Maybe you might know. I'm brand new to Wow, playing SoD and now Cata classic. Wtf is happening in like 5 years? Are we eventually going to merge with retail? Or are we just gonna start back over at TBC?
@1x1nDone Personally see them either skipping or speedrunning unfavorable expansions until they stop on a well accepted one? I don't think people want to play WoD, BFA, or SL classic. Could halt on MoP or Legion. Preferably MoP: better overall package imo.
MOP was my first wow experience. I’d finished college and had finally a job so I could buy the game and pay the monthly sub. 12 years later I’m about to propose to the love of my life and still playing MoP.
Before I start the video, I only been playing WoW for 3 years. Love the game so far(retail and classic). Now I also never played the Panda expansion or any of the story.... this remix event has me HOOKED. Why players hate the panda expansion? This place is so beautiful and the music... wow! Anyways back to the video 😂
People didn't like the premise of the expansion more than the execution. They thought that "pandas are stupid and furry bait." Nowadays, MoP is often looked back upon as one of the best expansions they ever made: almost the whole package was great, and the class/spec design really stood out as arguably the best of all time. Personally, it's what I consider the best expansion. I'll admit I'm a Legion hater, but I'd still consider MoP the best expansion regardless.
Most "new" MMOs seem to be rehashing the old MMO style anyway so it seems destined to be a dying genre, or at least a stagnant one. The age of the big MMO has passed... they're hard to make and just don't have the same appeal that they used to. But like the other commenter said, I have fun going back to play older MMOs like Lord of the Rings Online and City of Heroes again, most of which are still getting updated at least in small ways.
No way Asmon said that his reddit had more people online than the WoW sub at the moment and therefore WoW isn't popular when the sub averages 2k online and his subreddit averages 230
MoP is when the storytelling started to mature. Zack hates emotional depth. I agree the game needs way more testosterone than it currently has - Dragonflight was a tragedy for the tone of the game - but it’s okay to have reflect and have calm, introspective moments.

I would get those little pop up ads like on facebook I think, the click to play ads for WoW, and I ignored them for a long time. But then I found out the game I wanted got delayed and I was getting impatient and bored and that little WoW ad kept taunting me every time I went on fb, so one day I finally clicked it. I figured eh I’ll just check it out for a short time to fill in til my other game gets released. Now here I am still playing 12 years later lol. Some veteran player basically took me under their wing and taught me how to play, guiding me through the game explaining everything. Not only how to play but lots of the lore, it was like having a WoW tour guide for my first few weeks of playing. Fond memories, I wonder if that guy still plays.
Hi Asmon, the missing titles are probably because some of those are character specific. Grand Marshal it says, "A character-specific Alliance title. Rewarded from an achievement. In the PvP Titles category. Added in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm." so I guess whatever character probably your main that you had played in Cataclysm should still have it unless there's a weird add-on glitch with your interface I saw you had some trouble with that too.
Last time I relapsed into retail, MOP was my first choice in leveling. I don’t know it if is the most efficient solo level experience, but the quests felt well placed and kind of interesting. Also one of the better areas in the game as far as aesthetics
23:00 I heartily disagree. Why demand double dipping? If they're going to re-release content, why not demand the expansions that flopped in a revised and improved state, instead? That's the only way for these to be respectable offers, I say.

Try and see for yourself what YOU think. There's a free trial. Only you can deem what is a waste of your time or not. You don't have to lead people to be a leader. Just lead yourself, don't follow
Yes it’s fun. They just all old people and angry that the ice cream don’t taste same way when they where 14 years old and everything was new and big. I play now for 6 months and it’s really fun. For this event you only need the normal membership and to download retail wow. Try it out.
My problem with a complete reset is I don't want to lose all the shit I've earned over the years. All the mounts/pets/toys/mogs etc. If they can do a "reset" without me losing that, then fine.
I agree with Asmon that Transmog shouldn't exist. I wish you could "archive" gear and be able to pull it out and wear it whenever you want, but it has no stats, and takes no bank space.
MoP was my favourite release ^^ 30 minutes of lag trying to get my herb/mining up, then swam around the continent to the end zone and farmed there for 2 days alone almost when people levelled and selling 20 ores/herbs for 30-60k 😂 the lotus one for 25k 😂 repair bill was high since mobs killed me easily but thank goodness for Paladin’s bubble 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I think most people expected MoP everything. Personally it being retail gameplay kinda killed my interest. But hey maybe that means MoP classic will happen. MoP class design is still peak. As for MoP itself I don't know why people get so hung up on the pandas. We already had cows and wolves. And it definitely isn't the start of carebear WoW. Some of the most brutal moments happened in MoP like literally gunning down unarmed horde who are just trying not to drown. The whole faction war aspect of the game was probably more brutal in MoP than in any other expansion. Kung fu panda has a lot to answer for when it comes to peoples perception of MoP despite the pandaren pre-dating it.
I came to WoW with Classic and by TBC P2 I was quite bored of the same game loop and stopped playing all versions of WoW. So, I can't comprehend how someone can keep on playing the same again again and again while there is such variety of games from all kinds of genres out there.
People who never played another game mostly. I want to mention games like vindictus, tera and aion were already out at this point. Swtor and rifts were out, dc universe was out, pso2 was out, gw2 and secret world was out. So many MMOs which tried different things, many did specific things better than wow.
@@candykit5382 Weird how they all failed though mostly. SWTOR was lame. GW2 looked like shit and the combat was jank compared to WoW. One of the primary reasons why WoW is still so addictive to play is 1. the combat, which is the most important core gameplay loop and 2. the visuals.
@@stylishskater92 i said many did some things better than wow. They also had their own failings. People forget aion had 7 million subscribers at one point before it crashed and burned. Again people never played another mmo so they have no idea whats good or bad in wow.
Says SoD and Classic are for people that are garbage meanwhile he is dumbfounded he cant master loot everything to himself and get boosted like he does in fucking keys and retail raids!
You know, if they implement this for WoD it might actually not be a garbage expansion. Take everything in current WoW in place it into WoD and you have a pretty decent experience.
Don't even have retail installed. Playing 3 toons already, 2 on sod 1 on cata prepatch, I'll be 80 with couple days to spare Add-ons on cata don't have the quests correct, hella annoying.

Try it out.
Yes it is but Asmomgold has been down on WoW lately so that means his hive mind of followers feel the same way.
Watch someone more positive and then consider it. Asmongold caters to wow haters nowadays.
Wait.. Panda was 12y ago???? what have i done between then and now? wtf?
Inflation 🎉
So glad they fixed Rell & Sully’s stories where you would’ve been nearly insta-killed if you didn’t know how to kite😭🙏
Mists was the best post WotLK expansion. Most fun I ever had playing a fury warrior!
Mop and legion fs
Braindead take from subhuman who sits at home 24/7
I'm having fun playing the panda remix
man i’m now 29 , i remember not even legally being able to drink when this came out lol
You know, if they implement this for WoD it might actually not be a garbage expansion. Take everything in current WoW in place it into WoD and you have a pretty decent experience.
Enjoy...
Asmong not trying to shit on wow even when he has no idea about the game, challenge: Imossible
Don't even have retail installed.
Playing 3 toons already, 2 on sod 1 on cata prepatch, I'll be 80 with couple days to spare
Add-ons on cata don't have the quests correct, hella annoying.
@TheSunisaDetractorhe talking to asmongold
I get what he's saying, though. You're basically just playing retail but leveling in mop zones.
How do people not realize that it has always been available to quest in pandaria still, just like this. Like the only difference here is the rewards.
Dude, seeing Asmongler, your iron man character from back in the day hits diffrent😆
This is a great idea from blizzard. Hope they do it with another expansion next time around.
finally, the best expansion
Bro looks the the wacky waving arm- inflatable tube guys in the thumbnail 😂 fetch muh pipe cleaners
I haven't played WoW since 2013. Now I kinda miss it. Might have to dust off my Battlepass.
I'm confused, is this classic Mists of Pandaria? But it's in the retail version? Couldn't you just do this exact same thing by leveling a retail character through the MoP zones?
You could, yes. But you don’t get any of the cross-class and weird as fuck new skills that you socket into your armor.
It's season of discovery for retail essentially, gems act like runes and armor is much much easier to get exactly what you want
This is effectively just retail wow Chromie Time pandaria. But with some flavor added and you can access easy modes of the raids / dungeons.
2012.. That must be why I liked pandaria so much. This was the xpac before the world got so stupid.
The only reason they are offering this free to lvl 20 is because they are desperately hoping you pay to resub and get addicted again
I love how he blames the game right away lol guy just doesn’t know how to work it
