I still really like his ER playthroughs perhaps better overall because they feel like a portal fantasy where our boy gets sent to another world but his DS playthrough is most likely the funniest thing he's ever done. I think my favorite part was when he decided to play with a M+KB but didn't know where the heal button was so he kept switching between his controller and keyboard for that single reason.

progression in this game is a double edged sword, because A lot of people feel the game is boring because their's no Actual Clear cut way to figure out wtf you're supposed to be doing. so if you don't know any better you will find yourself just roaming around trying to find literally anything and you'll get bored, which a lot of new players find themselves doing, Myself included. iv never actually beaten Elden ring, and its because I just get bored before i'm barely half way through the game, and I don't even know if the "half way though the game" is true because I never actually found out how far into the game I actually am... because in Elden ring you can kill 30 bosses and not progress in the story at all. Its weird because i have over a thousand hours in Each dark souls game, but i only have like 200 in elden ring, not sure why, the game just doesent feel rewarding as it should.

@@heibk-2019 it's all about perspective. To me new playthroughs are always exciting because I get ideas for new builds to run. It's fun to see how they pan out. Sometimes the build doesn't pan out and I have to restart and alter it a bit but I really don't mind. Almost every playthrough I find something new I haven't seen yet.

Exploration feels rewarding and you always find new hidden away items and gear and enemies to fight. It's almost infinitely replayable for me.
Bruh Elden Ring is so much fun to watch. It's one of those games that you can watch different people play it and you will get a different experience every time depending on their play style and and what class of warrior they choose.
Dead right about the runebears. I can handle Malenia with the right setup, but the bears just shred. The Dragonbarrow one especially has a HP bar so high it should read "do not fight me. go somewhere else"
Bald Don Frye CAC. I swear, with every RPG, if you're going for max damage build, the stats to pay the most attention to are always strength/dexterity, base defense/heavy armor, passive healing and fastest striking speed weapons.
If you really want the OP shield experience, try the Thumbprint Shield and the Ruins Greatsword. You have to put a crap-load of points into endurance, but you can one-hand the sword, or you can two-hand them interchangeably with Shield Crash on the shield. They both scale well with strength, it gives you a ton of flexibility for close and medium range combat, and you get AOE from the sword's ash which, if you line it up right, will hit big enemies multiple times and can take out groups of smaller mobs with ease, even at end game.
I really enjoyed Asmons halbardo playthrough I hope he does the full thing again and uploads all his vids of this 2nd playthrough man the first series was such a good time I never laughed fuckin harder in my life from his reactions good times!!! 🙌
Asmond doesn't know that he can equip a Greatsword two-handed, even if you don't have enough strength. watching him play more I don't even think he knows how to power attack. And because of this he doesn't know how to guard counter properly 😂
yeah he does he literally had to explain to chat how it worked bc they said he could use the halberd last run and he didnt have the stats for it they were telling him you can wield any weapon 2 handed but its not correct you need 50% of the stats to 2 hand. he doesnt need to 2 hand this greatsword bc the requirements are so low he can meet them. he knows how to power attack he just r1 spams bc its easy. yeah i dont think hes ever guard countered he probably forgot you can do it.

I play my second playthrough as Prisoner. With a thrusting sword and a small 100% physical shield (with parry) and some magic enchantment to increase damage. It is pretty good!
my first playthrough was a pure improvisation and level up based on what it was giving the most at the time. I had to rebirth at some point following a strength/faith build and i became (one of) the Elden Lord :) In my Demon's Souls playthrough i had heavy shield and a spear (with a bow), man it is strong!

It is though. Had really fun with Elden Ring for the first 20 hours, but the copy/paste felt very strong after that. Pretty boring boss mechanics overall. The great thing about the game is its scale and its exploration of the world. Its probably their second or third best game. 8/10 imo Even though Rag has alot of issues too, the entire experience is better imo. Any game can win and I will still be happy. Not like GOTY matters at all anyway

You can kinda change the head size, Asmon’s DS3 character had a huge head. You just can’t go overboard with it like you can with some Skyrim character creation mods.

I would say it took less skill in chap 3/4, striker burst/mk7/twin mag/red eye were all low skill weapons you can miss half a clip and still kill your opponent, most my friends stopped playing this season because the weapons are less forgiving
