@@DurkenGaming Balance equals to fun in competitive games. You never want to have an OP option in those. Especially when only 1 can pick it and you are _not_ it. So, it all depends on the type of a game. It's fun to exploit the system only when this can't be turned against you.
Sadly this game fails at it. The time and necro is so broken you atto win going anything else is troll so yeah it can be and bad boring to have an unbalanced game.

This game is sick af. The only thing sometimes these games miss is that combine skill thing that only some games have. So u max 2 skills and u can combine for a unique ass skill. Thats always fun af

@@Aboleo80 yea you can beat highest difficulty (at the moment) and get a full set of red equip for each character in 2-3 days worth of playing.
This game is so good. The devs need to hire 10 more artists and programmers and crank out a full campaign.
Imagine if this had quests ans stuff, and a coop mode. Asmon would go warrior and someone else would heal.

Music is on point, game look is retro as heck but in a modern way, I love that. I even kinda like the animations, even tho they might feel a bit off, specially on the assassin xD. Fun to see Asmon play these type of games every now and then.
Kront is so strong. If you armormax on him and then get the sigil to convert each point of armor into 1.2% attack damage you can run around critting for 1000. I just started playing yesterday too. I can only imagine how crazy it gets when you've got all red gear.
thats like big dmg but then very squishy like really need lady justice or just get one tapped at D30
in D30 it's almost impossible to play with this sigil or you need 200/300 hp with justice because you'll get one shot by dracula, in D0-D15 i agree though it's really good.

Having played the game for a few hours now, it is really well done also considering that it is still in early access. The characters, art, animations, voice acting, sound design and skills are all already really nice.

PLS TRY ONE THING take the WICH which has a ranged attack and try to get all the 3 TIME UPGRADES, the one which gives u faster attack per xp orb, the one which lets your attack spawn xp orbs out of the mobs and the one which gives you more range to get xp orbs and try to get per equipment +1,5k xp orb range

Playing Merris with summoner sign, onyx dragon from relic, skeletal army from amulet, raven and necro from mort, and getting expert/mastier tier *the summoner* in 7 or 8 mins is absolutely a blast.
Pro tips, if you want to become better at this game:
1. Summer is fucking garbage, skip her as much, as possible. If you don’t have alterations, just ban all three skills when you first see a god you don’t like, usually it removes them completely, tho, you still might get screwed and get it offered again with like one option
2. Time + Mort is possibly one of the strongest duos, especially if you spec into summons or exp gain, it’s INCREDIBLY synergystic. Soulstealers + Mayhem + Summoner = infinite damage. Avoid Vortex at all costs, tho, it’s terrible
3. Try to complete hero challenges asap, but remember, that you can choose only one special perk at a bonfire. Some of perks are absolutely busted, for example Skadi’s +1 random ability level every two levels

his last run which completed the game is like every single manwha about players becoming OP through a necromancer build.
This game looks awesome I like that the enemies wind up their attack instead of instantly hitting you on contact. Gives an extra way to strategize your movement.
Asmon's thought line: Faster movement makes me faster but I'm just going to leave auto attack on. It will make me faster!
Me: that's not how it works!!!! It makes your movement faster but your attack still heavily slows you. You don't go faster!!!!
Love watching asmongold play but that really frustrates me with him.
I 100% halls of torment now after watching asmong's video, and started playing holocure (about half way of unlocking all the characters and about 80% on all the achievements), now this game is on my list.

The reason everyone was telling you to turn off auto-attack for the Warrior girl is because whenever she attacks it slows down her movement speed.
it does that for every character, keeping auto attack on is effectively cutting your speed in half.

They should get rid of alteration dice or make them expendable. Its just too easy to take death+time each run and spam life drain for a free win.
Just got done with a 5 hour session of this game… it’s way too much fun.
Biggest recommendation is to run around because there are some crazy buffs that you can get. Most of my runs are just running around and grabbing buffs and killing stuff as I go.

Saw this stream, bought this game as I saw it. Played the Knight, got the Malady Legendary power which spreads all status effects to enemies around the ones I just killed. Thought I'd surely win. Died at like 16:37.
Stayed up way too long than I should have. Finished the whole map with the Knight. The game is great. Faster paced than Vampire Survivors, with more decision making on player part - you not only choose the build, but also the gear, moreover, apart from those decisions you decide when to attack and when to dash - those gameplay elements deepen the gameplay considerably.
I am looking forward to seeing this title get developed further. Great game to have for Christmas, I know I'll be playing it on ym laptop at my parents' place.
This man is a legend, i had severe depression a few years back and watching asmon has made me better. Thanks zack!
same, I feel this world is getting derailed and listening to asmongold bringing based wisdom through clarity and basic observations helps offset that feeling I get that the world is a lost place. Sometimes I feel alone and alienated and I get joy out of the simplicity what asmongold stands for.

It's never worth it to take the exp boosters in these games btw. The exp curves are basically such that you will reach a certain level at roughly the same time every run, and the levels *after* that get massively harder to attain, such that +100% exp might only get you one or two levels. So you're not actually gaining anything. Just take more fun stuff instead. Mo idea why Devs insist on adding +exp when they design the games in these manner.
Also, the more things you kill, the more enemies that spawn for you to kill and drop exp anyway. Doing more damage is always better than +exp.

It’s actually good but annoying. He misses things he needs and doesn’t really understand the buffs and how much they help.

I feel like these games are taking a step backwards from where Vampire Survivors has gone. The whole affinity item and Gacha system is what makes VS really addictive these games are just VS/Diablo hybrids

Im not usually a backseat gamer but... holy crap so many wrong decisions were made xD incineration and combust are SO powerful if you have an easy burning application. And almost always pick a higher tier skill if it shows up. It's always gonna be that tier from then on.

I knew it was just a matter of time till he played it. It's an amazing game, a bit way too random on the powers and gods pool per run but I still love it.
i felt the exact same. wanted a specific god for a run but never got em.
@@bllllllllackbirdie i felt more alteration rerolls was the best power on an item. With 6-8 alteration rolls you can get your gods easy. Just restart run if you didn't get the gods you want inside the alteration rolls.
couple of pro tips for those of you that are gonna check it out;
you can use frozen treasure from the winter god to get a loot multiplier on bosses, dracula spawns 3 mythics ive had him spawn up to 11 :p
you cant take in extra items to hotswap into to change around your bonuses, but you CAN hotswap gear you find on the run, use all your banish dice? equip that shit amulet u found that gives +2 banish, use the banishes then switch back :p
wisdom is 100% useless, you will spend more level upgrades getting the wisdom than you will gain from it
with no modifiers you can hit lvl 30 by the end boss
with fully maxxed wisdom (takes 5 levels if you start at common) (+70% xp gain)
gear bonuses (totaling +30% xp gain)
and the world buff that grants +111% xp gain
AND the optimal xp loadout (gem high, force and warped strike from time, soulstealers and execution from death)
you can hit a whopping lvl 42 (with no wisdom u can still hit 40 with the other bonuses)
youre better off looking for gear with xp bonuses and spending the 5 levels you would have spent on wisdom on actual levels
Pixel art done right always looks gorgeous
Pixel art games are great. Got really into them, myself, as of late. I'd highly recommend The Last Faith if you're into metroidvania souls-likes. Devs took heavy inspiration from Bloodborne and it's actually inspiration done right.
If you want some amazing looking pixle art games I’d recommend snk games like king of fighters and metal slug,

I randomly bought this a little while ago and it is probably the best game of this style I have played. I like how you can manually attack when you want to move faster. And the gear system is great.
The base game seems great. I had to start playing it after seeing Asm play. He was annoying me ya know.
It is fun. The cool thing about these games is there is so much a dev can add on with each update.

Why people suggest Consecration lvl 2 ---> only upgrade the damage % from 630% to 1000%..... saying it's good for bosses.
Okay let's calculate :
boss does 30 damage to you --> You deal them 300 damage in return.... whaw, you just gained 1 auto-attack.
You can do it 3 times per boss, because you have 90 health

your buggest mistake is getting a bunch of stuff that isnt compatible with other perks. like you'll get combust but no attacks that light enemies on fire. gotta get upgrades that collaborate with other upgrades
I picked this game up a couple days ago as well. The only current issues i have with it is that some skills might as well be useless compared to others, and theres an uneven balance of melee/ranged characters.
Both of these are things that im sure they'll address very soon, so its othetwise an awesome game.
It is at a very basic level but the potential to just keep doing runs and expand all the systems is there.
I disagree, every character is honestly equally as good, it's just that range characters are ''safer''. The only uneven balance is in the Gods, it's currently Time and Mort, and then you win if you don't let yourself get caught by bosses. The only reason to use other gods is if you have no alterations or you have a specific gear build.
The ranged character is not the same as the others. Either she picks up XP from all the map and runs in a straight line. Or has homing attack and runs in a straight line. I can win with her 50x in a row, but with lots of others its hard...@@sirnunyabuiz6529
The time god is meta. Also, what you 100% need is to turn off the auto attack unless you're fighting those oozes.
Death Must Die is a roguelite RPG bullet heaven in which you play as the heroes trying to defeat Death.
The only bad thing about this game is there are only 3 bosses and no other map, at least for now. I unlocked 5 characters so far, better cards (adept-expert- legend- master level with higher stats) and some great gear. I wish the developers will bring something new to the table and btw.. is so damn addictive, I played for half a day all thanks to you Asmon, I wouldn't have known about this game otherwise

@@gileadgaming6203 no... I need that actually for Nixi achievement. I just bought and also dropped some of the better gear. You can use Crux to increase difficulty and have a better chance at dropping better gear. At 7 crux points and some luck buffs that you find around the map can increase the quality of drops from elites and bosses. Start with 3 points and increase once you get better and find your spells combo

With that you kill enemys with curse so your mayhem can stack. with each kill from curse you deal more dmg. Sorry if my english is bad 😅

I got this game after watching the first video. I love seeing the game look at Asmon and say "How can we help you win today?!" On his boon RNG. Meanwhile when I play I get Winter, winter, winter, winter, winter, winter, and more winter. I hate the ice moves but it seriously hard locks me into her boons when I play. Oh well at least I can watch Asmon play it since it screws me over.

you have to combine ice either with spells or attack focus on that "more dmg to immobilized enemies" blessing. Also get items with rerolls. @@haroutyun396
@@dudebruh8534 I don't think so. I think it mostly depends on how you play and what your build is. Krom has legit boons but ice? It's just CC with no dots and when you are almost constantly swarmed it's purely useless. Only one I like is Ice Ring. But I can do 5 runs and 3 of those will be every boon being Winter and the other two will be winter with a few others. Super annoying and frustrating. Not sure if it's just a glitch since it is in early access or not but I seriously hope it gets fixed since I do love the game. Made it to Dracula once and died. Really want to beat it.
You need to use Alteration to roll a new god. You only get like 3 gods per run, so if you select one of her boons, you'll continue to get a bunch of them. Don't choose her boon and don't suffer.
I can see exactly why the game doesn't give regen. Its because the moment it does the player can become very broken and try to do what Asmongold did even at the taste of it. Such a broken mechanic of scaling. However, the Cursed Damage Upgrades are magnafic!
path of exile look strange
When I unlocked the Orc. I defeated Dracula that same run. That's how insanely good the Orc was. Unlike the other classes i had a bit of trouble lol. Went crit, regen, blades, shurikens, mort dmg with summons and curses. godlike lol. afk build.

the build of the orc was almost perfect, all you need was knock back, than you could get then out of you and would give you time to kill even with the shields, the chains was the right decision but the damage was to much, if you had change 3 choices for knockback you would not have died there.

Jesus christ! There are way better pixel retro games then this nonsense. Steam is full of excellent retro-games that gives you that warm feeling. This genre is an insult to Arpg´s and an insult to gaming.

My top 2 favorite runs that beat max heat are 400% luck Nixxi (chain lightning and soulstealers) and double dragon summoner Merris (black dragon summon on relic and staff). I hope they add more content soon, the base gameplay is very fun and shows a lot of promise.

This game is... inspiring. Vampire survivors was impressive for how much fun it was despite its simple concept, Death must Die is impressive for pushing the concept to the next level.

Bro a good part of it is exactly like hades. The boons , the way it pops , the fact that gods you encounter become boons, the way gods talk , the aesthetic , the theme and concept of the game. the double dash, the dash upgrades etc There is A LOT that was inspired by hades in this game. dont even fucking try.
this man has passed flare, easily one of the BEST spells in the game, more than 100 times just in the youtube cuts.

I bought this game after watching Asmon's first video of this.
I don't know how good this idea is, but I try to use my rerolls asap aiming for a high rarity power as early as possible.
Also, I can see that there is a lot of both skill and luck involved in this game. I'm loving it !
think the thing that lets you reroll gods are more important, seem to be limited to 3 gods+ faith ones.
rerolling skills if you got a decent chance to get red ones is probably pretty good, but you can sometimes upgrade rank skills to the tier before red.
i like having some item with increased chance to level up skills and trying to focus on few skills of each gods, few gods might be good with a few points in lot of skills though, but game doesn't always give you the ones you want.
Don't sleep on Skadi, she's better used if you control her swings. Turn off auto aim.
Asmongold on the third hour of the game still hasn't figured out characters have incredibly powerful perks that are unlocked through achievements, it's painful to watch. :D

Same way he always routes for the death of those who don't play WoW right when watching HC clips, I routed for him to die on that last build. Even on standard difficulty, I hate seeing him vindicated by winning when he still objectively has no idea how the game mechanics work or takes the time to really comprehend the abilities and how they synergize together. Oh well, he'll eventually HAVE to get better and understand all this or he won't be able to unlock everything, that's for sure. And yes, we *_do_* think you're stupid.. at least when you play games. It's crazy how someone so intelligent can regress into such a know-nothing when it comes to playing games. It's like he forgets the meaning of words, and always has some kind of excuse as to why. Like "I'm jittery.." or "I get too nervous". For someone who is always talking about how awesome he is at games, how right he is about everything, and his statement of "winners win" ..does getting nervous and jittery and on edge in a *_legitimately_* stressful way.. over playing a video game ..sound like winner-type behavior? It, in fact, does not.

I don't know, but somehow every Vampire Survivor like game feels unbalanced. Either you have the worst character and/or the worst items or you are so strong that you no longer have to play yourself and the game plays itself. Every one of these games is the same. You don't have to be a good player, you just need the right character and the right items and then the game will take care of the game itself. And even though this is bad game design, these games are celebrated hard.^^
Compared to halls of torment, it's not as complete, but imo much more fun
Man stays dashing right into the middle of mobs and wonders why he keeps dying.
