Great review. Please do more. Regarding the ray ii, I like it more than the seiko also. But, it will be trash once Orient discontinues it as parts and servicing will no longer be available. Basically, it's just a disposable watch, and that fact takes away all my satisfaction in it.
Late to the party, but holding the seconds back with the crown doesn’t damage the gear train. The second-stop mechanism in watches pretty much does the same thing - lodges itself either on the balance to stop it, or a small piece of metal in the gears - causing no damage.
