  • Friendship's Blossom... If you have gained the trust of a horse, you have won a friend for life.
    I've brought back one of your favorite soap designs, with a new twist! This time, I chose a mint green and peachy orange color palette for the sky to match the fragrance that I chose from Little Bee Scents! Neroli, also known as Orange Blossom, is one of my recent obsessions. How can something smell so sophisticated, complex, delicate and yet intoxicating at the same time? I can't get enough of this one!
    I also spent an entire week making tiny embeds out of my own soap dough, arranging and rearranging them, handpainting tiny details, remaking them in different shades and ditching some altogether (also spamming a few close friends with photos of each one, you know who you are, and I am so thankful for you!) until I was able to come up with the perfect composition to top these off.
    I only made one batch, so grab a bar while you can! The excess I scraped out made the loveliest watercolor effect in another design, and you can find these in my shop as well.

    I just adore this stencil scene! It still makes me think of that "horse-shaped rock becoming a horse through the wishes & love of the girl" story idea that i came up with the last time! 😂❤😊

    Question! I have watched so many of your videos and am consistently blown away with how detailed and beautiful they are. Why do you always do them upside-down? Couldn't the stencils be made to work from the bottoms up?

    • @CreamyObsession
      @CreamyObsession  Год назад

      Thank you! Not all soaps are made upside down, it depends on the design. Some would just be difficult to execute right side up! In example, it'd be difficult to get a blade of grass made out of soap batter to stand up straight, and would also require scraping out a ton of excess around (not to mention, you'd likely scrape it right off with everything else). Meanwhile, scraping it out upside down would simply require scraping out a small crevice which needs no support at all to hold it in place. Then, there are also small details to think through like which way batter would curve when pouring certain techniques (in example the halo around the horse and girl in this particular soap, it wouldn't look right curved the other direction!), and which side would look best in the finished design. My Beach Daisy design is one off the top of my head that was made right side up, though, if you want to see that in action! Hope this explains it somewhat 😊

      I've even made a couple sideways because the pours made sense that way! Timeless Melody and Clean slate are examples of this.
      A few more that were made right side up include Autumn Bridge, Moonlit Arctic, Pink Coconut, Under the Beach Umbrella, Cookies and Milk, Sunset Shores, Deck the Halls, Life's a Peach, Autumn Apple, A Christmas Wish, and Santa's Leather belt. There are quite a few of them! 😊

    I have seen you do sculpted layers so many times and it still amazes me! The way you were able to get that ombre so consistent through all the layers is amazing!

    I just bought this stencil. how much of the white do you add to get the ombre?
    also what are you doing with the scraped soap?

    • @CreamyObsession
      @CreamyObsession  8 месяцев назад

      I use a ratio of probably 70% white to 30% of starting color. I also add a mica/oil mixture to create the ombre into the orange color later. As for the scraped soap, I just put this into individual cavity molds to use as samples later.
