"no it isnt"
I was waiting for someone to say "Alex, do you have a Morse Code translation?" and Alex pulling one out of his pocket.
Mud - "It's like nature's charcoal".
10/10 Sasquatch walk 1:50 !
It always bugged me how they were like "oh no Al you're in troubleee you let two balloons go :0"
and then just ... never addressed it again
Well he did pop (more than) two balloons, so he finished the task by then.
Sometimes I wonder if contestants are actually that dense or they're just acting the part. But still the best show on T.V these days.
"Alex is shorter..." *beat* "Wait a minute-"
I like the fact that cucumber is a real meaning for something else here? But the circumference is how round something is? Not how long...
Circumference of the balloon should be same as the length of cucumber. Not circumference of cucumber.
Oh no I’ve lost my balloon!
*immediately goes through puberty
But I came here to lose my balloon
I bet all the golfers enjoyed the balloon popping tasks. :-)
What’s that music playing while Al’s popping balloons?
Most music in the show is from the Horne Section, which is Alex's own band.
Music rights-wise it's an economic decision, it's cheaper and easier.
if it says "pop just two and win" by that logic you could cut out everyone popping more than two balloons and just time how long it took them to pop the first two. also by that logic it shouldn't matter that two balloons were lost since "the" in pop the balloons isn't specifically referring to all the balloons
It was taking the mickey out of Al Murray letting the two balloons fly away.
It says pop “just” two and win, if you pop more than two it’s not “just” two
“Natures charcoal”
I would have taken the first peg off and dismantle, then use the wire to pop as I ran along
Not to be like "oh I'd win taskmaster" *lays in bed eating chips* but for god's sake they had INFINITE prep time for the "pop just two and win" task I cannot forgive anyone who didn't attempt to decode the Morse. It kills me. I am deceased
A fine start to my (America-based) day!
America-based? So not actually America, but based off America? So you're Canadian?
@@HOTD108_ No, no, you silly dead disgraced ex-president. I'm based IN America, not ON America.
It’s a good start to my day too - I’m in the UK, but I woke up super late today!
@@liamsmith4017 Great retort 😂👍
Fuckin brilliant
Buckin frilliant
That’s not circumference!
9:15 Circumference of the balloons, compared to the length of a cucumber. They definitely did the cucumber part right, and I would guess they measured the circumference of the balloons, too.
@@AtomixKingg aah I missed the word “length”. That makes much more sense. I was wondering why no one complained. Thanks for the clarification!
@@ivanajuraga6746 No worries, it was a bit of a wordy task in fairness
I have a suspicion the balloon task, which would have been quite difficult to gauge even without a blindfold, was a deliberate distraction.
@@peterclarke7240 you don't say
Doesn’t say the mask has to go over your eyes
Alex wasn't there
Can someone explain why he ranked Katherine at 2? Im new to taskmaster. But everything Ive seen from him ranking things usually is common sense. Like they are either really close to what they were suppose to do or it's kinda close and super funny. But hers was the worst one so im kinda confused.
Genuinely trying to be helpful here... Maybe because she repeatedly called him "very handsome." He unabashedly DOES respond to flattery. It's part of the gamesmanship. Also, I envy you that your new to Taskmaster. I discovered it about a year ago and then just tore thru the whole series on YT.👍👍👍
@@TroubleToby3040 ty, and yeah I have noticed he responds to flattery. But usually it’s kinda close and makes sense. I know I’m over thinking it but it just seemed off and bugged me. I just found it a couple months ago. My favorite one so far was the song from dinesh and Mark. Was truly a heartwarming moment.
@@clutched010 Hey, I can only say that I have also seen scoring that was 100% inexplicable to me. Not often by any means but it has happened. I love that you mentioned that song. Genuinely thought that song was good and loved it when Mark teared up. My question is... Have you seen the Rhod Gilbert/James Acaster season yet? Magic from beginning to end. May never be topped as an entire season. I ran the risk of passing out from laughter several times.
@@clutched010 Did you mean Nish Kumar? haha Also, I'm not sure how much you've seen but Greg can actually be very temperamental at judging, it depends on how strict the rules of the tasks are; anything that is open to interpretation he will basically make random judgements haha
@@Necron00b Omg, I just watched a clip and thought they said his name Dinesh for some reason. Now I feel shitty. No clue why I thought that.
Season 9
What I would’ve done for the first task is a simple Bow and Arrow
Why wouldn't you just have Alex pop all of the balloons but one? Lol I so badly want to be a contestant in this.
Why wouldn't you wear the blindfold, but just not over your eyes???? How many times do these guys need to do these to learn better? Lol
Is there ever going to be new content or has taskmaster evolved into something more like momma's family runs?
They've uploaded series 9-12 onto this channel, but depending on your location, you may not be able to watch it (ex: USA can't)
Ok but can you please stop the contestants from letting balloons go? God knows how many sea turtles you have killed by now.
🙄
They use balloons that are biologically degradable. Next to that, they film in London... it'll take a while before they'll hurt a turtle.
