Good thing asmongold didn't get the greatclub in blighttown it does more damage than the zweihander and has a A in strength and has more AR asmongold still hasn't realized if you cutt the dragons tails off you get dragon weapons.
I like how he still has mostly no clue what he's doing. He still doesn't even understand that Zweihander isn't a strength weapon and just dumps levels mindlessly into strength even though past 27 it yields you basically nothing, he still fatrolls, uses ring of the evil eye (unironically probably the most useless ring in the entire game) etc. He's still playing the game like a first-playthrough person lmao.
He knows full well that strength doesn't change anything. A million people tell him the same thing on multiple runs and he always goes vitality and strength. Fat rolling was a conscious decision he explains near the beginning. Not sure how using Ring of the Evil Eye is "ironic", there's nothing ironic about it. He literally got it and used it to help him stay topped up (again, he explained it). Playing in a "sub-optimal" is perfectly okay, he's having fun and got the job done. I did a couple no death runs in Bloodborne. I even included grabbing all items including ones in poison swamps or around Winter lanterns and did all bosses on the surface.
as much as I love the setting and theme and combat and music and everything else, the bloodborne design kinda sucks ass tbh: some long runs, hard to see shit in the dark without the lantern, have to farm blood vials/runes to buy blood vials if you die on a boss twice or more, can't just rest/level up at a lamp, have to sit through double load screens, console only/30 frames. game would be much better if it was on PC, were able to rest/level up at lamps, and if say at least 10 blood vials respawned on death. no reason to punish people for fighting new bosses by making them go back and fight trash packs repeatedly just for health pots.
@@Afflictamine the farming vials thing is just a new player learning the game thing. Once you know what your doing you dont have to farm them anymore. The game gives them out like candy you get way more than you can use
@@procow2274 I guess it kind of depends what area of the game you run out of vials during, some parts its easier to farm them especially late game, but early game it can be quite rough

I played ds2 way more than any other. Pvp was great with a ton of variety, and Majula is vibe.
Dark Souls 2 is actually really fucking good, Scholar of the First Sin is amazing, it has the best characters and best lore in all Souls games, Aldia alone is more then enough to place it in that position.

Funniest Shit I've ever Seen
2:57:30 death
1:17:08 where did the toxin Bar go ?
Anyone else think the castle in the intro looks like Leyndell Capital before a giant dead dragon was laid on top of it?
Not everything needs to be min-maxed.
@@Divisibly9610 Bro this goes beyond sub optimal, he's gimping the fuck out of himself for making a build like this and playing the way he does and he's not even aware of it because he refuses to even think of trying something different.
he plays with full Havel lol he dosent need to know how to play, reason why he hates DS2, poise is easy to break there and you cant just face tank bosses like he does and ignore their mechanics.
asmon could do a lvl 1 deathless run and gatekeepers like you would still whine and cry in the comments
Thanks for all the good times James! Happy 20 year anniversary
Booty warriors
asmon attempting a dark souls run is the only thing he has more difficulty with than admitting to everyone that he's never returning to ff14
random thought: you think asmongold be eating vegetables? like for dinner.
2:28:49 "We could have fixed her." This made me spit out my coffee laughing.
Havel's ring would make you use less stamina while crushing your enemies to death with the zweihander
FUN FACT: When this game was in development they knew there would be 10 genders in 2024 and left space for them. 0:38
2:58:03 foreshadows the beginning of the end. Rip.
Damn son, he actually didnt die.
Amazing vod
I don’t know about y’all, but the sound design of ds1 is so good, tbh kind of relaxing
Dude almost went the skyrim route and almost never played the game
because DS1 is actually good plus he beat it before
The last time I played Dark Souls I, was March 31, 2016. Crazy.
I could try 100 times and not get hit by the rolling boulder exactly like that.
I did a couple no death runs in Bloodborne.
I even included grabbing all items including ones in poison swamps or around Winter lanterns and did all bosses on the surface.
@Bill Clinton Enjoyer well i dont lie so...
as much as I love the setting and theme and combat and music and everything else, the bloodborne design kinda sucks ass tbh: some long runs, hard to see shit in the dark without the lantern, have to farm blood vials/runes to buy blood vials if you die on a boss twice or more, can't just rest/level up at a lamp, have to sit through double load screens, console only/30 frames.
game would be much better if it was on PC, were able to rest/level up at lamps, and if say at least 10 blood vials respawned on death. no reason to punish people for fighting new bosses by making them go back and fight trash packs repeatedly just for health pots.
@@Afflictamine well again it depends on how experienced you are. Once you know what your doing you quite literally never have to farm for bullets or vials ever again. Or have to buy them.
If you know what your doing even just starting out in a new game you never have to farm them. You acquire enough naturally just looking for blood shards and clearing areas that running out isn't a issue
Pretty solid attempt this time, kind of a bs way to die to the ball in sen's, seemed like he got knocked back into the path of the ball and hit by it again 3 times in a row leading to an instant death, but such is the way of dark souls.
I mean, everyone that replayed DS1 a few times knows about the balls in there and how to survive throughout that level without even getting hit.
But it was a nice attempt by Asmon tbh.
"Every other boss is a joke" que montage of you dying to them all except the masked man lol
