- A reckless driver led Milwaukee Police on a pursuit that ended in the Zoo Interchange on October 15, 2021. The occupants in the vehicle refused to comply with law enforcement orders and the SWAT Team was called to remove them safely from the vehicle. No one was injured. If this had happened in Arkansas the chase would have lasted about 10 minutes and he would have been dragged out of the window immediately.

This pursuit would have been over and done with in the first five minutes if Milwaukee PD would allow their officers to use the PIT maneuver.
They won't because Milwaukee is a compact city. A pit maneuver would risk pedestrians lives.

You know what’s even more embarrassing, is not knowing that when a officer calls out that there running and what their speed is …the supervisor tells them how fast they can go depending on weather, traffic, and location! It’s not up to the officer to do a pit maneuver either! So if it seems the PM took longer then it should’ve, it’s because they were waiting on the supervisor to make the call! I bet you’re wondering how I know this…I’m not cop….but 2 out of 4 of my kids …are officers!! Technically you’re entire comment is embarrassing because you don’t know jack💩!

This is for current law enforcement. I know it's crucial to convey as much info as possible during a pursuit, but does it not impede that ability for everyone to coordinate stop sticks, location of backup etc... By continuously rambling the same info without letting go of the radio therefore stopping anyone else from communication on the radio?
All the other officers can hear everything that is being said and where the suspect is heading, so if they are on the road the suspect is heading down they set up stop-sticks, and if they get a break in the radio then they try and warn the officers chasing the suspect where the stop-sticks are at. The officers that are setting up stop sticks don't need to coordinate with the officers that are chasing the suspect. It's nice to get the message out so that the officers can slow down and not hit the stop-sticks themselves, but it's not a must, and sometimes officers are a bit too close to the suspects and hit the stop-sticks themselves, so they end up having to call two wreckers. lol.
This is policy to report the pursuit. There are also several different channels LEO use. If you don't like the dialog either don't watch or mute because most agencies in USA do this.
Believe it or not the officers are smarter then you give them credit for.
Repeating the info is handy for if someone misses details the first few times or hops onto the frequency mid chase to help. And with a chase this long it's possible that the weather wont stay the same as when it started, or it might go so far that the weather is different in another area.
Also stop sticks arent coordinated, individual cops just use them where they think the car will drive past. Backup will be the several cars following the chase, and the first car repeating where theyre driving and how fast helps those other cars join the chase.
It is Milwaukee's policy to do this. I find it obnoxious and agree with you. I'm guessing when a pursuit starts they must jump channels or dispatch breaks them to a separate one. You never hear any other radio traffic with their videos except what pertains to the chase. Hell, the radio is tied up 98% of the time do we could never hear any other traffic.

I’ve seen a car full of people stopped like this and the only reason they weren’t getting out is because they were trying to do as much drugs as they could before jail!

Guys, these young scholars were simply on their way to their Volunteer positions at the local food bank. They had just left church after a very long day at their gainful employment and just wanted to give back to the community.
I'm loving the fact that MPD is equipping themselves with drones. Milwaukee has gotten alot worse since I left as a resident in 2018. If they would change the laws towards juveniles and make them more strict, I guarantee you that Grand Theft Auto will reduce up there. Sometimes I believe Milwaukee purposely have less strict laws so the city can make more money off of crime.
