@@AlphaRaven101 yeah it's very frustrating. If you drop his health at the wrong time there is a chance that the "eye of the storm" animation will be stuck in an endless loop so next time it happens you won't know where you actually have to go...

That's hilarious because the AXE does exactly what the Shield did in Hades 1 and it was the best weapon in the game hands down.

Only 2 death defiances? You can get 5 brah. 3 from altar of ashes, 1 from familiar, and 1 from the Skelly keepsake. Chronos has some bs instagib mechanics in certain parts of that fight and having more death defiances is pretty much the best thing you can do for dealing with that and at least being able to learn the mechanics on each attempt.
Fams get open up randomly from what I can tell. Just gotta keep dying until they do and there are better accessories than the skelly.

You can get 6 actually there are legendary boons that give you more.
What familiar gives DD? I only ever found the frog and the cat... Both of which are meh

I dont know if they meant for it - but Hestia's boon that lets you sprint through projectiles is absolutely broken in almost all fights from what I can tell. I think Im 7 for 7 on chronos/eris fights (2 kills on chronos) - all of them I was using that boon, and/or the one with apollo that lets you resist instances of dmg.
I didnt "limittest" it yet, because it says it blocks "most" projectiles. I rly dislike that wording btw. Be clear about it and if you want some projectiles to go through have clear visualization like mark it like a "major projectile", because there are a lot that you get hit by. Ive put that in the discord, Ill see where we go in general.

The omega attack with the flame weapon can absolutely MELT, especially if you have good regen and charge speed up
i have never seen someone miss so much shit in a game. Ungodly amount of loot left behind and i'm pretty sure he completely forgot Nemesis exists. Also forgets half his attacks exist for that matter. Why bother to play if your not going to even try?
Agreed. I usually don't mind if he doesn't use a few mechanics here and there on some games, but it was REALLY bad here.

If anybody knew anything about the first game, they would've known Hades 1 was 'woke' too, but completely ignored it cause the game was amazing. But because everybody's on their 'fuck Sweet-Baby-Inc and down with DEI' phase, everyone is now suddenly surprised to see a popular indie game have diversity. There's plenty of SBI and DEI bullshit to combat, but this aint one of them. The reason Gamergate 1.0 failed is because of shit like this, where people forget what exactly they're fighting for and just use the platform to go after games/people that don't deserve it and/or be total cringelords.

the Torches are actually really good, but you have to channel long enough with them to hit harder, but the build requirements for them are pretty specific and pretty niche
First time using a weapon, only uses special and nothing else.... "This weapon sucks!" hahahaha try using all your abilities before you start saying something sucks!
Just beat last boss today after using a cheese. This is insanely harder than hades 1
The sister blades are the most OP right now, they will get nerfed, was so easy to kill chronos abusing those. Than's Axe is also insanely OP with its insanely high crit chance. But hitting for 2-3k with 1 hit on daggers is broken.
All my kills are with Artemis blades. Sometimes I don't even realize what killed Chronos because last second I checked brother still had 1/8th health :D

Casts are so good in this game. You need to learn to use it. Plus, people saying a weapon sucks don't know how to build or play it. I've killed chornos with every wep

The omega special also stacks! That is the key point, you can do i more than once and it hads more flames basically doubling the DPS. He is just not using it correctly lol

Imho, the game is harder than the first one, more enemies, more shields later on etc. and some heat events are reall bullshit ^^ (looking at you +300% dmg on first hit/encounter)

Went though the two stages of grief axe play ending at 2:27:56 First in area one "the Axe is the best" and once you reach later in you see why the slower less control can mean "The axe is the worst. It can be good with the right boons though. Like if I was playing that I'd have started with the charged special with blitz to soften them up and then gone in with the whirlwind to proc that blitz, oh and if your ever being chased use cast, don't need to charge it even. The reason some of the enemies like the banshee in the first area and the yellow guys with horns chase you is to make you need to use cast to control them.
It’s fine to call out the woke stuff while also acknowledging the good gameplay one doesn’t cancel out the other and it’s stupid to act like just because the gameplay is good the woke stuff isn’t bad.

The only reason they can get away with it is because these are white gods but if these were black or Asian characters the shit storm would have been much more immense. Chronos has so much hp. Only got one kill on him so far with Dagger omega attack build.
And he hits like 50 hp every hit. That's brutal.

The devs said they artificially buffed up Chronos's number so people wont blitz through the early access tooooo fast
with arcana upgrades and levelling up arms you get really powerful like 30 hours in. the game becomes much easier.

The story is disconnected enough, that you could start with Hades 2.
But I would recommend starting with Hades 1, so when you finished Hades 2 is more finsihed.
They can be played independently. But both of them are good. And if you start with Hades 1 you get some extra references in second one
If you care nothing about the story you can start with 2 if u want the story get the 1st one the 2 are great games and the 1st one is on a big sale right now on steam i think

I think what i dislike about how Asmon plays is most of the time he over-commits to his build. When he commits to something, nothing else exists. When he RMB build, he doesnt use anything else. Like the Axe, he dont use F, Q or RMB for that matter.

EVery build is "GOOD" but Umbra Flame sucks so hard vs ALL OTHER options.
I dont know why its should need "Poseidon" to work, it means it sucks to only want one God to work, but not others.
I got my first ever clear with the torches. Didn't even use poseidon. You just stay out of range of enemies and save dash for projectiles and cast on mobile enemies.
Specifically, I used the spider keepsake through the first area to stack armor, Hestia boon to regen magick, and Apollo boon to make attacks bigger, combined with hammer that makes the attack split after hitting the first target. Any magick regen makes it work, but Hestia is best imo because you're not going to get hit with this play style so you don't need health, and the armor stacking is the safeguard.
You have to use Melinoë aspect and use special combined with Hera, Hestia, Aphrodite and if you want mix in a little Poseidon, actually broken.

Dashing feels really stiff along Attack strings. Early Access is good but lough
Mel's dash is longer and has more s, but she can't dash 2 times in a row like Zagreus. She has the sprint instead, which you do by holding down dash after initiating a normal dash - the sprint is SUPER strong and entire boss killing builds can be built around it. A couple of movespeed boons mean you can zip around at lightning speed while shitting damage everywhere.
Dashing feels stiff bc the axe has more readying time after strikes. She literally has an aspect that counters this and makes the axe as good as regular weapon swings
@MHVideos777 I'm talking about my own experience with 2. I know that you can dash after the sprint, but I feel like Zag just felt more slippery.
How Mel dash and sprint is apparently a focus for Supergiant right now. She is definitely intended to have different feeling than Zag though, so her dash and sprint will always be different. But they promised to make it better for next patch
Matter of used to it, now i prefer this dash and sprint mechanic becuz i dont need to spam dash anymore

i personally dont agree with their race change, hestia depiction, asian hermes, etc BUT i dont care as long as the gameplay is good. At a certain point I just accept some people just dont share my view and ideology. as long as the quality of it is good (“quality” here means if in a “game” its the gameplay, if in a “movie” its the “story”, etc), then i dont care if its woke.
and for people that say “well asmon shits on cleopatra race swap without watching the movie” well. the “quality” of a “documentary” isnt in “writing” but in “accuracy”. thats why it deserves to be shit on.
Hades on the other hand is a Fanfic of greek myth. both Hades 1 and 2. its not like in the real myth theres a story where Zagreus try to escape from tartarus all the way to surface 10 times to bring back his mother. its not like theres a story where Chronos is revived and sit on Hades’s throne in greek mythology. its a fanfic so be free and do whatever you want.

There are two "Final Bosses" so far.
There's Chronos, the main story Boss, and then there's the unfinished Surface/Olympus boss atm, Eris (she isn't the final-final on the surface boss, but the game's surface area is locked at her atm as the final fight in the surface).
Though there could be a lot more.

I'm guessing the devs are woke. They come off that way in interviews. Its not a big deal imho. Having said that these games are over-rated. I refunded Hades 2 its not different enough from the original. The art and presentation is cool but gameplay-wise there are much better roguelites.
Supergiant games were never woke. Their games are actually good result of something being left but without over the top and wokeish

For me, melee just feels so horrible to play in Hades 2. Too much risk, too little reward compared to just using omega casts from far away which can do even more dmg anw
I think they have the health pools tuned a little too high. This is still not the final release and things will be balanced as it goes.
It is early access. There is probably going to be a lot of re-balancing before the final release.

Dont agree, aphrodite raw damage boosts for specials and attacks are insane, demeter is good cc with freeze and can buff your aphrodite omega attacks even more. Apollo is just good utility and can give you double attacks for basic attacks, hepheatus is for durability, don't really like his attack/special boons tho

Tbf, in the Greek Mythos, it was at some point Hera literally pushed Hephaestus off from Mount Olympus to the ground, and judging from the context, I doubt Hephaestus would be fine after falling from such height ☠️

So Hephaestus on a wheelchair is not even far fetched, though sure a different way to depict him, it's not as far fetched as you think it is.
