NAOSH Week 2024

Our very first workplace behavior was Get It Done. This was driven by a need for survival. The first humans had to build defenses, shelter, forage, find sources of heat or they would not survive. Their physiological needs overtook their safety needs. But we have evolved in how we work. We no longer work just to survive. So our workplace behaviors should also evolve. Especially as Occupational health & safety laws have been created and companies have developed robust safety systems. Getting it done is no longer relevant and getting it done safely is. From working just to survive to working so society can thrive.
